The hosts were kind and welcoming. The room was well-furnished with a comfy bed, table, 2 chairs, work surface and tea and coffee making facilities which included a coffee machine similar to a Nespresso. The ensuite was similarly well equipped, and the shower was excellent - hot and powerful. All the furnishings present were in good order, and everything was very clean. The room was warm, with central heating, and an opening window to allow ventilation. Breakfast was "takeaway" style delivered in a bag to my door at the requested time, and included enough for a good start to the day. All the breakfast food was fresh and of good quality. The room price included access to Netflix which was a nice touch; however some "numpty instructions" how to connect to it would have been helpful - I didn't manage to log in, and was already in bed so didn't want to get up and dressed to go and ask! The ensuite toilet is equipped with a macerator (unavoidable) which makes a "shushing" sound periodically and took a little getting used to. It did not disturb me unduly.

There was very little to criticise. The room lacked homely touches, but those are really not essential to a comfortable stay.

Lynsey and David are such friendly hosts and so helpful. Room was very clean. It is a great option near the university.

This review was written before bed and updated on the way home :) I am currently staying in a room (the annexe) at the b&b and I have to say I am so very happy with everything this place has to offer! The owners have been so helpful answering my many questions before I arrived and greating us upon arrival. The room is well stocked with comfy beds and the entire place is spotlessly clean, the bathroom sparkles as does the little kitchen which even has a fridge in the cupboard, there's an Nespresso machine with loads of milk sachets and pods and they even came over with a little extra milk when I asked because my son wanted a drink. I have always wanted a Nespresso and now I have tried one I want it even more! Big TV with Netflix etc lots of bedding supplied and lots of electrical sockets which are needed after travelling all day with phones. The owners truly have thought of everything and the best bit for us was my son is autistic and struggles with textures I had been preparing him all day that he would have to sleep in a bed with normal covers as his one got left behind but thanks to the soft blankets provided in a drawer in our room I was able to adapt the bed and he is super comfy and content now! It's like the owners have thought of everything, there is even an area with a slide for smaller children and a giant trampoline which my son LOVED sad to have to check out early tomorrow in honestly I'd happily have spent the entire morning relaxing in this beautiful room! Wish I'd have arrived earlier in the day I would have if I'd have known how lovely this was! much better then any hotel I've stayed in and dogs are allowed to!! Will definitely be back next year!!!! Thank you. I'll update about breakfast tomorrow it's bed time now 🤭 Breakfast was so good!

The location is perfect for me, near the office and Tesco. The place is comfortable and feels like a second home, since I come here often. Breakfast is massive, I always end up taking some to the office. Having our little car park is brilliant. More importantly, the owner is charming and so hospitable.

Location was lovely not to far from other places dog friendly which is good and our hosts were very friendly and accommodating nothing to much trouble definitely stay there again.

Nothing everything was great

The cottage is quite pretty and easy to park. It's miles from anywhere, except for the university, which was what we needed as it was just a break on our journey. The lady who opened the door, Claire, was very friendly and informative.

The room was extremely small. OK for one night but not more. The breakfast was minimalist. It was OK, but typically in a B&B you get a really good breakfast. Personally I dislike breakfast in my bedroom, much as I should dislike sleeping in the breakfast room. However that's all that was on offer.

The property was very clean and David was very nice. I found it quiet and I slept well. The wall fitted dispensers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash was a really good idea. It was also good to have two double sockets at each side of the bed too.

Parking was difficult and the room was very small. Having breakfast delivered to the door in a paper bag is a first for us. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were hard and lumpy. The bathroom was very small and claustrophobic and the shower needed to be put onto cool to get a normal temp to shower. I would recommend that the owner defines which rooms are available and apply a price to each instead of just bungling them all on at once. I have problems with my spine and the steep stairs were difficult

The breakfast was a bit monotonous and having it delivered in a bag wasn't the nicest. Having a space to eat breakfast with proper knives and forks and plates would have been nice. but for a short trip it was fine.

When we booked we thought it was a traditional b and b room so were pleasantly surprised to have a self contained annex. The coffee machine and cooled water in the fridge were a lovely touch and the breakfast bags were full and tasty.

The location for the Industrial Estate where I was doing a course. Beds were comfy & all you basic needs. there were plenty of tea, sugar & milk too

The property is cosy, but very modern with all of the amenities needed. Comfy beds and very clean.

Because of the size of the room the placement of some facilities such as the sink and shower door were a little inaccessible. The bathroom door was also quite difficult to manoeuvre at times.
