Very good location beach and harbour short walk, torre train station two minutes walk. Suzy and Paul excellent host with great knowledge of area. room and house spotlessly clean, lot of breakfast choice very nice.

We loved everything! Suzy and Paul are the best hosts. Everything was quality. We were so looked after. A real home from home. Highly recommended. Excellent.

If there was a suggestion box...I'd suggest "don't change a thing!" There was nothing about our stay I would change.

The breakfast was excellent and Susi offered a wide choice of options. The hosts were friendly and very informative and were flexible about using car parking facilities before check-in and after check-out. They have made a conscious decision not to have check-ins on the day that the previous guest checks out. This avoids pressurising the guest to check-out in a rush. Generous amount of power sockets by the desk for charging phones, etc and for using a laptop. Wi-Fi had a good signal. The small fridge in the room was very welcome for keeping drinks cold.

Although there is adequate car parking, it can be a little challenging to manoeuvre into the spaces available.

Suzy and Paul were very amiable hosts and they were knowledgeable about the area and gave us tips about where to go and how to get there. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious and had everything we required for our stay. Marmalade is a 5 minute walk from the station and the bus stop. The breakfast menu was varied and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our 6 nights and would recommend Marmalade to everyone.

The friendliness of Suzy and Paul. Really nice couple that will and did go out of thier way to make the B&B feel like home from home. What I liked? Food. Cleanliness. Local information of the area and surrounding towns. And the chats / stories which showed their love for each other and the business.

Paul and Suzie were very friendly and helpful. Had good knowledge of surrounding area and always willing to help with anything. Room had all that was needed for a comfortable stay and breakfast was exceptional. All in all a lovely 4 day break.

Couldn't fault anything

The breakfast was first class with plenty of choice. The room we had was very comfortable and quiet and the bathroom was huge. Suzy and Paul were excellent hosts and if ever we are down that way again we would stay again.

The only thing that was missing for us was the location not being on a bus route.

Everything was perfect. Suzy and Paul are the bests hosts we have ever had. Spacious and comfortable bedroom and bathroom, everything you need is provided even bathrobes. The bed linen and towels are of excellent quality. There is a plentiful hospitality tray with teas, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh milk and sweets. . There are also home baked cakes for you on your arrival. Breakfasts were delicious and Suzy would cook you whatever you wanted. We had great fun listening to the stories of they're previous musical careers (and have to mention Paul's jokes). Marmalade is an exceptional place to stay with exceptional hosts. They make you feel like one of the family and we certainly did not want to come home. We will definitely be going back and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone visiting Torquay. What a wonderful find this guesthouse was. On arrival we were greeted by Paul and Suzy with a very warm welcome. They are a lovely couple and each morning over breakfast they entertained us with wonderful and funny stories of their previous life on the road as professional musicians. We were shown to our room (Seville) which was light and airy and was equipped with everything required for a comfortable stay. There was a tray loaded with different teas and coffee as well as biscuits and sweets. There was a fridge in the wardrobe with bottled water and a jug of milk. Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh towels, bathrobes and toiletries were provided. The Queen bed was extremely comfortable and the feather duvet and pillows which were covered in Egyptian linen bedding were a sensation. Breakfast is provided at a time to suit you and is extremely well cooked and presented and plenty of it. Suzy will go out of her way to cook whatever you want for breakfast and her poached eggs were amazing. The guesthouse is located a short 10 minutes walk to the Station and seafront and only 15 minutes from the town centre. Free car parking is also provided. To sum up, a fantastic guesthouse run by really lovely people. Book now, you will not be disappointed.

You as the booking company should have informed us that the bb had changed owners,we booked this on their 5 star rating. Paul& suzy are new to this venture but performed really well thankfully,but disappointed with yourselves won't be using you again.

The breakfast was prepared to a high standard, fully meeting our needs. The host was always willing to adapt the menu if possible. The room was very comfortable and clean, complete with en suite facilities which were also very clean.

We would have preferred a ground floor room for accessibility reasons. The traffic noise was noticeable early morning, but this wasn't a big problem.

Recently changed hands and our stay was exceptionally good with comfy beds clean room and excellent breakfast hosts Suzy & Paul couldn’t have been better thank you

The hosts were Fabulous, friendly & helpful. Food was great & nothing too much to ask for, all dietary needs supplied for & surprise cakes or desserts every day. Lovely Clean B&B, the dogs were adorable but kept away from where guests were.

Shower hose dirt was the only down side, small problem mind.
