The room is fantastic. The building is lovely and the staff is incredibly kind and helpfull.

The price is obviously equal to the quality. But it is worthwhile. The location is good but a little empty in the surroundings. But nothing that would spoil the place.

The staff was very accommodating, transfers to and from the airport were wonderful. Location is in a very quiet area with beautiful views of the city from your room. The included breakfast was wonderful as well with plenty of options to choose from. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Everything about this place is perfect!!

Perfect little hotel. Clean, friendly staff and great food. This hotel was such a surprise. Did not know what to expect but it surpassed all expectations. Can highly recommend.

The structure of the hotel was very nice, as was the location and the view from the terrace. The cleanliness was outstanding as was the housekeeping

I feel this is a once great hotel which has subsequently been on a bit of a downward slide. Breakfast did not taste good and we tried a few options with the same result, however, the service was good. Every member of staff on reception were trainees and the result of this has been my deposit has still not been refunded to my card.

This is a dream hotel; exceptional stay. We arrived later than expected and were greeted with a huge smile and help with our luggage. From the moment we stepped foot on the premises, we were treated like royalty; it was like a little piece of heaven. I would give this hotel an A+ in every aspect because it's small and cozy, close to everything, beautifully decorated, rooftop views, windows that open with fresh air, bathtubs for a good soak, wonderful staff, delicious breakfast, quiet and just charming.

quaint, quirky with fantastic staff and everything you didn’t know you wanted! big comfy bed, a pillow menu to ensure your best sleep, and an end-alley way location overlooking the palace gardens means it’s so quiet! so very Special!

people with mobility issues should be aware of the location up a hill, at the end of an alley way.

Breakfast was excellent. Like a three course meal and delicious. Served with lots of care and love. Would like to thank the person who served us. Spoilt us completely

We were happy with everything

All the staff were friendly and helpful, and we had many requests. The included breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant was a highlight, as well as the daily fruit and nightly dessert delivered to our room. If you are looking for a non-corporate feeling hotel with excellent service, you will enjoy the Golden Well.

It is up a steep cobblestoned street (not too steep), and the cobblestones get slippery in the rain.

O hotel é espetacular, classe, charme, beleza, impecável. Surpreendeu de forma muito positiva. Breakfast a la carte extremely good.

Perfect service, interior design and food.

No green parks or trees, no pool for this price, too lonely and secluded.

Its simply perfect. Everything you can expect from a true 5* plus the genius loci.
