Loved the location, long driveway, ample parking, and of course walking distance to a lovely, inviting, warm restaurant
The river was a breathtaking view, and It was peaceful. We had a simple, easy check-in, which was great!
The room/unit was big and spacious and seemed clean to the eye, and the spa bath was bliss. They had this cool bath bag to add to water while was filling, which we loved!
Tv worked well, we streamed the All Blacks 2nd game, and air conditioning worked well and was a blessing on the rainy, cold night we arrived.
Jug, fridge, and other facilities in the room were absolutely up to par.
I Didn't enioy the "double" ( 2 single mattress together) bed, fell into the middle gap most of the night, so wasn't all that comfortable, and pillows were a little less to be desired.
Spa & Bathroom: The Downside was the tap had seen better days,( starting to come unstuck from the wall) and the bathroom windows could have had a better clean (quite a bit of black/green build-up).

Beautiful and well maintained gardens and restaurant, staff were lovely and very helpful.
It was a bit outside the city as we didn't have a car it was a taxi ride for us to get into town.

Location and views were just as expected and really lovely. Big spacious room, very comfortable luxury bed and great shower. Loved having the small gym available to use, and to look out the veranda at nights at the stars.
Light carpet which showed a few marks. Otherwise everything else was great.

Location was amazing, off SH3 so quiet and isolated. Only about 8 min drive away from central New Plymouth and less than 5 min drive from supermarket

Accommodation set in beautifully maintained grounds with magnificent views out towards native bush and a mountain fed stream. Our unit was warm and quiet. Excellent onsite restaurant - Quails Nest Eatery.

Just the perfect place...even a bonus view of the MT when we left..have to stay when the restaurant is open next time..as the menu looks fabulous.

One Burgess Hill was all round a magnificent facility. It is set in a wonderfully landscaped property which ensures privacy, buffering of any urban sounds and a stunning vista. It is a discreet location set well back from the access road with a thoughtful sighting of the accommodation blocks facing a magnificent river. Additionally you get to look at cows grazing immediately in front of the on site restaurant!
Our room was well equipped and a good size. Contemporary design and fittings and fixtures. But unfortunately all the taps (bar one) had been damaged. The faucet in the bath spa/overhead shower was completely broken. On the very positive side, when I reported these issues to the Management, I received an excellent response. My other advice would be for an onsite employee to check these features regularly.

We loved this spacious, comfortable motel set in large, beautifully groomed grounds with a fantastic outlook over the river. Good cooking facilities with enough room to use them and, had the weather been a little warmer, the opportunity to sit outside.
A small thing. The microwave is sensibly located on an upper shelf. However the nature of the display panel renders it unreadable to a short person without them standing on a chair.

The view is absolutely stunning
Our bed was a little tired, we both were rolling into the middle and our shower head was very loose. But other than that, we loved the location

Excellent location and view, I highly recommend this place.
I had made a last-minute booking for a garden view room as only that was available, and while booking in the comments section I had requested a river view if available. To my surprise when I arrived I received a river-view room which made us very happy. The room was very neat and tidy, the kitchenette was stocked and a clean bathroom. The view from the room is very beautiful and the location is a short drive from the city.

Very peaceful clean and fabulous place to relax. So much greenery aeound and close to the city! The river makes it a relaxing spot. Lovely spacious and comfortable room.

The hotel was really nice with a friendly staff and amazing view. All the tiwels, tea, coffee and bath soup and solt were renewed every day. It was very clean, friendly and quiet. The hotel is very close to the city (if you use a car). The food in a restaurant was very tasty and good organised.

The great location. The design of the apartment. The wooden log for heating in the hall.
The bed and pillow were not comfortable at all. The bed seems to be not clean. My self and my son got bytes of insects and our legs were itching and red for the next 3 days. The heater was not working in one of the rooms. The kitchen was not having any exhaust fan.

Fantastic room, I was upgraded to one with a bath tub which was amazing. The views of the river were incredible. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with equipment.
