Staff was excellent very attentive and knowledgeable about the hotel, Matthew the waiter at the terrace was such a joy and made me feel so comfortable at your hotel, the manager and the waitress at the barn restaurant gave excellent service and was super friendly. Also the Buggy guys were excellent at taking you to your hotel room. In-room dining were exceptional and Cleaners kept our room very nice and tidy. Front of house is very helpful and kind. We like watching the Polo, the swans/wildlife and seeing little bug hotel. Regarding evening entertainment, Greg the pianist/singer Gave a great performance was super engaging with the guest made everyone feel very comfortable and welcome. He’s talent was very good. He knew lots of different songs and it was a joy to watch.

The standard of the room could be better value for money as the room was pretty basic apart from the bathroom which was very lovely. Kids club was a little rundown, could be updated with more books and cleaner toys, more in line with the hotel 5 star standard. The women at kids club were very friendly, but I found that in the Kids club there wasn’t much learning interaction with the kids and it was very chaotic. Swimming was probably for me the most disappointing as some front of house team members not welcoming, only one person greeted us, the other young girl (blonde) walked around with a bad attitude, very miserable and wasn’t showing the spa in a good light. As for swimming, it only had one pool with no Jacuzzi or kids pool and kids having to wait for their turn seems a bit of a disappointment. Other than that, it was fantastic the whole experience.

The Manor House is set in glorious countryside and is so relaxing. The staff are there to please and do an excellent job at all of that. Nothing seemed to much trouble and there was a friendly, professional air to operations. Having eaten at the woven restaurant on a previous visit we were disappointed to be out in the evening and to have not repeated our previous experience which was exceptional. Breakfast however was really good and so was our brief lunch after a visit to the equestrian centre.

Our only disappointment was returning late in the evening to our room to find that the air con had been on at full blast during the day and in the cooler evening our suit was like an ice box, nothing we did to the room temp settings could rectify that so late at night.

Breakfast was excellent, well presented and good choice, service was a bit slow.

1. Sitting outside on the sun terrace of the Spa would have been idillic if it wasn’t spoiled by a very very loud roof fan. 2. No cigars available.
