The property was lovely, very clean. Everything we needed for a couples days away

Very friendly owner. Great welcome and a nice room. Comfortable king size bed and nice refreshments provided.

A few black flies in the room- maybe we got unlucky, but not a major problem.

The bed was amazing!!! I could have slept for days. The host was very friendly too. A lovely stay in a great location.

So comfortable, made to feel so welcome by Michael as Steve wasn't around. Honestly the best nights sleep of my holiday. Thank you

Lovely cottage. Bed huge and comfortable. Bathroom adjacent to room, lovely and clean. Local pub very friendly and food was good. A walk for our two dogs just across the road. Tea and coffee supplied. Parking easy. A very warm welcome from Michael. Many thanks

Very comfy bed. Flexible with check in times. Great location, not far from lake. Loved small details as water, kettle, biscuits, etc. - very nice from host. Really bath style.

Need to feel very welcome

Swallow Barn is an exceptional place, spoteless clean and very comfortable. Love exterior and interior design of this house and its room is well decorated, which looks just like the pictures. The host, Steve was very friendly and welcoming. Most importantly, this is a dog friendly place. Our dog enjoyed his stay including us.

You will be staying with a host but you would still have your own privacy. Not recommended for anyone who doesn't like dog (no issue for us because we love dog)

the property was very clean, comfortable, and a really cosy place. It was close to the town centre, but still distant from the noises of the town place was very close to bus stop from where we can access regular buses between Penrith and Windermere.

Lovely and friendly - beautiful room and super comfy bed.

Steve is a great host, he had our room ready for us before check in time. The bed was extremely comfortable, perfect for a night after a big hike :)

Location was easy to find, great place to plan your trips from, massive bed which was so comfy & ste the host was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you

Warm and friendly greeting from Steve who was happy to accommodate our needs and those of our canine companions. We enjoyed a relaxed and comfortable stay, sleeping well in a beautifully appointed room. Steve provided information of places to eat in easy walking distance and there were petrol stations nearby to fuel up for our onward journey. A comfortable and relaxed break from a long journey.

Great value for money room for stop off- very close to A66 and M6. Room is the hosts house - but access is next to the front door. Very big comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful host.

The room was loads space nice and clean bid wardrobes with plenty ov space the supersize king bed you could sleep 4 in it the owner is so helpfull can't do enough for you nothings a problem. To him I will defo stop their again if your looking for a place to stay try here so comfortable and warming Peter c

Perfect location, close to all amenities Penrith has to offer but on the outskirts so nice and quiet. Comfortable bed and a cosy room, couldn’t ask for more. And the host was incredibly accommodating and friendly. Would happily recommend Swallow Barn to anyone.
