Room was small but had everything you needed for an overnight stay in the city.

There was an evacuation alarm around midnight and the section of the building I was in locked and I couldn’t get out. No explanation from staff what had happened, but it was a bit of a shocking situation as the alarm went off for a good half hour.

The location is excellent because it's near the train station and the city core with all the good restaurants. The bed was super comfy and clean. The washroom is old but seemed clean. I liked that the room had an iron, kettle, tea treats and coffee as well as a little fridge. Staff was great.

My only complaint was the filthy carpet, it was really dirty and needed a vacuuming asap. It was full of what looked like crumbs or just people's dirties, I didn't feel like investigating.

Not enough English breafast tea. Unfortunately the morning we left there was an ant infestation. They came from wall under the window. Luckily on the spare bed. Un fortunately some of our spare clothes on there. Not a nice experience. Disappointed no discount or reward given.

The staff were really nice and helpful, including accommodating my early check-in request. The hotel is well located, about a 5 minute walk from Southern Cross station and close to many restaurants and shops.

The coffee shop/restaurant in the hotel is closed, which wasn't mentioned on the booking website and was only brought up by the hotel after booking. The walls between the rooms are too thin and another guest was playing loud music thoughout the day. Luckily they had a good taste in music.
