Free breakfast was provided. Really lovely- bread, muesli, yoghurt, fruit, even a little platter of homemade slice for us to enjoy. The location was ideal if you have a car- about a 2 min drive into the town of Hawera. We didn't expect the Gatehouse to be so big- it was a huge historical house with three big bedrooms (a queen bed in each) and a sofa bed in the games room.

We loved everything. If we had to be really picky, it's that there was only the one bathroom with the toilet inside the bathroom- so with four people, it meant managing the bathroom so we could all have a turn.

Great location in Hawera if you have a car. Lovely spacious cottage. Warm and comfortable beds.

Very cold in winter. Water pressure in the shower was not good. Quite expensive for three people.

Breakfast options were great, the treat on the table upon arrival was delicious thank you!

A curtain / blind over the window by the lounge door would be great.

Beautifully kept house and gardens, lovely to sit and eat breakfast on the decks in the morning looking at the rose beds , tranquil yet close to Hawera

Their is nothing to say was a beautiful place.

Linda was a lovely hostess and very helpful in sorting out the internet which was not working for our cottage when we arrived. The cottage was lovely with a comfy bed and spacious rooms.

The continental breakfast was very basic and it would have been nice to have included some fresh fruit to go with the cereal yoghurt, juice and toast provided.

Very spacious cottage, with everything you could need. Big comfortable beds and pillows not to mention beautiful gardens.
