This is my 2nd time to Girona and my 2nd stay at Marty's and it was the best. It's nice to go back to some familiarity. I always enjoyed the daily walks to town. I like his location both for sleep and cycling, the apt is always so pleasant, the other residents in the building are super friendly as well, no complaints. Marty is always available to contact and responds quickly if needed. As I said last,'ll be back! Thanks Marty!

My wife and I spent 9 nights at Can Bici, riding everyday and enjoying Girona! This is a great spot for a DIY trip. We were able to cook most of our meals at the apartment, but it was easy to go out when we wanted. Great spot, and Marty was very helpful.

Easy check in, exactly as explained, building is a little drab, but overlooks the city towards the station and the hillside toward old town. The apartment is clean, well-equipped and suited the purpose (not in Girona to stay in apt). Host was immediately responsive. 30 minute walk from center of historic neighborhood.

We had a pleasant stay at the apartment. Communication was very good and the check in was easy as well. Everything we needed was available and the apartment clean. The only downside that I can think off is that it is sometimes hard to find a parking spot, but actually that was true for all the apartments we had in the region.

We booked last minute (the day before) and it was perfect for our family. The owner replied very quikly and everything was ready for us.

The apartment is roomy and would be good for 2 couples or a family. It was very clean. I appreciated the pantry items left from other guests and the extras in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi is good. However the apartment is off the beaten path so you definitely need your walking shoes on! With all the sightseeing, the added walk back to the apartment is tiring. I did find the #6 bus which stops close to the apartment easy to take and helped cut down on some of the walking. The apartment and the building are old. The lift works which is good because the apartment is on the 7th floor. Be aware there is a set of stairs you go up to get to the lift so you must carry your suitcases up these stairs. The bathroom could do with some modernizing, especially the shower. And the door of the washing machine is broken and was difficult to use. It should be replaced. Overall, it was a pleasant enough stay for 3 nights in a quiet but older neighborhood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming Girona apartment. It is comfortable, well stocked and truly felt as if we were guests in someone’s home. Our host, Marty, was both helpful and communicative. Highly recommend.

Marty's apartment has everything you need for a short stay. While not the absolute most modern apartment, it is clean and he has went out of his way to make sure everything you might need is present. If you are staying because of a cycling trip, he even had a track pump and a load of useful tools to use. The clothes washer and dryer are also very useful. The kitchen is fully kitted out with cooker, fridge, dishwasher and cutlery. It even has a coffee machine. The only real downside is it's on the 7th floor so it would be a bit of a chore if the lift was out of service. Thankfully that didn't happen. The apartment location is also pretty good being only a short walk into the old town area and also the more modern part of the city. Even with this, it is quiet at night and we didn't have any issues sleeping. Marty himself Is always ready to answer any questions so I can't really say anything bad to be honest.

had a great stay in Girona and doing day trips from here by public transport as it's only a 15 minute walk from the train/bus station & has a bus stop for service into old town outside the door, nice view out of 7th floor windows of greenery on hill beside apartment so feels like you're out of the city, very handy for family with 2 small kids who could have room each, they loved the swing in the bedroom, host was very responsive to queries, not a luxury apartment but has everything you need and good value

Perfect for what we needed as a base while we played some of the golf courses in the area. Marty was very helpful throughout. Short walk into the city centre and parking close to the building so very convenient.

There is no better value in Girona. Marty was very accessible when we went to enter apartment & my Wi-Fi wasn’t working (suggest you download instructions before arriving) the nearby market is very nice. Not that you want to do much cooking; historic Girona is an easy bike ride or walk. The restaurants are amazing; thank you Marty for recommending La Vedette creperie, it was outstanding. We also enjoyed Octopus.

Great location, great apt!
I really enjoyed staying at Can Bici, there’s a lot nearby and not far from downtown Girona. I went on cycling holiday and it was just perfect for me, great cycling routes right out the front door. Amenities are fantastic being fully furnished. Supermarket just up the road and can do cooking at the apt. Or walk to town. Nearby cafés as well. Will definitely stay there again, perhaps every year :)

Only a short walk to the old town and a great infrastructure for cycling. The apartment is beautiful, I have really enjoyed my vacation there.

Wonderful family accommodation
We stayed here as a family of 4 with two small children in August for two nights. Communication and check in was easy with comprehensive directions and guide from Marty. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The apartment is large and light and the beds were comfy! The kitchen had everything you needed to cater for small fussy kids including an oven! Which we had lacked at other accommodation during our Catalonian adventure, so this was great.
The location is great for exploring the city, and about 10/15 minute walk from the beginning of the city walls which we walked along various times!
We absolutely loved Girona and would recommend it for anyone wanting a beautiful old city to explore and we’d love to come back and stay at Marty’s again!

Very well resourced appartment
The perfect start to our holiday in Spain. We flew to Girona and it was a simple bus journey to the town where we easily located the appartment via Google maps. Check in was very convenient and fast.
It is just out of the main town which was perfect for us as it was very quiet to sleep in during day or night. A supermarket was very nearby which was great but we ate out a few times as there was such choice in the incredibly scenic Girona.
When we had a query Marty got back immediately and the appartment was brilliantly resourced- although I didn't realise until we left when I was checking for kids toys list in random places. We enjoyed a morning coffee each day and would have used the juicer had we seen it but everything you could possibly need was there. Even down to the information books and maps about the area and the choice of book fiction which was great as we eased ourselves into holiday mode
Plus an added bonus is being able to say we stayed in a professional cyclist's appartment in Girona. I'm going to be dropping that into conversations for a while.

Very quiet and roomy apartment
The apartment is on the top floor of an older apartment building. It faces away from the street and is very quiet at night. It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the 'Barri Vell', the medieval part of the city. At the time we stayed, there was no internet access. Marty is aware of this and has promised to install an access point shortly. The water heater was 'finicky' by a quick call and Marty 'coached' me through to solve the problem. Marty is aware of this problem and has promised to fix it ASAP.

Bien equipado. Mal localizacion, caldera y wifi
El interior del apartamento estaba bien equipado, todo lo necesario para estar adecuadamente. Tuvimos un problema con la caldera afectando el primer día. Además no tuvimos internet durante los dos días.
Es importante remarcar que la definición de apartamento en el corazón de Girona tiende a confundir. Está a las afueras, teniendo que andar 25 min para ir a la catedral por ejemplo.

Modern, surprisingly spacious apartment, only a short walk from Girona centre
The apartment is a short- fifteen minute walk- from the old town. It has everything you need for a city break. The kitchen facilities are excellent, and the couch in the living area is really comfortable. The bedrooms are modern and clean and quite spacious. All the windows have wind down shutters which keep the flat really cool. There are two air con units in the building which were really useful during the recent heat wave! Girona,for the unacquainted, is a really laid- back cosmopolitan Catalan town. There are hundreds of bars and restaurants in the town and plenty of museums and cultural highlights. The Costa Brava is only an half hour drive away and the French border about an hour. Girona is a Mecca for cyclists and there are some great rides from the backdoor. The famous Els Angles is about 2 km away and Rocacorba is a little further. Although the flat is on the seventh floor, I had no problem squeezing my road bike in with me. Marty was extremely helpful with advice and answered my texts quickly. Moreover, the price of the apartment was very reasonable!

Very clean apartment. Close to central Gerona and the shopping. Walked with the kids who were 8 and 10 and they managed fine. Marty was very responsive and helpful! Enjoyed our stay! We rented a bike from Marty as well and it was waiting in the apartment for us and we left it in the apartment. Super convenient!

Excellent value.
We were two on a two week cycling trip. Marty's apartment was perfect for us. Spacious with modern equipment and furnishings, the apartment had a third bedroom/utility room which we used to park our bikes. It is located conveniently within walking distance of the old quarter, has a supermarket nearby, and is on a road that allows a quick southern exit by bike from the City. Reasonably priced, it was excellent value. We would definitely go back.

Location, Location, Location!!!
Anything a traveler could possibly need is within walking distance of "Can Bici". The apartment is clean, comfortable and quiet, located on the top floor of a 7th story building, which affords both city and rural views. Jill, (the owner) is a very nice and accommodating person and made our month vacation even better. This is a very important consideration when choosing a vacation rental away from home. Girona is a very clean and picturesque city with lots of friendly and helpful people. We hope our future vacation plans will allow us to return to "Can Bici". Can Bici - Great Stay in Girona
Can Bici was perfect for our stay. Clean, comfortable, nicely furnished and well located in walking distance to Girona Old Town, train station, etc. We were always able to find on street parking within close walking distance.
Could not ask for anyone nicer to work with than Jill (the Owner) who also gave us great tips on what to see and where to go.
As a cyclist, Can Bici was incredibly well located and I took fabulous rides every day.
Girona is a fabulous city with a wonderful combination of old and new. Close to the coast and a short train ride to Barcelona.
Can't wait to go back.

Great appartment in central GIrona
Can bici is just perfect. Spacious appartment in central location - everything works, everything clean, well equipped kitchen, plumbing is great, TV and stacks of videos to keep our 14 yr old entertained, views onto rugged mountain side yet you are just 10 mins walk from all the bars/restaurants in the centre. Plenty of on street parking. If you are looking to explore this great city I couldnt recommend this appartment more highly.

A good place to stay!
Can Bici is a really nice place to stay. You find your way easily to Girona center, Barcelona, the mountains and the coast. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and everything you need is available for a nice stay. The contact with Jill, the owner, was very good. She was even checking if everything was allright during the week. And Girona is a nice town to visit!

Great find in Girona
The apartment was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. The market is a very short walk away. The city is so nice to explore and is a fantastic base for day trips through out Costa Brava. Jill was so great to communicate with before, during, and after our stay. Great maps and guidebooks were available to borrow. So glad we found Can Bici!!
