It was so beautiful inside. The price was affordable

The location is tricky, narrow streets and so steep

Nothing, as far as the property is concerned. Only the people in the neighbourhood were polite and ready to help, but they hardly speak other languages.

The location is very hard to find. Even a local taxi driver, that we hired, got himself lost in the labyrinth of streets. The host blamed us, that we couldn’t find way, though he saw that we were stressed. He and his assistant were not able to manage the payment with the old fashioned magnetic stripe card reader POS, so we had to pay in cash. The rooms were uncomfortable for families. We were happy, that we had to stay for only two nights.

The garden and the rooftop terrace were amazing. The place was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was comfortable and there is AC in the bedroom, which is a must in summer in İzmir. The location is central, but it is up a steep hill.

The bathroom could be better. The shower head holder was broken, so you need to hold the shower head while taking a shower. No bathroom products were provided. The bathroom and the apartment itself was clean, but the shower drain was a little clogged and a bit smelly.

We arrived there around midnight and it took 30 mins to find the place. I had to call the owner/employee twice, no luck- no one answered! Given directions were quite misleading. We stayed at Iconic Stone room 3, but the door number was 17. We couldn’t sleep till 4am because of the bugs and mosquitoes along with mold smelling bed! We were disappointed enough to find another place to stay for our second night. They seemed to offer terrace but there was neither entrance nor directions to get there to check the view at least. It was an upsetting experience.

A great, historical building and an amazing idea of renovation in historic style! Everything looks like you’re traveling in time, there is a great impression!

Everything is fine

The old house is simply gorgeous. They keep the old stuffs in the house. The hotel gives all efforts to provide detailed information to guests before arrival.

We had difficulty in opening the lock. We tried the number shown on the picture but it didnt work. We had to call to ask for the password. It is important to note, that not all tourists buy SIM card on their phone. The bedroom downstairs needs to be repaired as it cant be closed. The toilet needs to be checked as it is hard to flush. The price of breakfast (EUR 10/person) is expensive compared to what they served.
