Die Unterkunft war geräumig, sauber, gut ausgestattet und die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war großartig. Würde es für einen Familienurlaub empfehlen.

Parking was cramped. Great access to all village activities. Great venue area for large family groups.

Went with my friends and it had 3 queens and 2 twins so that was a surprise. It also had a sick basement. One downfall was just the upstairs loft/living room did have a weird stale odor and a couple of bugs (but thats lake george).

Worst first time VRBO experience- No communication from property manager - we never received any check-in information prior to our arrival. We emailed and called the "host" on the phone number provided and was sent to voicemail. Once we arrived at the house and needed a code to get in the home. We called the host several times with no answer for hours- we were stranded in Lake George, NY with our family in tow. VRBO was not accommodating whatsoever and kept transferring us to multiple reps that could not understand our language- English. We were forced to stay in a sleezy motel down the street for the night out of pocket. The next day we were contacted by someone helping the property manager with the code to get in. The home had empty beer cans on the front steps, a broken window in the kitchen and smelled of dead animal on the upstairs loft- limited to no parking located on a dangerous, busy road. The second day we were there I received an apology text that they were embarrassed for the lack of communication. Would not recommend - our whole stay suffered financially and dimmed our vacation massively- VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

My family and i stayed at this property for a week. The pictures do not do it justice. There is an amazing basement for young kids and adults that really made the trip so much better. Just a short 7 minutes to the great escape and 2 minutes from the center of lake george. This home was equipped with everything we needed to have a wonderful family get away. Parking is a little tight and very close to the road. Back yard had a grill and a firepit. Wonderful stay.

We rented this cabin in lake George for the eclipse. We confirmed on Thursday to arrive on Sunday. The email confirmation said to contact the host for checkin instructions. After we got on the road Sunday, I messaged the host (through VRBO) that our arrival would be around six. I sent a couple other messages to update our ETA during the day. The hose did not respond to any of them. I also called the phone number provided; it was a business line that was not open on Sundays. We got there about 6:40. I called the phone again, no answer, left another message. So I called customer service. The CSR turned this over to a “specialist” who in turn tried to contact the host. She emailed the host (I didn’t have the email address) and proceeded to try to find us another place to stay. But the eclipse, right? There were many minutes on hold. This phone conversation took over an hour. The specialist sent me an email detailing their policy, so I checked my email. Lo and behold, there was an email from the host with door code that had just been sent. No apology, just an excuse about it being before the season started. But hosts decide when to rent, right? After we got back from dinner, we learn that there are no sheets on our bed. We sleep between bedspreads and I message the host for sheets for the second night. I also emailed him. No response. No sheets. We did look in the closet. This could have been a much better experience with a little responsibility on their end.

Upon walking into the property the smell of mildew and staleness was almost overpowering. The towels all smelled of mildew. The kitchen is very outdated but had what we needed. Bring all your own condiments if you plan to cook. The coffee pot is way too small. The cloth couch and cloth recliner had a very pungent smell to them. We couldn’t sit on them for the smell. Furniture is very old and uncomfortable and the recliner is broken. There was a basement filled with games like pool, darts, corn hole, ping pong (but the balls are mostly dead), a basketball throw game, and several others. But pieces are missing on the pool table. The rack was broken. Pool cues are worn out. Number 5 balls is missing. Beds were okay. Some were worse than others. There were no curtains in the downstairs bathroom or in the kitchen. There was no firewood for the fireplace. We found cockroaches and spiders everywhere. It wasn’t very clean. Over all it was underwhelming. I doubt we’d return.
