Our stay at Casa Mochila was amazing. Pat was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. We also got cake for my birthday. We would reccomend everyone to stay here. It is very easy to catch the bus to Salento in front of the hostel, just wave to the driver and they will stop for you. The breakfast in the morning is very tasty! If you want to chill here; there are very nice hammocks available. 10/10 points for this place and the service!

La mejor experiencia en casa mochila. Patricia fue la mejor anfitriona.. nos sentimos como en casa. La atención, la comida y y todo en el hotel fue espectacular. Supero nuestras expectativas y definitivamente volveremos a hospedarnos allí.

Las instalaciones en general son muy estilizadas. Tienen un toque moderno, pero clásico. La amabilidad de Patricia, quién estuvo súper pendiente. El desayuno fue delicioso. Se puede pasar un rato agradable en la zona de hamacas.

It was very unique, and peaceful. My stay here was wonderful, if you want to disconnect from society for a bit and surround yourself by nature. This is the place, staff was very attentive, professional, and their customer service was past expectations

Uniquely designed property on the main road to Salento, perfect for the surprise engagement party we arranged with 6 friends. The owner was incredibly helpful and supportive to our plans, and was extremely welcoming to our (well behaved) dog.

Access and parking was a little tricky (but manageable) and you are a short drive to the center of Salento (and any shop and restaurant) where all the action is.

It’s not that far from the center but to walk it is a bit dangerous so we had to keep trying to find taxis ( although the owner is super helpful on this too) .

the host is super friendly and supportive. she always ordered us taxis to get to the town of Salento or gave us tips about the area. the jacuzzi was very nice. the dogs were super nice and friendly.

the house is directly next to the big street which is why it was very loud also sometimes at night. moreover, the room wasn’t cleaned in between the stay.

First of all, if you pay with card you're asked to pay 5% surplus to cover the fee, which this is illegal as the owner should absorb that cost, not the customer (https://bold.co/legal/comercios-pagos.html if you haven't read it, it says your contract can be terminated if "Si cobras o trasladas a los Clientes Compradores la comisión que te cobra Bold por recibir el servicio de aceptación de Medios de Pago."). when brought my disappointment to the receptionist she just smiled meaning "if you want to stay this is the way it is". Second, according to the receptionist you can't come back after 12 at night. This rule is not expressed any where in their profile but she argued it was "owners rule" Room: it's simply laking day light, there's a small window which is not enough to bright well the room. The smell of mold is pretty strong due to a couple of matresses full of dust stored under the bed. Noise from the street is high as rooms are not totally closed. Amenities: Poor, there was just an half bottle of shampoo/soap. not sure what it was. We were given hair towels too small for the body. Breakfast: I read the breakfast was amazing. It was Just ok. Few pieces of fruit, not enough marmelade for 1 slice of bread and some egg. Totally not worthed the price.

Jacuszi and fire place were awesome. Indira was super welcoming,helpful and there for us all the time. When we hadn't any electricity due to a storm, she made everything to make us feel comfortable. Thank you!

The street next to the hotel was super noisy. You even could hear the cars with closed windows. The room wasn't clean. The common space wasn't welcoming. Only at the evening with the jakuszi the vibe got warmer. Maybe some plants would help. The breakfast was the same every day: scrambled eggs,some fruits, two dry slices of toast and some jam. Some variety and a higher quality would change things.

We didn't saty there. The place was nothing like the discretion . No tv, no hot water, no AC ,small room ,cold room,nothing like the pictures

Casa Mochila is an absolute gem. The owners Juan and Caro are incredible friendly and helpful. The property is a few kilometers outside of the town of Salento, but there's a bus that comes every 20mins. We preferred to be a bit more in the nature, so it was a perfect for us. The building is quite new and was designed by Juan himself. It has a jungle treehouse kind of feel. There is a Jacuzzi to use at nighttime, which is perfect to relax after hiking the Cocora Valley. Also there's a fireplace to cosy up next to in the evening. They have 2 beautiful dogs that are very sweet and friendly. There's drinks and food available, but if you want a party hostel vibe, this isn't the place for you. There's places in Salento if you want that. All in all, Casa Mochila was an amazing place to stay and I will be dreaming about it for years to come. Thank you Juan and Caro!!!

The owners, Caro and Juan were amazing. Super friendly and really made us feel welcome. Their pets are lovely and the whole property has a lovely vibe. The hot tub was welcome on sore muscles after hiking in Cocora Valley! Getting into town was easy, we just needed to flag down a bus heading that way - they came past every 20 mins and only once during the week we spent there was the bus too full to stop.

the idea with bathroom and toilet outside the room is a little bit disturbing. it’s probably because Casa mochila looks like it supposed to be a hostel and then it has been changed to private rooms. but still - cold evening and coming back from the shower outside - tiring ;)

Juan and Karo are the best hosts. Friendly, helpful and hospitable. The fireplace is super nice and so is the jacuzzi after a long day of walking in Cocora. Pet hugging is possible, but not mandatory :D.

the hosts were amazing. I loved the fireplace and the hot tub. the nearby waterfalls were also amazing. it was easy to get to Salento with the bus that runs every 20 minutes, and the hosts also gave me the number of a local taxi driver

The property is perfectly located on the outskirts of Salento which means it is quiet while still accessible by walking or bus to town. The architecture of the property is unique and environmentally friendly which makes one feel as one with nature. It was lovely getting to know the property owners while sitting next to the fireplace. Casa Mochila and the hosts make you feel right at home with delicious homemade meals.

Very relaxed place. Ecolodge, hottub, live guitar playing, good drinks, fire place and sooo nice people. Caro and Juan speaks very well English.

Location is bad ... beside to the main road to salento ( noisy ) .. during our 4 days stay there every morning was hard to have transport to salento ( bus were full and didn't stop )
