Internet wifi didn't work

The room was very cosy and staff friendly at check-in. Complimentary drinks were also a plus.

Breakfast wasn't mindblowing in terms of food, I also had to wait to be served despite it not being busy and members of staff (3) being available. Had to wait for ages for food to arrive and when returning to the room, my key didn't work anymore - despite it being BEFORE check-out time. Unnecessary.

Best hotel breakfast I’ve had, rooms quirky, well prepared and equipped, excellent shower and comfortable beds, staff friendly and professional.

There is very slight traffic noise and you can hear the trains that pass nearby. My partner is slightly hard of hearing and does not notice it. The hotel have done what they can with noise insulation but it is a listed building. Bring earplugs if this is an issue.

Beautiful and spacious bedroom, great quality of breakfast, easy to access

This property was very luxurious for such a reasonable price. It’s in such a lovely part of London. There’s a lovely market on Sundays just outside. It’s only a short train journey into the city centre. Breakfast was included in the price and it was spectacular. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. 10/10

Excellent breakfast, fab room and agree restaurant, would both recommend and stay again.

The ladies and gent toilets in the pub were both closed with one the disabled toilets open.

The location was ideal, the property was a lovely Grade II listed building, and everyone was very welcoming. We loved the breakfast, a really good range of options and tasted delicious. The decor of the whole place was really quirky and we thought the stay was excellent value for money, you could barely hear the pub downstairs.

Our room (Shepard) was a little bit tired in places, such as the door threshold plate being loose at one end,, and some areas of the room looked like they hadn't been dusted in a long time, e.g. the decorative shutters on the mirror. Nothing that impacted our stay though!

I really liked the location and the layout of the property, staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodating..

Fantastic room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Loved the complimentary touches. Lovely feel and vibe to the whole place. Would definitely stay again.

Little bit out of the way for a West end show.

Lovely welcoming staff. Comfortable room with great decor. Breakfast really tasty and lots of choice.

We stayed in the Armstrong Room for one night (wish it was for more nights) What can i say, the room was amazing, everything we needed, super comfy bed, lovely bath and shower, complimentary drinks in fridge, decor is lovely. Staff were helpful and welcoming, showed us to our room and made sure we was ok throughout our stay. We have Plant based breakfast with real scrambled eggs, it was very nice, fresh and flavoursome. We had a few drinks in bar when we arrived and sat in the lovely courtyard, lovely vibes and staff

That it was only for one night

On arrival staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was absolutely beautiful. Included some complimentary items which was a nice bonus. The location was great, close to the Herne hill station. We didnt have any issues with hearing any of the other guests at the hotel. The breakfast menu had a nice mix of items. Wish i could have stayed an extra night just to fully enjoy the luxury.

Just my personal preference, but i would have liked the option of a continental breakfast selection for those who like to eat light? but the breakfast menu did look lovely and good value for money
