good pool, nice bed

Friendly stay.

Family, M42, F42, Daughters 11 and 9 years old. Origin Netherlands. We arrived and the staff doesn't speak English, but with Google Translate she explained everything. She showed us our room and we immediately noticed the humidity. Bed has a few small stains but otherwise it seems neat for the price. the room has no window. a ventilation extractor in the bathroom that does not pull very hard and goes out with the rest when you leave your room. The shower is right next to the toilet. The jet immediately cleans the toilet, so close by. (handy, right?) We go directly into DaLat to see CrazyHouse with the kids and then the DaLat market. We come back late and humidity is quite high. I kill a cricket as inconspicuously as possible and remove about 10 kinds of worms without my children seeing what i am doing. I want to grab my bagpack that stands by the bed. when I pick it up there are big cockroaches running all over the bed. That goes too far for me. We have indicated it at the reception. You could see that they found this really annoying for us. They offered two more double rooms which they said to be much better. But we decided to leave anyway. He couldn't make a refund and I didn't make an issue of that. My concern at the time was another hotel. I am having a hard time writing this feedback. We know that we are going to Asia and that certain insects live there. And maybe I could have asked for a room with windows when i booked by this hotel. On the other hand, when they build there rooms (like ours). Then take into account proper ventilation to prevent mold and vermin and to provide your customers with good air. Our room was located down stairs.

The pool was fabulous and the building was stunning. The staff tried very hard to help despite our language differences.

Other guests or staff were very loud from 6am. We stayed on the ground floor.
