It was annoying that check in was only available at 4pm especially after a long morning of travelling. It’s about a 20-25 minute walk to the city centre. Another small fault was that my balcony was the only balcony without a chair and table, which would have been nice to have in the evening.

The hotel is on the waters edge and there is a fabulous walk to the centre of La Rochelle - perfect if you have a dog. We had a balcony over looking the carpark which was quiet but you can also have a seaview room which would be amazing.

Unique waterside location in La Rochelle. Very dog friendly. Good breakfast available, underground parking, both at additional cost. Nice 15/20 minute walk into La Rochelle restaurant area.

Didn't like the distance to other. It was isolated from anywhere, also there was no restaurant in the hotel. As well as this the shower in our room was broken

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. Location is great about 30 mins walk into main area of La Rochelle and was great for a day trip to Ile de Re. Rooms were good with comfy bed and nice bathroom. We had a family room for 2 of us as it was all that was left so extra space was nice. We just had courtyard view room as was more expensive for sea view and we were happy - sea view would have been lovely though. Good parking over and under ground (we had a van over 2 metres so got a good space over ground) - you have to pay extra for this €12 per day. Good breakfast selection (also have to pay extra). There was an iron man race on our check out day which meant the road was closed so we had to move our car the night before - the hotel didn’t charge us for that days parking which was good of them. Would recommend!

No air con in the rooms and it was very hot and humid when we were there. But for 3 nights we didn’t mind too much.

Superior hotel in one of the best locations in La Rochelle. Easy access to Ile de Ré.

Walk back through dimly lit park area from the town after 8pm

Waterfront setting and a beautiful walk into the old town through a park, making it perfect for travelling with our pet dog. The rooms were clean and comfy, the staff were friendly and helpful. A very good breakfast.

Convenient, clean, quiet, with the beautiful terrace on the water-front. The sea-view room was absolutely gorgeous. Nice and friendly staff. I forgot a personal item in the hotel, but the staff promised to send it by post-mail as soon as possible, so I am waiting to get it back :). No problem with the parking places during our stay in May.

The hotel was lovely & had a great view. We travelled with a dog and the hotel were happy to accommodate. Lovely walk through the park into La Rochelle.

On the booking request we asked for parking & a dog friendly hotel. This was accommodated for at the hotel but there was an extra booking cost for both 30 euros.

The location and the calm was perfect. The sea view room with balcony and additional access to the terrace was wonderful to have. A great spot with no traffic between you and the sea.

We stayed just one night so it was fine for us but if staying longer the hanging space was limited and was limited further by the kettle, fridge etc located under the hanging space. The blurb is also misleading saying that parking is included when actually you have to pay additional €12

Other reviews have said the photos don’t do this hotel justice, and I completely agree. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has lovely warm decor. The breakfast area is perfectly nice for what it does. The views are gorgeous, we will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely sea view room with a balcony and large comfortable bed, small fridge and safe. It has a fresh modern feel with a nice terrace and breakfast room. We had a good bathroom with large shower. There is underground parking. It is in a quiet pleasant location with a 30 minute walk through the park and along the sea to the old port. Lovely helpful receptionist. We recommend the brassiere the Corniche, very close by to the hotel.

My husband didn’t like the toilet being separate next to the bathroom but it didn’t bother me.

The room was attractive with a lovely view

The attitude of the staff was awful, unfriendly, unhelpful, untrusting and downright rude with absolutely no comprehension of customer service and what it means. As an example there is a strange system for the paid parking where they insist you use the same spot although visitors and others park wherever something is available. So we returned one night to find someone in our spot so parked in the next available spot. Later that night we receive a very rude call from the manager demanding we move the car to the one they gave us. I ended up hanging up on him. For many reasons, including personal health issues, we refused to comply and thereafter we felt very uncomfortable in the hotel like we were being watched. Originally we had complained that the water in the shower was not hot enough. so then they made it too hot but we did not complain again. There are too may examples of poor service and attitude to mention here but suffice it to say in this establishment from the manager to the cleaning staff for us the customer is never put first and never right.
