受付のスタッフ(オーナー)がオックスフォードの地図をくれて詳しく街の説明をしてくれました。 住宅街ですが、昼間交通量が多い道に面しているので、車の音がうるさいです。但し、帰宅時刻が過ぎる21時以降は気になりませんでした。

案内では「タオル備え付け」と書いてありましたが、部屋にありませんでした。受付でリクエストすると「タオルは持っていないのか？」と聞かれました。「あるけれど大きいもの(バスタオル)はない」と伝えると、すぐに部屋に持ってきてくれました。 リクエストで持って来るシステムなのか、ただの置き忘れだったのか定かではありませんが、なければ言うともってきてくれます。

The location was good and it was easy to walk into town.

The place was advertised as providing breakfast and none was available. There was also no iron in the room.

room was clean and airy. tea kettle came in quite handy. liked the small feel of the lodge. very comfortable.

wish breakfast was back as an option. had to go out to eat. my room was near the street and with the windows open the noise was more than i expected. overall a good stay, though, and i would stay again.

Room was basic but looked like it had been recently refurbished and had all mod cons and enough hanging space.

There was no breakfast despite the description at booking.com I didn't mind going without it but I didn't like being misled by the description. When I pointed it out to the receptionist, I got the following responses: "What's booking.com?" "We haven't done breakfast for two years." "If you checked your confirmation e-mail you would have known."

John met me and showed me to my room even though I arrived very late.

Nice and clean single room. Very kind recepcionist.

Room was quiet and clean with nice view of backyard sitting area.
