Lovely room,

6ft 5 couldn't fit in the bath. Couldn't get a hot shower in room 5

Raniven is conveniently located close to pubs, shops, the train station and the ferry terminal. Our room (#6) was very cozy and our surroundings quiet - even though there was a storm at the time! the TV in our room even had Netflix for when we needed some downtime. It even had a cupboard for storage. The coffee machine and kettle were a blessing and Liam, the host, was just an email away! thank you! we’ll definitely be back.

Their was plenty room, good living area, comfy bed and good location.

room 8 was on the small side nothing to hang close on, had to live out of a case.

Room was very pleasant and clean.

No one informed me that check in would be “on our own “ without an on site host. I was not informed that I should be sure to check my email the day of arrival to receive instructions on the check in procedure. Only because another guest leaving the guesthouse were we able to get the needed check in information. Not, in my opinion, a welcoming way to greet a guest!

Nice room

Room was cold. Thermostat was not controlled from the room. Get this fixed and you get top Mark's.

Perfect location, modern, clean, comfortable. Communication was great and the check in and check out processes were smooth. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

This is an excellent location with off street parking available. Dont worry about breakfast because it is close to anything you’d want. When you don’t feel like staying in town you are close enough to drive up to Glen Coe or Fort Williams. Will stay here again when back in Oban.

No fault of the property but parking can be tight if someone doesn’t pay attention to how they pull in. Nothing that caused any problem unless you are a nervous driver.

Modern , clean and comfortable. very handy for town. easy access with key store. Good tea and coffee facilities.

shower was just warm enough, drain smell at times

The location was excellent being just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. The accommodation was immaculately clean and well appointed, and you couldn't complain about the price.

There were 8 apartments and only 5 parking spaces. The on street parking was restricted to certain hours so you couldn't really use that, we therefore had to park on Croft Avenue a couple of minutes walk further away from town when we couldn't get in at apartments. The mattress on the bed didn't suit my wife as it gave her a bad back for the most of each morning, and the duck feather pillows could probably do with a refresh.

no mirror or shelf in the bathroom (but a mirror was in the sleeping room), small bathroom

Location was good and room was very clean. I was also very thankful for the parking!

The room was smaller than I'd expected and it was very hard to figure out the locking door (it would be nice if they posted instructions about lifting the handle up so that everyone would lock the door). We don't have those kind of doors in the USA and I only knew to lift the handle from another property I'd been at where they'd posted instructions in the door. I often found that the door was left unlocked which is a safety concern.

Raniven guest house was flawless it was spotlessly clean and the room was large enough for our needs

parking could be an issue, we had no problem but the proprietor could look into maybe permits for on street parking for the 3 parking parking 8 rooms and only 5apacea not good. me on website that street parking is metered therefore permits for guests would be most welcome

TV reception was poor but if that's all you can say negatively about the room well it's not much is it

The location, the cleanliness and the size of the bed and bath.

No breakfast but we knew that when we booked so not really an issue. Be careful to check your emails as I didn’t and waited to be checked in 😂

Easy self check in instructions. Gemreat room and EnSuite.

The apartment was spotless and gaining access was straightforward even though we didn't meet the owners/managers. The instructions were clear and the location was great. The shower was great with plenty of hot water.

The sink in the bathroom was too small and you couldn't really wash your face in it.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean.

Everything, our little apartment was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and perfect location. Couldn't of been more perfect. We lived every moment!! Defo recommend and will stay again if we go to scotland! 10 out of 10

There was nothing to not like

The cleanliness was excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful. I was visiting with my daughter who lives in Chicago and we both enjoyed our 2 night stay I will definitely return to Ranvin House. Thank you
