Decent bed, cupboards with inbuilt locks and keys, bedside light, and free breakfast which was okay.

The person at the reception office downstairs was pretty rude! it’s a hostel, better speak English if the guest can’t speak Hindi than mocking them for not speaking Hindi! ऐसा करने की क्या जरूरत थी? Bathroom floor doesn’t have the slope so water stagnates after shower and the area turns into a little pond and gets super messy. No toilet paper in the toilet. Dirty kitchen sink! Right besides my bed there was a gap against the door with chunks of dirt! haven’t been cleaned in a while! If you are to run a hostel at least get someone who can speak basic English and not someone with attitude!

Clean room, clean sheets, clean updated bathroom with hot water, good working wifi, accommodating staff checked me in at 1am and communicated well. Well designed room. No complaints. Nice room area and common room. Communal kitchen.

Decent property located in a peaceful locality. Rooms are decent size and property folks are polite and helpful. Great service. Overall it's decent Value for Money.

Nothing as such ...just that taking cab from this place to anywhere in early or late hours may be bit tricky.

Room smelled a bit funny. No toilet paper and old feeling towel. Private rooms near to staff kitchen which is loud in the mornings. Felt very cold at night (there in December). The free breakfast is pathetic. Difficult to communicate with staff - seemed very confused when I arrived to check in and needed to see my app to know when I was leaving? Only cash accepted. No knowledge of things to do, very little interaction with guests... When I checked out, the man immediately started picking out earwax from his ear WITH THE ROOM KEY, I was horrified. No vibe -- hoped to meet people by staying in a hostel, despite wanting a private room. No group gathering even for new years eve, was sad. Location not the most convenient for sightseeing or shops/restaurants, though Lucknow isn't that big so it's not a huge problem.

The staff were rude and unwelcoming. As I arrived, they looked at me although I shouldn't be there. Once I showed them my booking, instead of saying welcome, they immediately asked for money (no pleasantries). As I didn't have enough cash for payment at the time (it was 9pm and they do not take card apparently), instead of giving me the next day to pay, a staff member put me on the back of his scooter and drove me around to several atms to get cash. This was unacceptable and unprofessional. He was rude and only interested in getting paid. After paying, I asked for food recommendations, and I was ignored multiple times. To my surprise when I checked out the next day, the owner of the hostel cancelled my booking and notified booking.com that I had never checked in and should be charged again. He relied on the information that the staff member on duty told him. I had to send the owner photo evidence of the room I stayed in for him to believe me. This was unacceptable. It appears that something dodgy is happening at this property. Stay here if you want to feel unwelcomed. Worst service and professionalism in all of India.
