Was a little worried about shared facilities, but this guesthouse is well thought out. More than enough showers and toilets. Decorated to a high standard. A little gem 💎 . In a great location, quiet neighbourhood.

the building needs more fresh air

Great location with adequate shared bathrooms and a small but functional shared kitchen. Where is this from parking in the area is on the streets but was no problem. Everyone spoke English and was friendly and helpful.

Older people should be told that the upstairs rooms are accessed via relatively narrow curving stairs. . No problem unless you're trying to carry large luggage up them or have mobility issues, in which case ask for a lower level room. Matress needed to be replaced on one bed.

The location is great. Quiet neighbourhood, clean and comfortable room, and the ability to store our bags for a short time after checkout was very helpful.

Building was beautiful in an excellent location. Rooms were nice and tidy, and the sink was a definite plus in the room. We especially were grateful about the storage ability after check out! We enjoyed our stay and loved conversing with other guests.

Staff was nowhere to be found when we had problems. We had our food stolen from us and only after this the establishment told us the policy about storing food. It was particularly annoying because food is expensive in Iceland and we didn’t expect such behavior for a 500€ stay. Maybe it would’ve been ok if it was like 7€ per night… This situation would’ve been avoided with sufficient instructions and/or numbered boxes for room temp food stuff as well. Bathroom floors were not up to bar so maybe more cleaning specifically there or complimentary slippers in rooms.

City center just around corner. Parking just next street was free and without any problem find spot.

nice room with bathroom sink, table and chairs, coffee and tea. several new bathrooms are available on every floor. the Location if the Guesthouse is absolutly Perfect: just a 5min Walk to the City Center - also the old harbour is just a 2min Drive away

Kirchen is pretty small - but well equiped there is no common room - but you have a table in your private room

Great place to stay, very well located, the house had everything that we needed, in the room there was basic stuff like coffee, tea, water and what we needed to make them, so it was really great, and also a sink for the basic, the kitchen was very well organize and we were able to cook some basic food for our daily trips. Toilets always clean, room clean. The bed was super comfy, we really enjoyed our stay, everything went super smoothly.

The room was tiny can’t even walk in it, in the pictures don’t look like that, I wanted to make tea but the kettle that was in my room had Old food like pasta and meat inside from the last people who stayed and the smell was bad!! so that means they didn’t check the room before the next people will arrive, the kitchen is tiny as well and smells bad because the bin was full of old food, the bathroom was not very clean, you can hear the noise from the other rooms, sharing the bathroom was not great because while I took a quick shower people knock the door at least 3 times, it was very difficult to turn on the heather and the room wasn’t warm enough, I definitely would never go back there, I spend a night in other places and it was lovely compared to this one, it’s expensive, tiny, bad maintenance and dirty. I still can’t believe the surprise of opening the kettle and getting the bad smell of old food and finding pasta and meat inside, and the next day the kettle was gone so means someone got inside my room to take it out (probably because the bad smell in it ), but they didn’t bring it back and they didn’t clean the room or anything, so I didn’t like that someone was in my room when I was gone.

I liked that the hosts/owner of the property emailed you all relevant information prior to visit. I also like how close the property was to everything. The beds were comfy and the properly was warm. The hosts were easy to contact if needed.

The beds sheets had food stains on them. The drains in the bathroom had an eggy scent and the shower Mat felt dirty. The toilet also wasn’t clean.

staff not info us about the door code, we called them first so they sent it. send only 1 room, we booked 2 rooms. we stayed with our son n daughter (we informed them early), they gave us different floor. chat on booking.com not read, not clean at WC. good from this place is only near from city, not recommended place.

Great location taking only a 10mins walk to central Reykjavik.
