the food served was enjoyable
the SMALL double bed was not expected in what was supposed to be an EXECUTIVE room.
the en-suite door virtually touches the corner of the sink resulting in trapped fingers!
the fire alarm going off at midnight with no resultant explanation or clearance explanation.
the excessive amount of emails involving registration etc prior to arrival, supposedly NECESSARY as the Reception would NOT be manned on arrival but guess what Reception was manned as normal!
the chaotic/inconvenient/excessive charges for car parking through local council car parks.

The hotel and food were excellent but wish the bar had been open longer as when we left the pub we thought we could have drink in the hitel bar but it shut. We took a drink back up to our room.

Parking is advertised as part of the facilities inferring that there is in house parking. Foundry 34 does NOT have its own parking. We had to pay £25 !!!!

Great location, lovely room, plenty of tea and coffee, modern bathroom nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it.
Being woken up about 4.00am by the dustmen emptying the bins!!! Light bulbs not bright enough in the bathroom.

The room was clean and well maintained, modern looking. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Room was adjacent to a patio / smoking area which could have been a problem if anybody had used that area in the evening or at night but as it was that didn't happen so all was good

Excellent little find. Comfortable room with outstanding food options for both dinner and breakfast. Lovely staff who were really helpful with the parking and the parking disc to cover the last hour of our stay the next morning.

The breakfast was great, but the kitchen close after 10, if you miss it, it is your loss. The facilities were all good. Despite no parking available, but the nearest public parking area is not far. The scenery from the hotel was great.
The hotel located right next to a noisy bar. And you will heard drunk people yelling and heavy music all night, which might not be good news to you if you plan to go to bed earlier than 11. But it quieted down after 12.

This visit was part of a bike-packing trip. I arrived an hour before check-in time, but I was very grateful that they accommodated an early check-in so I could use the shower. Very friendly staff! I was able to book dinner for both nights in the restaurant and the pasta of the week was delicious. Very clean rooms and top-quality bathroom.
I received information from the hotel prior to the visit on potential night-life noise on weekends, which was present, but with some earplugs it didn't bother me too much. I could store my bike in a secured shed, but felt a bit edgy as this was also a space for food preparation and occasionally the door was open. Nothing happened though and I had a chainlock as extra protection :).

it was right in the town senator and the food at the restaurant was amazing
I think there would always be some present at the hotel and be able to cheek In earlier I had traveled all day to get there and had to spend a further 4 hours walking around and the pub across the road is really noisy

The location was ideal
As this is classed as a Boutique Establishment we were possibly expecting the bedrooms and service levels to be somewhat more superior than in previous hotels that we have stayed in . The evening meal was most enjoyable but to have to wait for over half an hour for our cooked breakfasts the following morning ( having been requested to pre-book a specific time for breakfast in advance ) was somewhat frustrating.

tiny bed, didn’t realise it was a single when I booked but at 6 1’ my feet were hanging out the end.
The mattress was old, lumpy with a hollow in the middle making sleep difficult and uncomfortable

The location was excellent! Close to shops and restaurants. We also ate in the restaurant on two nights out of our three, and the food and service were excellent!
We booked for three nights and not once did we have any form of housekeeping. There was only one set of towels for two people - nothing in the room was replenished (toilet rolls/tea tray/bins not emptied). This is pretty basic stuff and would have expected better for the price paid. The room we were in (No 4) had, what sounded like, a generator which was in the bathroom cupboard so was quite noisy.

Excellent facilities- hot and powerful shower, tea and coffee, comfy bed, warm and cosy room, lovely bar and restaurant.

The room had a contemporary feel, was well appointed and spotlessly clean and tidy
The access to the bedrooms was through a function room. The room was not in use during our stay so it wasn’t a problem for us, but may have been a little odd and potentially noisy were it to be in use,

The room was ‘bijou’ but very comfortable and ideal for one person. I had not booked a table but the staff were able to accommodate me for a delicious Sunday roast!
My only criticism was that I had to wait rather a long while for my evening meal - but when it arrived it was worth the wait!
