So beautiful, lovely room, SO comfortable, didn’t want to leave.

Really nice and comfortable room. Stayed in the Josephine room, a beamed room in the older part of the building above the pub.
No shower in the room. Breakfast service at the Ostler was very slow, taking over an hour to get our breakfast. We had missing items, no cutlery and the wrong food order. Not good.

The rooms were super cosy! The rooms were so cute and the restaurant was outstanding!
We loved how cute the area was!
We travelled for a family wedding from Glasgow and we were well looked after for our 2 nights.

Dinner was fantastic, however the price of the menu was too high for a work expense. I think it would be a good idea to expand on the bar menu? Maybe this may have been my ignorance and poor planning when rocking up.

Staff were really helpful and the staff in the restaurant were super accommodating. The room (the stables) was incredible, really beautiful and super clean. Amazing you can park right outside the room too. Room cleaning great too. Lovely location with fields and walks nearby.
Sofa beds were a little uncomfortable, but absolutely fine. Service slow at breakfast. But picking at details really. Overall a very good stay ☺️

Able to check in a little earlier. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Great beer in the pub and good range of breakfast choices in Ostlers. We will certainly come back.

Very traditional and historical property well presented. Parking good. Great food. Our room was very spacious.
I would have preferred a softer mattress on the bed or perhaps a mattress topper would be a great option. A lower vanity mirror would be better as I found this too high to be able to style my hair sat down. I have mobility issues and I know they have other rooms which could suit me better however as the hotel is very popular there wasn’t one available.

Room 4 is right above the kitchen. 6am, the fans start . Extremely noisy pots and pans banging into a metal sink.

Stayed for one night at The Stable. Very quick check-in, friendly staff, absolutely beautiful room/suite, very well stocked with enough tea/coffee/milk etc. Gorgeous shower, hot and powerful, quiet location, absolutely could not fault it.

It's really, REALLY lovely, but I did struggle with justifying £160+ for one night.

Breakfast was lovely. Quality products used.
We unfortunately drew the short straw and had the room over the kitchen which was very noisy from half 6 but that wouldn’t deter us from staying there again.

excellent stay with the most stunning of rooms, lovely and warm, very comfy bed and sofa.....would definitely recommend the Anne Boleyn Suite

The restaurant food is great in the bar
A friend stayed here previously and recommended the place. However, he must have booked the suite as the room we stayed in was tiny.
Also the toilet directly faces the bathroom door which is opposite the end of the bed and the door is semi transparent. Not the best of designs.
