Для выбранной категории жилья - это отлично. Заботливая хозяйка гестхауса все организовывала чётко и рационально. Можно заказать и завтрак, и ланч, и обед. Хозяйка прекрасно готовит национальные блюда. Много экзотических фруктов и овощей. До остановки междугороднего автобуса, до входа на основные достопримечательности - очень близко. Можно посмотреть закат солнца над озером.

Для данной ценовой категории все отлично, замечаний нет.

This accommodation is recommended. The family that runs the room is wonderful. They are super nice and always wait for you with a smile or a tea in the afternoon. The breakfast is very rich and filling. It is a large room with a bathroom and two beds. Additionally (the best thing about the house) there is a balcony with a table and chairs and views of the mountains. I recommend it!!

Kelum und seine Mutter haben alles getan, so dass man sich wohl fühlte. Ich fühlte mich schon fast wie ein Familienmitglied. Die Ruinen sind sehr nah und man kann ein Fahrrad mieten. Das Nachtessen der Oma ist äußerst vielfältig und vorzüglich - eine Erfahrung die man nicht verpassen sollte. Man sollte aber Hunger mitbringen. Kelum ist sehr ausdauernd und erfahren, wenn es um das finden von Elefanten in den Nationalparks geht. Ich genoss seine Safari. Schön fand ich, dass man die Elefanten wirklich beobachten konnte und nicht sofort weiterfuhr.

Es ist eine Budgetunterkunft. Für mich zählten jedoch die oben erwähnten Punkte.

도착 당일 코끼리 사파리(48000루피)를 하고 다음 날 오전 폴론나루와 유적지 관광(5000루피)을 하는 코스가 아주 좋다. 늦게까지 관광을 마치고 이 집에서 저녁(인당 1500루피)을 먹길 추천한다. 나름대로 가정식이 매우 좋다. 굳이 밖에서 안 사먹는게 더 낫다. 대다수 스리랑카의 게스트하우스 식사가 외부식당보다 좋은 편이다.(이건 호텔도 마찬가지임 풀보드로 예약하는게 낫다.) 여기 사장인 켈룸이 한국에서 일하다 왔는데 한국인에게 친절하고 제공하는 서비스 가격이 적절한 편이다. 여행을 위해서는 여기를 적극 추천하고 쉬는건 따로 좋은 숙소에 머물면 여독이 풀린다. 캔디행버스까지 알아봐주고 켈룸에게 여로모로 고마움을 표한다.

숙소는 낡았다. 그러나 에어컨도 있고 있을 만 하다. 그냥 여행을 위한 아지트로 이해하면 편하다. 사파리와 유적지안내에 중점을 두고 이용하면 만족스럽다. 그리고 가격이 너무 싸지 않은가 이정도에 뭘 더 바라겠는가

I feel bad for this because the woman is good but The spiders in the room at first threw me back abdi Laundry for 10 pieces of clothing tops and this things at most 800 rupees and have lost one my pants when I send them a message no one has answered me.Spiders And broken door

Noisy fan and limited wifi

The family is awesome and so kind. We also had our most tasty rice and curry cooked by the mother. If you want to see elephants, they have their own jeep for safari tour (fair price and possibility to get to remote area). Due to an emergency, they helped me to find a ride to Colombo in 30min and took care of my friend during her stay. Thank you again for everything ❤️

The location was great to visit the ancient city and they offer bicycle rentals.

As a solo woman traveller, I felt very pressurised to say yes to the upselling, as everything seem urgent so I couldn't think it through properly. The owner has his own safari jeep, which he promotes tours from for 40,000LKR. This price seemed a bit expensive to me, so naturally questioned it as I didn't feel like I had the time to research it as he said we had to leave within an hour of me arriving at the accommodation. He said well petrol is 15,000, entry is 8,000, security is 3,000, etc. He made me pay the money upfront in cash before leaving. I saw him fill his tank for 12,000 and asked to see the entry ticket when he paid for that. He responded with 'I'll show you later' but never did and after doing some research online, the entry to that particular national park was definitely less than that. I did enjoy the safari though, even though I had been ripped off. I would have haggled the price down if I didn't feel so pressurised. Before we for the safari, he also promoted dinner at their home for 1,500LKR. Now this is more than double the price of what you get locally for a rice and curry meal, but for convenience and the promise that the meal included dessert and fruits, I agreed. The main meal was good, but there was no dessert, no drink options other than water and I got 5 small pieces of pineapple as the 'fruit' which was extremely disappointing. They are money oriented and do not put the guests first. They asked me to pay the bill for the room, dinner and bicycle rental (for the day after) all before I went to bed! The next morning his mother dropped a hot water flask and he reaction was 'oh no 2,000LKR' which is unbelievable. Wouldn't you check first whether she had spilled any water on her guest?!

We had a great stay and the whole family welcomed us. The rooms had everything you need and the beds were comfy. The dinner cooked by the host was really delicious and one of the best we had during our trip. We also went on a safari organised by the host. He has a lot of knowledge and we could take our time to watch the animals. We really enjoyed the tour because there were no other jeeps (Maduru Oya National Park) and we did the safari without disturbing the animals. Absolutely recommend the guesthouse and the Safari!

The guest house is a great location, just down the road from the ancient city and I rented a bike to go and explore it. Food was amazing from the host, some of the best I had in Sri Lanka. I would definitely recommend a stay. Especially as a solo traveller it was a nice break for two nights.

Very kind family running the homestay. They will do everything to accommodate you. Great advice on transport and how to see the temples. Even though we didn't have time the guy has a great jeep for the safari and excellent local knowledge.

The people were lovely. Very helpful and warm. I like the fact there is water to take so you need not buy more plastic. The a/c was welcome at night to sleep. The bed was comfortable. The location is excellent. Just around the back is the lake and the entrance to polonnaruwa site. They rent bicycles which was a great way to see all of polonnaruwa at your own pace. Across the street on the corner is a nice restaurant. And a shop to the right with great chicken samosas.

The bathroom needs a good clean and renovation. When I was there a rubber had gone in the toilet and flushing meant water squirting everywhere. Also the shower was warmish cold but since it was so hot it didn't matter so much. I also felt the floor and bathroom could be cleaner. But on the other hand the price was fine for the room.

The host organized a safari and city tour for me. Both were good experiences. He has his own jeep and took me everywhere. During the safari, we didn't encounter other jeeps and were able to see the animals in their natural state. It is recommended!

Keloom & Suri are wonderful hosts, we had a fantastic stay with them. Keloom took us on safari in his jeep to a much less visited national park where we saw lots of elephants & their calves. We also saw a wide variety of birds, a jackal & crocodile & lots of other wildlife, a truly amazing experience. We had the whole park to ourselves, we didn't meet another jeep so we could watch the animals without any other human or vehicle noise, it was fantastic, a wonderful way to see the elephants enjoying their lives. The safari trip was 6 hours & very good value, we would definitely recommend doing it. Keloom is very knowledgeable & passionate about the safaris, wildlife & parks. A spotter from the park also accompanied us. Keloom also took us to Sigiriya & Dambuhlla as a day trip which was perfect. Keloom doesn't rush you, you have as much time as you want at the sites. We had planned to stay in Sigiriya but decided not to & we are really pleased we didn't as it meant we had a extra day at Keloom & Suri's place. Suri is amazing cook & you should definitely have dinner here, absolutely delicious home cooked Sri Lankan food. This stay has been the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka.

Warm & kind hosts, amazing food, offer safari to Maduru Oya NP - a tranquil park with slightly less elephants, but possibly greater variety of animals (we saw plenty). Excellent value for money! Host offers free refill of water, so during these days you won't waste plastic bottles :)

Bed is ok. Matress could be better. Airco is wonderful though! Silent. And warm water in the shower.

Very friendly welcoming with free Sri Lankan tea. Room was cosy and clean, AC was great and so was the shower. They asked us if we would like to have dinner prepared by the « mama », you certainly have to do this! Food was amazing, the best we had yet in Sri Lanka! The owner has his own Jeep and can take you on Safari. It is also possible to (very cheaply) rent bikes to explore Polonnaruwa ancient city. The owner has a gem/jewel business, great explanation about the different stones in Sri Lanka and what to look out for in a quality gem. You can also buy from him, but it is not necessary, he will still give you the explanation with a big smile, without pressure. :) The breakfast was also very good, with plenty of fresh fruits.

Unbeatable hospitality from the host. Kalum made us feel like part of the family and his mother is an excellent cook. We also went on a safari with them, which was an amazing experience with lots of up-close but respectful viewing of the animals without lots of other jeeps around (like in the bigger parks). I would recommend this place also for families!

Very helpful family, lots of good tips. Room was clean and neat, I rented a bike which was perfect for exploring the near by ruins. Delicious home cooked meal by the mother for small fee. She helped me to the bus very early which was kind.

The family were lovely and so helpful. They lent us bicycles so we could explore the ancient city. They cooked us the most delicious supper of rice & curry. It was one of the best meals we have had In Sri Lanka. Great location and comfy & clean room.

a guesthouse with a very good helpfull owner. host an manager..He organisized for me a super safari with a fair price I saw really many elephants with their bsbiies because my driver knew the special little ways. He also had knowlidges about the danger. m The heart of Thisal Guesthouse is the mother. When i arrives, i was ill .Mother gave me advices cooked tea.. So I felt soon.better. I remember the 3 days on Thidsl Guesthouse with a good feeling and can warmley recommand this stay.
