Wir hatten das Zimmer in der oberen Etage gebucht, was die beste Entscheidung war. Man ist oben komplett alleine, hat auf dem Balkon seine Ruhe und einen schönen Blick. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen, aber es sind nur 3 Minutem zu Fuß bis zum Trubel in der Stadt. Leckeres, reichhaltiges Frühstück. Keine Klimaanlage, aber dafür super Ventilator. Und vom Design her ein echter Hingucker mit einem sehr bequemen, großen Bett.
Der Wasserdruck war nicht so stark, für Shampoo aus den Haaren waschen hat es gerade gereicht. Warmes Wasser gab es auch nicht, das war allerdings bei Außentemperaturen von 38 Grad nicht wirklich ein Problem.

Maleesha und ihre Mutter sind sehr freundlich, bereiten leckeres Frühstück zu.
Die Unterkunft liegt zentral und ruhig.
Leider riecht es in dem Zimmer, es ist sehr feucht.

Great location, 2 minute walk to the main part of Ella. Plenty of great cafes and restaurants to choose from. The mosquito net was a bonus as we’ve been bitten a few times on our trip and didn’t get any new bites through the entire 3 night stay. Like all the other reviews, the breakfast was amazing and really makes this place great value and sets you up for the day ahead. We had so much food that we had to ask them to make less for us as we felt awful that it could go to waste.

The room was super clean, the WiFi was working, good nice hot shower. Everything good :) they’ve received us with a very nice welcome tea and snack, the stuff was super nice - very good location, walking distance to the center.

Amazing stay. Sweet host with good recommendations. Big delicious breakfast. We even got two avocados with us for them to ripe :) so cute! Good value for money.

it’s a beautiful place! the whole room smelled like fresh woods and it was very cozy and clean! probably the best room I had in Asia during my whole trip for this money 🤗🤗 The breakfast was amazing, included and huge!

The owners are so so so lovely, they help you where they can, they are amazing! The location is also great and the rooms are very cosy and the beds are very very comfortable. I would definitely recommend other people to stay here as well. I def come back. Thank you so much!

Maleesha and her family couldn’t have been more welcoming if they tried. From the moment I got there they were warm, helped me settle in right away and made sure I had everything I needed. They arranged a tour of Ella and a taxi at short notice, and even packed a breakfast for me to take away when I had to leave early! The room was spacious and really clean, and had a lovely view from the terrace. Thank you so much (and for all of the avocados!)

We stayed at Maleesha for 2 nights only but it was the best guesthouse we stayed in Sri Lanka! Extremely kind and gentle owner, who was always here for us❤️ Breakfasts are just incredible! Never in my life I had anything of this kind! so tasty and full! the location is perfect, few minutes from the main road, but far from the noises. I wish we could have stayed more! but for sure we will come back to Maleesha! thank you so much for your kindness! 🌸

Very quiet and nice place. The hosts are very hospitable. The room is clean, comfortable bed, hot water, beautiful view. Very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Maleesha was a really nice and caring host. The breakfast was amazing and after a 5 minute walk you reached the city center. I really recommend the stay at Maleesha Homestay.
The bathroom wasn’t really clean. They would need to scrub it all and maybe change the toilet seat.

maleesha’s homestay is a beautiful place. the room on the top floor is spacious, beautiful and very clean. very good value for money. the family was super lovely and flexible and the breakfast, especially the home made roti were amazing! we really recommend the place and godly payed a little bit more for the room with a nice balcony. even though you can’t see very far from it, or mostly other houses, it’s very calming and cozy and therefore very close to town :)

Beautiful family, comfy beds, 5 min walk to main street and bus stop and 12 min walk to train station. Lovely breakfast and suuuper clean. They pay attention to every detail: hairdryer, fridge, kettle.. Will be back and highly recommend.

Lodging with a family with the small care for us.
Very good advice throughout the stay. The choice of breakfast every day made our stay very pleasant. Appreciable help for the cab, scooter available on the spot. I highly recommend.

We had an amazing time in Maleesha Homestay. The owner is very lovely and welcoming and the room is nice, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was awesome including everything you can think about for an perfect Sri Lankan breakfast. Also dinner is delicious and a really big portion. It is close to the city centre and you can reach the main attractions easy by food. We totally can recommend Maleesha Homestay!

The breakfast was one of the best in all Sri Lanka. The room is big and clean. The family is very friendly and caring. It is located in a quiet area but still perfect for walking to the bridge or city center.
Like everywhere in Sri Lanka the Wi-Fi is not stable and the bathroom had seen better days. But other than that it is great.

The accommodation is really clean, terrace is spacious and we really felt comfortable. The food is amazing, you definitely have to try dinner! Laundry service is available and your clothes will smell like flowers afterwards. Best value for money and definitely one of our favourite homestays in Sri Lanka. We absolutely had a great time. Oh! The bed linen. It was so wonderful to get into a beautifully made bed, clean, crisp, top standard bedding, which I really appreciate .
Only because I am over 60, I found the entrance a little steep.
