Lovely friendly place to stay. Very happy to have my two dogs stay with me and gave me an excellent room for them with french windows that opened onto the garden.

Breakfast was great. Served on time , hot and tasty. Good atmosphere and conversations with hosts and other guests. Plenty of food. Evening meals in Beggars roost good value and well served up.

The owners/staff were so helpful and friendly.

Would have been nice to have a steak on the dinner menu.

Initially bed appeared to have stains on the mattress plus the “under sheet” didn’t seem fresh & clean. Rectified by the Landlady on the day of arrival.Generally

Such a warm welcome, and very friendly service in general, without ever being in-your-face. I've noticed so often when travelling alone that staff can be rather awkward or nervous or even offhand with you, but this was certainly not the case at this lovely place. The breakfast was beautifully cooked....the bacon....mmmm!!! Would definitely stay again.

My only tiny quibble was that the fridge in the room made a constant low-level noise/vibration. But I was so tired it didn't prevent me sleeping at all, and the advantage of having a fridge outweighs I think the noise.

Wonderful freshly cooked breakfast to order. Lovely coffee. Unique breakfast room in the mezzanine roof space. The food at the adjoining pub was lovely and had a nice garden area to relax in.Kevin and Jan were lovely hosts and made our stay very special. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay. Friendly,approachable and helpful staff, excellent location for short interesting walks into and around Lyton and Lynnouth. Handy for visiting The Lynton and Barnstaple narrow gauge railway at Woody Bay..
