Het ontbijt met uitzicht is fantastisch! Ook het diner was heerlijk en ik kon mijn wensen doorgeven. Daarnaast is de eigenaar enorm behulpzaam en hij geeft goede tips. Echt een aanrader! Ook is de ligging top, lekker dichtbij het station.

Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon van de kamer is fenomenaal, zelfs op de niet heel heldere dagen. We hebben ontbijt en diner gegeten en dat was lekker en goed verzorgd. De host is een bron van informatie over de omgeving, het openbaar vervoer en het eten. Een must is de rit per local bus naar Lipton’s Seat, vanwege de mooie route en de spectaculaire stuurmanskunst van de chauffeurs.

De kamer en badkamer mogen wel weer een keer geverfd worden om op te frissen. De kamer rook muffig bij binnenkomst, maar dat kan met het seizoen te maken hebben. Wij waren er aan het einde van de regentijd.

Certainement le meilleur endroit où nous ayons logé pendant notre séjour au Sri Lanka. Un hôte très accueillant, très intéressant, pleins de bons conseils et près à vous apprendre plein de choses sur son pays. L’hôtel offre une sublime vue. La nourriture est délicieuse. Nous y sommes resté 4 nuits et nous y sommes sentis très bien.

Very attentive host, delicious food and good location for exploring Haputale and surrounding area. Our host was very knowledgeable about the area and suggested walks and excursions. His assistant also shuttled us around the area in his Tuk Tuk for a reasonable charge which made life easy! Views of sunset (when the mist isn’t blanketing the valley) are spectacular

Room is fairly clean and cosy. Hot shower. Blanket is sufficient for the chilly weather. Host team is very hospitable and takes good care of guests. Had all my meals there, which are all delicious local fare, and they varied the menu. Had many chats with the host and team, learnt alot about local life etc. Host also helped to arrange various day trips and transfers at reasonable price, using his various contacts of drivers. Host also recommends suitable day trips based on guest preferences, and offers practical travel advice. Location is great and near the train station and town centre. Great view of the highlands from the guesthouse (whenever mist clears up). Value for money for this room price. Overall great place and would recommend.

La vue depuis la terrasse est juste incroyable, les repas fait maison sont succulents et c’était un réel plaisir de pouvoir discuter avec l’hôte qui est tres sympa et plein de bons conseils. Je ne peux que recommander !

Close to train station, helpful host, nice view. Very basic, but good for a night or two while trekking in Haputale area.

Not much. A bit of a challenge to reach with our big luggage but the view and the hosts more than make up for it.

It was very well situated with stunning views of the valley and coast. Naleef was a very knowledgeable and engaging host with a real interest in getting to understand his guest’s needs. The food at dinner and breakfast was some of the best we had tasted in Sri Lanka.

Hot water. Crazy good view! Hairdryer provided on request. Very good communicative owner. Lovely food. Near train station. Owner will check in on your needs and safety frequently. Also a very engaging person.

Slightly stained sheets and floor is concrete. Not a big deal.

Its very down, you need to climb down many stairs. Place was ok. Staffs were excellent. but it's not good for families with elderly people. We did not stay as we had two elderly members, who may find difficult t climb up a down.

Great guesthouse in Haputale, very well located. Room was very big, spacious and bright with a balcony to some pretty amazing views The owner is very nice, always happy to help you and give good recommendations I highly recommend!

The room was clean and comfortable with a hot shower and own balcony with superb views - weather permitting. A cup of tea on arrival goes a long way to settling in. The proprietor, NALEEF'S command of English was exceptional and his cosmopolitan life experience along with local knowledge was both helpful and intellectually stimulating.

The room and dining area has an awesome view of the mountains in Haputale. The room basically had everything for a 2 nights stay so it was decent enough for me. They also have a restaurant. While their in house chef is temporarily away, they still cooked up one of the best Sri Lankan Breakfasts I’ve tasted and went out of the way to buy me some samosas and milo. The host / owner and his staff were very friendly and helpful with the tour sites and give the best recommendations for transport to the tourist sites - in most cases a tuktuk. Saved my driver from damaging his small car on the rough roads.

Some room for improvements: While there were several lighting fixture, if I can remember only one worked in my room. Maybe some maintenance for these would do. Suggesting liquid hand soap to wash hands as needed.

Everything was more than perfect! The owner is a really good man ,I enjoyed very much talking with him !I had lunch and dinner there and it was the best meal in Sri Lanka ! Must try his food is extraordinary!
