Nice room and location was perfect, right in the centre and close to the turtle beach. Manager was a very friendly and professional guy.

airconditioning wasn’t working like it should be, we think the unit outside wasn’t working properly… no shampoo or shower gel present, a bit strange for such a nice hotel! outside could use a clean-up, it was definitely low season…

such a cozy and wonderful experience at Villa Paradise, every single time this is the place I stay in Hikkaduwa….best value, best owner and hotel staff, and best most comfortable rooms, plus a perfect location right in the middle of the restaurant zone, and situated on the beach. +very comfortable beds + very good, strong AC’s in the room + superb and wonderful owner, with caring staff + awesome and delicious food at the hotel beach restaurant

Villa Paradise is perfectly located right at the beach. The surfspot was just in front of the hotel, which was nice for an early morning surf session. The rooms are very comfy, especially the bed. The owener and the staff was so nice and kind, we felt very welcomed. Highly recommended!

i’ve been to so many of the smaller, medium, and larger hotels and guest houses all around Hikkaduwa, but yet I just keep coming back again and again to this place, Villa Paradise, as it truly lives up to its name and is an oasis from the bustling energetic main street of Hikkaduwa! In my opinion, Villa Paradise is the best. Mainly because of such a great owner and staff who are so nice and so kind, and absolutely go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable and taken care of. The entire place has a great energy. Now onto the rooms, which are some of the most comfy and welcoming I’ve ever stayed in…I can’t put my finger on exactly what it is about the rooms that make them so darn comfy, but they just are!! When I get in the room and crawl into the super-comfy bed, I just don’t wanna leave. Air conditioners work extremely well, very strong, and keep room well-cooled , good hot water in the shower too. I sleep so soundly and wonderfully here too, every single time. It also bears mentioning, that the outdoor restaurant by the beach has wonderful food, and delicious grilled chicken breast and mashed potatoes, which is my favorite. Highly Recommended!

Very pleasant host. Great location, right on the beach. The room was not fantastic, but just ok for a fair price. Pretty clean, can't say anything bad about that. A little bit larger room would be better, but the size can be seen in the description, no tricks. The restaurant and its food aren't the strong sides of the place, however, the prices are fair for that. And don't skip visiting Turtle Beach 10 min walk from this place - must see wild turtles coming right in your hands for a snack! Eating seaweeds local guys are giving to you for some donations)

The hotel itself is very modern and very comfortable. The rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfy and good Air Con! There is a fridge in the room and most have balconies too! Our favourite bit was the fact it was literally ln the beach. The hotel has its own restaurant and bar - good food, cocktails and shisha! Very close to the action but not right in the middle of it all, so slept like babies! The staff go above and beyond and some of the loveliest people we met in Sri Lanka. So happy we chose this place! Thank you guys!

Let this be the summary of my review: we were going to spend 3 nights there, we ended up staying 8. Beautifully located right at the beach. Very hospitable hosts. Very welcoming staff. Very relaxing environment. Would not hesitate to come back.

Powercuts as in most Sri Lanka (through no fault of the owner). Despite that a generator was used on multiple occasions.

We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Paradise, the room was very spacious, the bathroom was clean too - all in all very good. The best part was the welcome drink (passion fruit & banana juice) to which we got instantl addicted ;) The staff was very friendly too, they eve kept our surfboards while we went to explore the inlands of Sri Lanka! Thank you once again! :)

A beautiful house at the beach. A very nice atmosphere as it has a colourful bar in the Garden. The food is very good and freshly made. You will be served right at the beach. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with good aircon and shower. The house is run by a very sweet family. All the people working in the villa are very friendly and helpful - they truly make you feel like being at home :) Also the Villa is right beside the Main surfpoint of Hikkeduwa, which has a great view of the surfers catching their best waves. Very closeby is the turtles point also. Overall I can't think of a better place to stay and feel as Hikkaduwa is your hometown :-) Estuti people of Villa Paradise!!!!

Service at the beach was sometimes slow. But as it is a busy place, not surprising.

The staff was super friendly, and doing their best to make you feel at home! Also the food is really good. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The location and the atmosphere is also super, as there are lots of people around.

The manager was great , the rooms spatious and tidy and the overall service and atmosphere really good! The bar, restaurant and beach made us really happy too, and right in the middle of our lunch, tens of sea turtles hatched and the hotel staff carefully helped them into the ocean! ❤️🐢 We recommend booking the Junior suite, a lovely big room with a beautiful, high wooden ceiling! 😊😊😊

The owner and staff are lovely, really friendly and kind. The place is convenient if you are looking fot few days rest and some nice bars. The owner is very communicative. There's a restaurant just on the beach with very nice jumbo prawns. :)

One of the best places in Hikkaduwa ran by Nishan, his great team and family (saying hi to all of them!) who have become the real friends to us during two weeks stay. Villa Paradise is located just on the beach. There are very cool rooms with the sea and yard view balconies, nice interior. And there is one of the best restaurants among the whole Hikkaduwa. It’s our second time in the town so we’ve visited a lot of places. Fresh fruits and seafood, cool juices and cocktails — everything is very tasty (special hi to chefs!). Highly recommend to stay in Villa Paradise — you will feel like home here as we did. And many thanks to the team again, you guys are the best, it was so sad to leave your place! Helen & V

It's very comfortable place in centre of tourist part of Hikkaduwa. Rooms are really clear and comfortavle. Nishan is good man, that helped us with excursuons, transfer and different things. Between hotel and beach exist good restaraunt.

Very good location, right on the beach, lots of shops, Ayurveda places, restaurants, ATM , surfing and diving schools around Friendly and helpful staff and the owners. Rooms are simple but quite spacious, with the sitting areas and good air conditioner. We loved the restaurant on the beach, watching the sunset. drinks and food were great. we loved the seafood dinner at Xmas eve.

People. Everyone, starting with the owner of the hotel, Indika, are incredibly friendly people, and always willing to help and make the guests of the Villa happy. It seems that I haven't seen so many smiles in a year -- and haven't smiled so much myself -- as during these days at Villa Paradise :) However it was so sad to leave... but we definitely will come back! Beach. Very clean -- it is cleaned regularly, twice a day, and put in order, no matter what the elemental forces might do to it. Sun beds, umbrellas -- all you need is here. Restaurant. Tables just a few meters from the ocean, incredibly delicious and varied food -- for the 9 days we didn't even have time to taste everything that was on the menu, although we tried.. :) Behind the sound of the waves, you can hardly even hear what people say at the next table, if they don't do it too loudly -- but this rarely happens. So it's a very calm place to be. The ocean! I could watch and listen to it endlessly :) And you can also try a hand at surfing by taking a few lessons in the nearby Ocean Vibes surf school -- or renting a board if lessons are no longer needed. Swimming in the ocean was also never boring -- even on calm days there were waves on it. In case of bigger waves, however, one needs to watch carefully not to get pulled too far -- it's not very deep there, but the currents may be strong. There's a "rescue team" of surfers who will help you back to the solid ground in case of something, but it's better to take care of yourself, so that no one has to be rescued. If you wish, you can always ask to organize some kind of sightseeing activity for yourself, but for us our only desire on this trip was just to relax and fully reboot -- so check other reviews for the information about the surrounding sights, or better ask Indika -- who, I'm sure, will find what to tell you :)
