Quirky old cottage in a central location for Porlock’s cafes, shops etc. also near the start of the walk to Porlock Weir. Friendly couple, nice reception room, good breakfast.

For me the room was big. That would have been ok, but the bed was enormous, which meant big heavy bedding to struggle with. I slept on the edge of the bed and only wrestled with a bit of it. Not ideal. Also the bath was quite high, so I decided not to risk climbing over the side to use the over-the-bath shower. Nice breakfast room, but extremely quiet. Could have done with a tiny bit of soft tasteful background music. The people at the next table seemed to feel better whispering.

A lovely Bed and breakfast, with hosts who clearly care that their guests are happy and felt looked after. Breakfast was excellent, good quality ingredients, Repeat visitor.

My room was a little noisy with the flushing and water in pipeworks from a different room but appreciate that cant be helped

The cottage is a very cute and comfy place. The room is very nice and very clean, you feel like being in your second home. The hosts are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The breakfast is excellent. The cottage is situated right in the village and very close to the SWCP which is very convenient. I would always come again..

Maybe fewer plastic bottles in the bathroom- nice to have moisturiser and bath soak as well as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner but probably not necessary and increases plastic use.

Our two-night stay at the Cottage B&B in Porlock was fantastic. Chris, the host, went above and beyond to ensure that our holiday was memorable and enjoyable. The breakfast provided was really good. Everything was great

The location of the property was fantastic and there are parking spaces at the rear. The room was bright and comfortable with lots of extra finishing touches such as shampoo and conditioner, tea, coffee and water and even a torch. They really have thought of everything. The breakfast had was exceptional. Chris and Clare were wonderful hosts.

Owner was lovely

Beautiful property in an idyllic setting. We made to feel very welcome, great for hikers willing to divert slightly from the coast path. Our room was cosy, quality refreshments and toiletries provided. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options available.
