I am giving this apartment four stars because we had a hard time settling in. The instructions were confusing and there was no one to help us out. Also, the elevator was out of order although Ingela had said that we could take that elevator. In addition, the instructions for the washer/dryer were unclear. Although Ingela said she was available through the Internet or phone calls, it would have been nice to have someone present to solve the problems we had.

Incredible. Pristine (clean, looked nearly new) interior. Two bedrooms and a well-appointed living room and kitchen. They left fresh fruit for us, and some chocolates on the pillows. Immaculate—completely clean. Well decorated. AC worked wonders. Washer/Dryer worked perfectly, soap of all types were there. They left cell phones for our use as needed. 5 minutes’ walk from the underground, and only 3-5 underground stops from central Vienna. The wifi is strong, but one evening, upon our return, it had stopped working. The owner, Ingela, who has three-four units for rent in this building, was on vacation, but she had told us to call if we had any problems. Using the cell phones she left us, we called her, and she answered, even on vacation, then reached out to her local handyman who fixed the problem within a few hours. She even gave us a backup emergency wifi connection while we waited just in case. In the end we ended up paying $USD 10 to our phone carrier for hotspot wifi since we needed to, and she deducted this from our charges. Very fair, and highly responsive. She really cares about her guests. Her arrival instructions were very detailed and helpful. We highly recommend this apartment and this owner (Ingela). If we return to Vienna, we’ll stay here.

Ingela was really helpful, since we had an early arrival she helped us to store our luggage's until we had the apartment to ourselves. She even helped us to move our bags to the apartment. Phones provided by Ingela during our stay was very helpful. Overall great apartment and a super host !!! Would definitely recommend this place to whoever wants to visit Vienna.

The building is more or less dated, but the apartment is exactly as on the pictures. It is very nice and very clean, complete with all facilities like furniture and equipment you might need. Ingela is truly reliable and does everything she can, to make your stay very pleasant. You will even receive a present from her after your arrival. I would recommend this property without any hesitation to everybody.

This was such a great place to stay, I have no complaints. Ingela was so friendly and helpful, just amazing. She thought of everything! The apartment is in a nice area and so close to the metro station. It is only one stop away from Schonbrunn Palace. (we walked) I recommend Schonbrunn palace (and gardens with maze) over Belvedere palace, but they are both nice. I also recommend the Heindl chocolate museum and factory. The West Bahn train station is very easy to get to from here and so is the airport. Thank you for everything, the fruit, the maps, the phone, the laptop, the ipod dock... and sorry that I got chocolate on your tablecloth Ingela!

We rented the 2-bedroom flat for a week in late September. It is even nicer than it looks in the photos, and the special touches by our thoughtful hostess were much appreciated. The two cell phones were invaluable as they helped us plan meetings with the family we were visiting in Vienna. We also enjoyed having the netbook and Internet access to stay in touch with the folks back home, as well as checking-in on-line for our flight back to Canada. Ingela met us in person and gave us a tour of the apartment, which included instructions on using the washing machine ... the ability to clean our clothes (and having laundry soap provided) after a week of travelling was very nice! Ingela has thought of everything, including providing her guests with lists of things to do and see in the area, which bus to take into town, etc. There are a lot of cupboards and storage places, extra blankets and towels, oodles of guides books & maps, and a nice array of dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, etc. I noticed another reviewer's comment about being unable to walk around the bed in the main bedroom, but I didn't mind this a bit, nor was I surprised by it (obvious in photos). The bedroom itself is not small and the entire flat is much bigger than I thought it would be. It's palatial compared to many Europen hotel rooms! This flat is a few flights up. Ingela provides a key for access to the freestanding elevator in the courtyard. The elevator stops on the fourth floor only, where catwalks connect the elevator to the building. It is then just a short jaunt down the stairway. In the mornings we took the stairs down from the apartment, but really appreciated having an elevator to take us back up at the end of a long day siteseeing! My only somewhat negative comment is something beyond Ingela's control: the lights in the common areas (and hallway to the flat) are on sensors and on a few occasions at night I was left fumbling in the dark trying to negotiate the curving stairwells and getting the key in the door of the flat. Perhaps a small flashlight on the keychain may help? Europeans are very energy conscious, and I experienced this light-sensor issue in other countries on my trip. I am definitely going to bring a small flashlight the next time I visit Europe! Thank you, Ingela, for offering up this lovely flat. It truly was a "Home Away" from home for me and my daughter. Man får allt som är nödvendigt från tips till välkomsfrukter! Vi har varit som gäster två säsonger nu ( en vecka i 2009, en vecka i 2010 ) och planerar komma igen i 2011! Adressen ligger så nära Shönbrunn så man kan promenera dit och metro, buss och spårvagn finns nästan runt hörnet. Bra livsmedelsaffärer ligger i närheten, bland annat en biologisk mataffär! I spend my holidays abroad with my wife and 2 kids almost every summner. I must say this is the best apartment I've ever stayed to. It' s not just the apartment itself (clean, perfectly equipped and well decorated), but the personal touch of Ingela that makes you feel at home, and that somebody is there to care for you on whatever you might need. The location is great : next to the subway and 10' to the center.

Mycket fräsch lägenhet i ett lugnt men ändå centralt läge. Gångavstånd till slottet Schönbrunn samt endast några minuters promenad till tunnelbanan som på 10-15 minuter tar en till centrala Wien. I närheten av lägenheten finns även flera restauranter och livsmedelsbutiker. Ingela Johansson är en mycket trevlig och engagerad hyresvärdinna som utan tvekan hjäper till om man har några frågor eller funderingar. Lägenheten rekommenderas varmt och vi återvänder gärna hit. We stayed at the apartment from 06.08.11 to 12.08.11. With coming from a quite village in Devon, England we found the area noisy, but we accepted that fact. Apart from that the apartment was nice and well decorated. The apartment block looked run down but was undergoing redecoration, the parts that had been done looked good. Plus points:- Clothes washing machine, fridge/freezer, computer with internet, nearby S-bahn station and bus stops. Minus points:- The main bedroom could of done with being another 0.5 metres wider so that you can walk around the bed instead of over it to open the window or blind, the bedrooms could with different blinds if you twist the blind one way you get street light shining on the ceiling twist it the other way the daylight streams through. Sadly we missed Ingela's personnal touch as she was away on her own holiday. One thing that we would recommend that would come in handy would be a list of supermarkets there locations and opening times within a 3km radius of the apartment. I would recommend the apartment to others.

Very well equipped and designed. Clean and very attractive. Convenient for metro and Schonbrunn in walking distance! Ingela is very helpful and the use of netbook and two mobile phones is a very thoughtful touch. Couple of supermarkets nearby and a rather good pizza place. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend to family and friends

We (3) stayed here for nine nights and it was a lovely flat to live in, which matches the description and all photos exactly. Ingela was there to meet us after our taxi journey from the airport and it is well worth it in our opinion to accept her kind offer of ordering a fixed price taxi for you from the airport (and back after holiday if requested). There are local supermarkets and the tube or u bahn station is just round the corner and over the road so very easy to get anywhere in Vienna. The Schonbrunn is just up the road or one stop on the underground (latter is easier) and if you want to experience everything along with the excellent zoo (Tiergarten) then start early if you want to see it all in one day. We really enjoyed our holiday home and it will be our choice on any future visit.

We were a family of (3) staying at this apartment. Inge could not have been more accommodating. She greeted us upon arrival and was very thorough. The apartment was very clean and welcoming. She even had a welcome basket of fruit and chocolates waiting for us (nice touch). We have rented many apartments in Europe via home away and this apartment ranks as one of the top! What sets it apart is the little touches that Inge provides. She has two cell phones for us to use while in Austria (calling in Austria is free) and she also provides a laptop to use during the stay. The entrance to the apartment does not match her apartment. The entrance is under construction and a bit run down, but her apartment is wonderful. We would definitely recommend this apartment. It is very accessbile to downtown via the subway. Thank you Inge!!!!

This is a great apartment, in a quiet part of the city but close to the ubahn line between the centre and the summer palace. Well equipped,light and practical and owned by the ever helpful Ingela. Vienna is cultured and full of wonderful things to see and do. We were part of a choir performing in churches throughout the city and the flat made a great place to return to at the end of a busy day. Highly recommended at any time of year.
