Advertisement was spot on. Property was beautiful and description was as advertised. Close to town with only 1 hill walking back. great balcony overlooking lake. Had BBQ and heater on balcony. Very well appointed with comfy lounge and large bedrooms. Check in process was a little confusing with dummy key box on entry. We were not aware of electronic code on door. Took us a while figure it out in the dark. But once we did everything was perfect. Just a rooky error by us. Otherwise stay and property was great. Comms with the property host/manager was good. Would recommend and definitely stay again. Thanks Dawn

Edgar Rise was perfect for our travelling group. The accommodation is cosy, well equipped, clean and spacious. Its proximity to town is handy and the views are excellent. We could not have asked for any more from the place.
In addition, Dawn was a wonderful host with excellent communication and she did everything she could to make us feel welcome and comfortable, including allowing us to check out late as we had later flights.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling to Queenstown and will keep it in mind for future travels to this beautiful part of the world.

When we walked in the front door we were instantly impressed with the accommodation. It was very comfortable, spacious, clean and new and in a great location with an awesome view. Going in May, the weather was cold but the inside gas fire made it feel very warm and cosy. The hosts too, were great with communication and easily contactable. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

There were five of us staying at the house. It was lovely. The house was spacious. The furnishings were very nice. The kitchen was well appointed. The bathrooms were large and roomy with heated floors. There was a large soaking tub in the main bath. The beds were comfortable. The view from the main bedroom and outside deck was spectacular. We spent time on the deck enjoying the weather and view from the outdoor dining table and furniture. We enjoyed our time here. You won’t regret staying here!

We loved this apartment. It had everything you could possibly need and a fantastic master bedroom and ensuite. We made great use of the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view.
It was very conveniently located and within walking distance of everything. We didn’t even mind the walk back up the hill. It helped us work off all the cream doughnuts we’d been eating at Ferg Bakery!

We have stayed at multiple VRBO‘s all over the world… And this has been far been our best selection. Don, the property manager is incredibly proactive in communicating and the location/property exceeded our expectations! It’s incredibly clean, new carpet, insanely nice bathrooms w/ heated floors and a patio w/ a view we could retire with! We stayed w/ two young adults, but could see coming back w/ another couple or two! The walk to the center of town is easy and Ubers readily available for the climb back up the hill if you are not up for it!

Our family of 5 adults stayed for a week over the Christmas holiday. This modern 3 bedroom unit was perfect with gorgeous views from the expansive deck. We watched the sunset every night and the paragliders and Skyline gondolas during the day. Two of the bedrooms and the living room have sliders onto the deck.
The well stocked kitchen is modern with new Fisher & Paykel appliances. We used it on Christmas day to make a full meal as most restaurants were closed. Lots of pots, pans, baking dishes, serving platters and utensils for cooking. Nice espresso machine for the mornings.
Wonderful, modern bathrooms had heated towel bars and heated floors. Large showers in both and a big tub in the primary bath. Laundry was in the unit with powder provided.
Super easy check in with a keypad on the front door. We received clear check-in instructions prior to arrival. We had some questions about the oven and Tyler responded immediately.
The unit heats up in the late afternoon due to all the glass for the views. In the summer, make sure you draw the curtains when leaving the unit and it will be much cooler upon return.
It's a 10 minute hike down to town and quite a climb to get back. We found it convenient for everyone to come and go as they pleased, but be prepared for the hike up at the end of the day. It's worth it for the views!

The property was amazing and I would stay there again. Unfortunately (I think this must have been a once of - comparing to other reviews), we did not have the access codes to get into our property (we were told this would be sent to us via the manager and prior to checkin in and it was not) and needed to contact 'Short Stays' who we booked with. Unfortunately this needed to be escalated through short stays to who found an email with the access codes and contact details of manager (this was as we nervously waited at the address to see if we could access out accom).
Overall - not a great experience from checkin process, however, the apartment was awesome and I would recommend. Great views and not far from town. Just a steep walk or $6 uber. I would stay here again for sure.

Really enjoyed our stay at Edgar Rise. The apartment is spacious and modern, with everything you would need for a short or long stay. Dawn was responsive and easy to communicate with.
The views are fantastic and it’s quite easy to get into town. Would definitely recommend this home to other travellers visiting beautiful Queenstown.
