The best thing about the residence was its location. It was a short walk to the bus, subway station, and tramway. All the famous bazaars, including the Spice Market and the Friday and Wednesday markets, were accessible in under 20 minutes by public transport. Reaching Taksim Square and other popular sightseeing spots was also incredibly easy.

We were disappointed with our stay due to several issues, primarily the lack of communication from Mehmet, the owner. He was unresponsive to our requests, making it difficult to address even basic concerns. For instance, we asked for additional lighting in the living room as it was too dim, but our request was ignored. One day, the water was shut off from 4 PM to 4 AM, affecting all 18 group members. While this was due to a municipal issue in many areas of Istanbul, Mehmet had received prior notice from the authorities but failed to inform us. This lack of communication caused significant inconvenience, leaving us unprepared for the disruption. Additionally, the bathroom on the ground floor lacked a radiator, making it uncomfortably cold during December. The cleanliness of the property was another major concern. The bath towels, especially on the first floor, were filthy, with one even having a large mud stain as if someone had stepped on it. We had to wash all the towels before using them. Additionally, the cooking utensils were extremely old and encrusted with stains, making us unwilling to use them. The living room areas, particularly under the sofas and in hard-to-reach spots, were extremely dirty and littered with debris. Above all, when we entered the kitchen on the first floor, there was an awful, putrid smell—almost like a decomposing body. We couldn’t initially pinpoint the source of the stench. After searching for a while, we finally discovered that the bottom of the fridge was filthy and was the cause of the foul odor. We spent over three hours cleaning, using a generous amount of bleach, to eliminate the disgusting smell. It was horrible. The Wi-Fi was generally decent, but the connection in the ground-floor bathroom was extremely poor. Overall, the entire building and its furnishings need renovation, with everything being replaced by new items.

Am rezervat a 4-a oară locația. Asta deja ar trebui să spună totul. Începând de la locația foarte bună , apartamentul fiind situat în zona Aksaray , cu magazine pentru aprovizionarea zilnică, foarte aproape de stația de tramvai Yusufpașa și de stația de metrou Yenikapî dar și aproape pentru deplasarea pe jos până la Bazar , Piața Sultanahmet( 20-30 min dacă nu zăbovesti la nenumăratele magazine sau tarabe ). Ideal pentru 3 familii , cum am fost noi , situat la parter cu o terasă izolată exclusivistă de cca. 40 m2 ) , cu 3 camere , 2 băi , bucătărie utilată cu aragaz , cuptor cu microunde , frigider , mașină de spălat , tacâmuri și veselă și un hol larg cu televizor, internet și aer condiționat. Foarte curat , paturi confortabile . Proprietarul , domnul Mehmet , un om foarte jovial și discret , receptiv la orice fel de solicitări scrise în turcă pe watsap , prezent doar la momentul check-in-ului , asigurând astfel intimitatea și discreția sejurului. Totul cu un raport preț-calitate excelent. Vom mai reveni cu siguranță ! RECOMAND !

Clean near a lot of places

Really good size apartment. Host was very helpful. Good location.

Property does not have lift so found a little challenge. Little diy required in the kitchen. Bathroom did not have any toilet papers.

Steep stairs , no elevator ( i was in 3rd floor) Few things needs maintainance or fix and the host is not available so i have to wait and he will come on his own time.
