I had a lovely clean room at the very top of the building, overlooking the street at the front and a museum opposite. The building itself is gorgeous with a grand staircase leading up from the hall. The man on Reception was so friendly and helpful and recommended a lovely area for restaurants in the evening. Great to be so close to the centre of town.

There was no electrical socket next to the bed and the one next to the window would not accommodate my UK adapter, so I had to charge my phone in the bathroom!

Very convenient location, close to Old Port and Old Town. Many restaurants and cafes nearby.

The location was ideal. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The rooms are dated. Hard to carry luggage up to the top floor rooms as staircases are narrow and wonky.

Really conveniently located hotel, right near the brilliant market and a short walk to the centre. Excellent and friendly staff. Everything was as expected.

Would have killed for a mini fridge on the hot days, but not the end of the world.

The staff and location

The location is excellent. Secure paid parking 2-3 minutes.

I booked a large room with two double beds. Booking was confirmed. When we arrived the room was already occupied and not available. We were given a small double room that was made into a twin by separating the double into two. I didn't get what I had booked.

Great location beside Place Verdun for buses and taxis and very close to the market. The historic port also in walking distance. Rooms had shutters which blocked the light well. Also very quiet at night.

Rooms, a double and a single were very small. Double room had small bedside stand which got in the way of opening the wardrobe. Little table and 2 chairs at window. Room had musty/dusty smell.. Might be better to get rid of the carpet.

Breakfast very good. Room lovely. Staff very helpful and good.

Our room was three flights up with no lift. We had a dog who did not like coming down the steep stairs.
