We purchased some breakfast items and made breakfast in the apt. It was perfect. The host provided coffee and a nice selection of teas and our mornings were very relaxing. Just what we wanted!

There were a few items that were difficult to use or were broken and we let the host know about them.

Location…it was close to everything.

The stairs were a little squeaky and didn’t feel very sturdy leading up to the apartment but we aren’t small people either so it was probably just us.

The location was good. The check in process was easy. It was warm and the beds were comfy.

We saw the photos on Booking.com of one property which looked lovely. Nicely decorated, light and airy, maybe first or second floor. I booked that property but when we were given the keycode it wasn't the same property. The one we were given was gloomy on the ground floor, with no windows in the main living area. When I questioned why we weren't in the property we thought we had booked the owner said 'I had an emergency in the unit, which required some repairs, I didn't want to cancel your booking, because I had this unit'. Which is all fine but it would have been good to know so we could have lowered our expectations as we were quite disappointed with the unit we were given. There was a badly damaged floor tile in the bathroom which could have been a bit dangerous for my 80 year old mother in law who was staying and it didn't feel that clean. In response to your reply, I've attached a photo so you can see the broken tile which had sharp edges. And my mother in law is fit and able to manage stairs, otherwise I would have booked a ground floor property and you didn't know I was travelling with my mother in law when you switched us to the other property!

As the property has two bedrooms, you can choose whether you prefer softer or harder bed. Kitchen was fully equipped and there were also some basic things available, especially those you don't want to buy for a short stay, such as salt, pepper, oil, coffee, tea bags etc... There is a nice latino restaurant in the range of the property's WiFi! Go and eat at the corner!

Bathroom is quite old and deserves renovation, but still does its job ok. L-train stations are little further, about 10 minutes walk, but bus service can take you there and stops right in front of the house.

We loved everything! Very charming and quaint. VERY clean and comfortable! Felt like home away from home, in the big city! The owner was exceptional! Responded very fast to all my many questions, and with a ton of added information about the area! Great location to the city, without all the noise and hustle and bustle! What a wonderful surprise this turned out to be! Thank you, we loved it so much!

Apt was on 3rd floor, just a hard walk on tired legs. 1st Floor apt was not available for our visit. But, will book 1st floor next time for sure!
