The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good as were the two evening meals we had there. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Mereside.

Great hotel just back from the prom, great size and rooms spacious with decent size bathroom. Breakfast was top draw and plenty to choose from with cerial, cooked breakfast and even manx kippers if you fancied. Bar was great as well with nice selection of drinks.

everything! I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful manager who showed me the room and couldn’t have been more welcoming. great spacious and clean room with all the facilities. location is superb. breakfast was amazing - everything you could wish for with no limit to quantity.

Comfortable bed, clean, expected items provided, walk-in shower.

Loud voices in the street early mornings, who appeared to be hotel kitchen staff arriving at the two hotels that across from each other. Parking in street is limited.

No blind or lace in the curtains -hence unless the curtains were closed there was no privacy. The water in the wet room did noty drain away properly. There was no shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. The lighting was inadequate for reading especially when the curtains were shut - BUT this occurs in all hotels thesedays for some reason.

The breakfasts were very good

Unfortunately I arrived on the over night ferry, but could not get into the room until 1.30pm. Although I was able to leave my bags

Breakfast was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient for the bus and the tram. Our room was well appointed and spacious

The bar and restaurant area were quite drab and not very inviting Our bathroom was a wet room and the water did not drain away well
