Die Unterkunft war geräumig, sauber, gut ausgestattet und die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war großartig. Würde es für einen Familienurlaub empfehlen.

Parking was cramped. Great access to all village activities.
Great venue area for large family groups.

Great stay at such a centrally located spot. Rooms big and clean and basement rec room was a blast!

Went with my friends and it had 3 queens and 2 twins so that was a surprise. It also had a sick basement. One downfall was just the upstairs loft/living room did have a weird stale odor and a couple of bugs (but thats lake george).

Worst first time VRBO experience- No communication from property manager - we never received any check-in information prior to our arrival. We emailed and called the "host" on the phone number provided and was sent to voicemail. Once we arrived at the house and needed a code to get in the home. We called the host several times with no answer for hours- we were stranded in Lake George, NY with our family in tow. VRBO was not accommodating whatsoever and kept transferring us to multiple reps that could not understand our language- English. We were forced to stay in a sleezy motel down the street for the night out of pocket. The next day we were contacted by someone helping the property manager with the code to get in. The home had empty beer cans on the front steps, a broken window in the kitchen and smelled of dead animal on the upstairs loft- limited to no parking located on a dangerous, busy road. The second day we were there I received an apology text that they were embarrassed for the lack of communication. Would not recommend - our whole stay suffered financially and dimmed our vacation massively- VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

My family and i stayed at this property for a week. The pictures do not do it justice. There is an amazing basement for young kids and adults that really made the trip so much better. Just a short 7 minutes to the great escape and 2 minutes from the center of lake george. This home was equipped with everything we needed to have a wonderful family get away. Parking is a little tight and very close to the road. Back yard had a grill and a firepit. Wonderful stay.

We rented this cabin in lake George for the eclipse. We confirmed on Thursday to arrive on Sunday. The email confirmation said to contact the host for checkin instructions. After we got on the road Sunday, I messaged the host (through VRBO) that our arrival would be around six. I sent a couple other messages to update our ETA during the day. The hose did not respond to any of them. I also called the phone number provided; it was a business line that was not open on Sundays.
We got there about 6:40. I called the phone again, no answer, left another message.
So I called customer service. The CSR turned this over to a “specialist” who in turn tried to contact the host. She emailed the host (I didn’t have the email address) and proceeded to try to find us another place to stay. But the eclipse, right? There were many minutes on hold. This phone conversation took over an hour.
The specialist sent me an email detailing their policy, so I checked my email. Lo and behold, there was an email from the host with door code that had just been sent. No apology, just an excuse about it being before the season started. But hosts decide when to rent, right?
After we got back from dinner, we learn that there are no sheets on our bed. We sleep between bedspreads and I message the host for sheets for the second night. I also emailed him. No response. No sheets. We did look in the closet.
This could have been a much better experience with a little responsibility on their end.

Upon walking into the property the smell of mildew and staleness was almost overpowering.
The towels all smelled of mildew.
The kitchen is very outdated but had what we needed. Bring all your own condiments if you plan to cook. The coffee pot is way too small.
The cloth couch and cloth recliner had a very pungent smell to them. We couldn’t sit on them for the smell. Furniture is very old and uncomfortable and the recliner is broken.
There was a basement filled with games like pool, darts, corn hole, ping pong (but the balls are mostly dead), a basketball throw game, and several others. But pieces are missing on the pool table. The rack was broken. Pool cues are worn out. Number 5 balls is missing.
Beds were okay. Some were worse than others.
There were no curtains in the downstairs bathroom or in the kitchen.
There was no firewood for the fireplace.
We found cockroaches and spiders everywhere. It wasn’t very clean.
Over all it was underwhelming. I doubt we’d return.

The home was air conditioned, and it was on when we arrived. The home was very clean. Everything we needed, bedding, silverware, bathroom supplies, towels were there. There was a TV, there was a washer and dryer and other things to do, ie. pool table, barbecue. The home was very comfortable, and I would recommend it to anyone coming into Lake George especially if you have a big family since it could sleep 8 people. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

The house was much bigger than expected, which my grandsons loved. Very clean, had everything we needed. So comfy. It rained the whole time, but the basement was complete with pool table, ping pong table, basketball game....we had a blast. The only thing I wasn't expecting was how very close to the road the house was, but that won't stop me from renting again and again 😀

Drove to New York from Connecticut only to be told by the owner at the house we rented is not being rented due to repairs needed. They said they blocked out the calendar for the year but somehow Verbo unblocked it and allowed us to pay for it. The owner told us they would reimburse our money. We have yet to receive it it’s been two weeks

The house is way too close to the road. You don’t see that when u look at the cabin.
It was nice n secluded loved it. The cleaning could be better . Overall I will give it a 8 out of ten. Too close to road

Okay place, no so okay location, poor communication
The property owner did not respond to emails or calls until VRBO contacted him the day of our arrival.
There was no WIFI due to storm damaged which was not repaired during my stay. When we finally got to talk the owner did Take action to resolve the problem, but it wasn’t solved by the time we left.

Spacious Rustic Cabin.
Clean, charming, spacious cabin. Loved the charm of the living room. Rustic and eclectic. A 2 minute drive to the shops, and view of the lake. The only problem I had was the cable and WiFi were out. There was no number to reach the owner, I had to go through the vrbo email. The owner just told me it was working when he was there. There were wires down we noticed, which might have been to the cable and WiFi, but it would have been nice if someone came out to fix it when I asked. I had a 10 year old that made me nuts without tv at night. We still loved the cabin and would stay here again in a heartbeat because of location and space.

We loved the house and the space we had. It was very homey and inviting. It is very close to town and the lake. The only problem is how close it is to the road,

Great vacation but not property
I tried multiple times to reach our host for questions I had and he never responded. The cabin was too close to the main road. My husband had to clean the a/c units. They had never been cleaned. Some of the blankets smelled sour. The kitchen desperately needed cleaning. The only positive about the property was the recreation room down stairs. We did however enjoy our visit and will be back again. We won't be using this property or agency.

Very comfortable, nice location, Parking tricky with 2 cars.
There were 6 of us 3 adults and 3 teenagers and we were very comfortable. Nice vacation spot!

Location was good, just minutes from everything but on the main road. Other than that it was a comfortable stay.

This cabin had plenty of space and was in a nice area. I will definitely be coming back and staying here again!

Great family trip
The house has amazing potencial. Needs some work. But we all enjoyed playing pool and darts I. The basement. I wish my question had been answered when I texted the owner through the app. Also would have been nice to be provided entrance code before my check in time.

It is good to stay shot time.

Good Lake George getaway!
The house was clean, as advertised. We had great time in the backyard with bbQ and fire pit. The basement game room was good. The only issue was that there was some smell of bug spray when we came in. Apart from that it was a great log house.

Wonderful location
Beautiful and very large home. Close to Lake George and Bolton Landing. Very clean and comfortable beds. Only parking for 2 cars and right on the highway but we didn’t have kids with us so it wasn’t a problem. Great upstairs deck to watch the sunset. Lake views from the rooms. Fire pit and BBQ. We had so much fun, we are renting again!

Cabin @Lake George
Our family of 7 spent a week in Lake George to celebrate our 50 th wedding anniversary. We were centrally located to enjoy all of the activities that we participated in doing. Our only problem was unable to locate owner by email for the code to get in the house. I tried for a week before we left and he never contacted me. HomeAway paid for us to have 3 motel rooms the first night and were ready to do it again the second night.

Cabin right near the Town of Lake George
Cabin is located right outside of the Town of Lake George. When booking we were not exactly sure where on Lake George it was located. Very close to the road-very limited parking. Had two cars and had to put one in the garage. Not much to do outside the house, no lake access. Cabin is clean and comfy.

Tall Pine review
The Good:
Only a few minutes into the village, which is perfect!
Close to all the restaurants, shops, ships, water attractions, etc.
Working washer & dryer in the basement was a huge plus.
Fire pit was a plus
Living room area very nice.
The not so good:
Upon arrival noticed the upstairs area which is carpeted, and the back left bedroom had nasty odors. Not sure what it was but very difficult to be in the rooms. No lock on bathroom door. The window AC's in the living room and back right bedroom worked very well to keep the rooms cool, even during warm peak daytime hours. However that back left bedroom AC did not work well at all, which compounded the odor issue mentioned above. We had to leave the bedroom door opened to get the room temp down to where we could tolerate the heat while sleeping.
Notable:
There was a gas grill in the back yard and a table, however there were no chairs to sit down on to dine or just hang out at outside. Not a plus
The home itself is located about 10-15 feet off of Lake shore drive and the parking is very tight and right against the road. The traffic including cars and large trucks runs by between 35-50 MPH and it is potentially dangerous when exiting the vehicle from the street side; do your homework and check Google Maps to understand the layout, especially if you have young children. The upside is with the front door closed and AC on, the traffic is barely noticeable.
Overall I would have to say I was disappointed with this property, as it is very run down and this is apparent once you actually see the property for the first time.(Front storm door is very old and the screen on the upper door is torn from the track across the bottom and right side, allowing flying insects a direct vector in.)Extensive outdoor water damage evident upon first sight driving up to the property also seen in bedroom ceilings, bathroom. Upstairs Outdoor balcony could be awesome, but its water logged and very run down. Also should have proper step instead of 20 inch drop to get to the deck landing from the door entry. (this would NEVER pass code in NJ.) Additionally, when stepping onto and moving about the balcony space, it feels very unstable.
I feel bad writing this as the property owner worked with me on a last minute scheduling change allowing us to rent one week prior to our original schedule. Obviously there were no renters that week, so it was available.
I would not recommend as is, at any price point.(My pictures support review)

Short drive to the Village. Spacious home
Beautiful. Good location. Very clean. Just a few things that kept me from giving this location five stars. From the backyard, you can see Lake George. Unfortunately it's on private property. So you are unable to walk there. We had to drive to the lake. Next, NO outdoor sitting. There's a bbq and table but no chairs at all. So we really couldn't enjoy the backyard as we thought we could. Lastly, the house is right off a major road. High traffic. The front yard is literally Lake George drive. So we were basically left to enjoy the inside of the house. No sitting out back, no front yard. Besides that...I would recommend to friends and family. Clean, cozy, and spacious.

Rustic but spacious and close to lake.
This rustic 3 bedroom cabin was nice and roomy. The 2 downstairs bedrooms were large, one had 2 twin beds and one had a queen, but neither room had blinds on the windows! Talk about waking with the sun! The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were nice. The sitting area on the second floor did not have a window air conditioner so was a little stuffy up there to sleep, but there was plenty of room for an air mattress.
There were plenty of towels and linens. Kitchen had all necessities. (no dishwasher but not a problem). The house sits right up on a busy road, so parking multiple cars is a challenge. There is a garage so we parked one car in the garage and the other out front.
Overall, it was a great place to stay. The small problems are easily fixed and we would rent this house again.

Home away from home
Loved it! Yes will come back again. Every description was accurate. It was absolutely home away from home. The house was clean. Had enough space, enough linen. It was fully stocked. About 5 minutes away from town. Every person I spoke to over the phone including the owner, regarding the place prior to renting , were very courteous and friendly and very informative
I have already informed my numerous friends about it.
