Nicely located and comfortable

We liked the location of the Holiday Homes. Being near Skogafoss and Vik was perfect for traveling to and from the area. The kitchenette was more than functional as we cooked breakfast every morning. It had everything that was needed.

The couch could have been more comfortable, but understand that it could be used as a pull-out bed. Also, we had to keep our luggage and whatnot in the main room instead of a closet or bedroom. It forced us to stay organized!

La ubicación y las vistas son geniales. Las casitas son muy acogedoras y bien equipadas. La cama aunque pequeña, es muy cómoda.

No había los mismos accesorios en las diferentes casitas. En la nuestra no había secador o sal y en la de nuestros acompañantes sí. La habitación es muy pequeña y sin mesitas.

Erg klein bed met ze’n tweeën. Geen wifi aanwezig. Enkel in de centrale ruimte. Doordat je in het huisje zelf geen bereik hebt kon je dus niets met je telefoon. Waardoor wij diverse meldingen over de storm hebben gemist. Appje gestuurd naar verblijf ook daar geen reactie opgekregen.

A cozy comfy house in the middle of nowhere. There were mountains and grass, a really quiet place. Our friends saw the northern lights for the first time there, but they couldn't get us, as we were fast asleep. The kitchen in the house is also superb, as we were able to cook some pretty complicated stuff there

Clean convenient cottages in a magical location

Location, and the room was clean. The cleaning staff were helpful and nice. The bed was comfortable.

The bathroom sink pipe leaked & we had to collect water in bowls that filled quickly. There were NO shelves or closets for clothes. We used our suitcases and the floor for our clothes. The bedroom had no tables, just a bed and 2 lights. No management staff on site. The power went off for 4 hours in the area and we tried to contact someone at the hotel for information, no response.

The views from the cabins are dominated by the other buildings, I was hoping to see only nature

Great location. We like the little house concept but lined up as these are, seems more like a trailer park.

No staff on premises and no direction to help us check in. We tried calling the phone number but nobody answered until we had tried many times and finally borrowed a local phone.

Bed and pillows were uncomfortable

This was our first stay in Iceland, our plane landed with a delay and we had a long way to drive to the Holiday Homes.. needless to say we weren't going to make it on time for the check in. I was panicking for real but it was enough to call the service number and a very kind lady just dictated to me our house number and key code. Easy as that. So that was excellent and saved us a nigth spent in the car :) The cottage is super small, but quite cozy as well (and the size was also clearly stated so no surprises there). The location is so beautiful, the only downside is that right in front of the cottages there are a bunch of rows of other tents/accommodations (the cheaper ones without the bathrooms I believe). It would be nicer for the view to be a bit more "isolated", but it wasn't a big issue anyway. When we arrived we found that the lights had been left on for us, which was a nice touch.

For the same price I have found other cottages which were way nicer. I don't regret our stay here, but I found it a bit overpriced

I didn’t like check-in process - in order to get a key code, you have to call and ask for it. I think it should be easier to get this code via message.:)

Heat not enough,

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this small house and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. One of the best things about this place was the beautiful and peaceful surrounding area. The house is situated among other similar style houses and the view is absolutely stunning. Another great thing about this house was its proximity to Seljavallalaug thermal pool. The house itself was also well equipped, especially the kitchen. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my towels were changed everyday during my stay. This was a small detail but made a big difference in making me feel comfortable and taken care of. Overall, I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped retreat in a stunning natural setting.

The only downside to my stay was the check-in process. I think it would be more convenient if guests could be provided with a code through message, rather than having to call the host for check-in.

the idea of an entire small house at your disposal even for a single night is really nice, you can cook, relax and taking advantage of the house to wait for the northern lights as we did.

This place was spectacular! The views were stunning. We just walked outside our front door and saw the Northern lights. How cool is that? Then ,I got on my Alltrails app and realized that there were two hiking trails just down the lane. We hiked part of the Eyjafijyalljoull trail. It was challenging but so fun. There is a much shorter trail that leads to a man made but geothermally heated swimming pool. The location is fantastic. It's near Skogafoss and Kvernufoss, black beach and 30 min from Vik.

The road was with high snow and we had to arrange to clean it.

Nice environment, very quiet.

Vague looking stains in the bedsheets, both pillow covers had broken zippers which meant during the night you’d be lying with your face on the exposed pillow. Not very hygienic.
