Localização excelente, roupa de cama limpa, atendimento no check in, disponibilizam uma copa com microondas.
Além disso o hotel deixa uma cortesia (água, cafezinho, uns biscoitinhos e ainda tinham 02 paçoquinhas no meu quarto).
Não ter café da manhã.
Tinham umas teias de aranha em alguns cantinhos.
Nada q não me faça voltar..

Gostamos do Atendimento da Recepção. Gostamos da interação com o pessoal da limpeza/camareiras. Gostamos da localização perto do metrô, restaurantes e a Lapa.

Late Check-in ( operates from 5 pm onwards). The location was fine to visit the main attractions around the center. It is very close to metro station (Gloria). The area is safe. There are some restaurants and markets. The room was very small, as informed, but it was comfortable and clean. The staff were kind and helpful.
My room was internal and the only window was facing a ventilation shaft.

A construção é antiga e muito bem conservada, charmosa. Quarto silencioso e cama confortável e espaçosa. Perto do metrô. Funcionários simpáticos! Recomendo e voltarei mais vezes.
O Banheiro é bem apertado, se for uma pessoa com mais de 1,70, vai ter dificuldades de sentar no vaso.

Funcionários atenciosos e amáveis. Adoramos! A localização é ótima. Perto do metrô. Há pequenos mercados, farmácias e bares próximos ao hotel. Aos domingos há a sensacional Feira da Glória. O ar condicionado funcionava perfeitamente, as cortinas deixavam o quarto bem escuro, a cama era muito confortável, tomadas na cabeceira. Tomamos café em um restaurante muito próximo, em que o Hotel tem convênio - sensacional.
A Glória é uma região central do Rio - é preciso saber que próximo ao Hotel há uma dinâmica de centro urbano: transeuntes, pessoas em situação de rua, comércio ambulante, etc. Eu não me importo - pelo contrário, gosto bastante, acho vibrante. Mas trata-se de uma informação importante para possível hóspedes.

I love the Monte Castelo. The staff are incredibly helpful and kind.; the rooms are very clean and well maintained; the location is very good given the hotel's proximity to the metro. I have been staying here since 1989, more than 34 years now. It remains my favourite hotel in Rio de Janeiro.

Really great place for the price - lovely location, clean, great host! Rooms cleaned every day which is nice touch. Access to a microwave and filter water which is great.

The staff here are wonderful, kind and very thoughtful. The location is generally good too.
The facilities are extremely dated, not very well kept and in some instances just awful. The bedding was ripped and stained. The smell of both the room and (even worse) the bathroom was damp and heavily musty. The sink drain was clogged and took a very long time to drain. I only stayed one night in transit but I wouldn’t stay again.

Clean up the room and change the towels every day
All most all staffs Inc receptionists speak only Portuguese and my room is on low grand floor where is quite dark and no view at all.
