Cabin is beautiful. The views are beautiful. Drive up the mountain kind of scary. Definitely would recommend 4 wheel drive. My car slipped on the rocks a few times.

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway! The cabin exceeded our expectations. It is simply beautiful. From the initial booking to our arrival the communication was excellent with the homeowners. We truly didnt want to leave, everything was perfect. Views are outstanding, the cabin is secluded. This is probably the nicest vrbo that we have reserved. We enjoyed walking the Lower Creek trail and walking around the community roads. We will definitely be back!

This was an awesome 6 night stay in a cabin that words just can't describe. Other reviews use "amazing, stunning, fabulous", etc. Well, it's more than that. The drive up to the cabin was easy if you use "Waze" as your GPS. It took us right to the cabin. The cabin is best described by the pictures in the listing. They are exactly the same as what you get. Kitchen area, living room area, bedroom, bathroom, and game room are amazingly well stocked. Sunset view is stunning and amazing. If you are on the fence about renting here, you WON'T be disappointed. David and Amy know hospitality and they show it. We will be back next fall. For sure. So, if you book, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

The cabin was beautiful and very clean. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the firepit, deck and hot tub. The views are spectacular and we would love to come back. It’s definitely an annual destination.

This place is perfect. We loved everything about it. It surpassed our expectations with the views. We spent hours watching the mountains change colors throughout the day. Hopefully, we can get back there sometime in the future. The house had everything we needed. We brought groceries and drinks and did not leave for 3 days.

Took the wife back to the smokies for her birthday. This cabin was a fantastic place to stay. Absolutely beautiful views, wife couldn’t get enough, sucked to have to leave. No doubt, this will be where we stay or our future trips to the smokies. I didn’t get to fish Alarka creek as much as I wanted but did manage to get a couple of hours in and caught 3 sliver/gray trout, one brown, and one rainbow. If I could’ve only caught the brookie I was after I would’ve had a grand slam in under 2 hours. The drive up is as steep as they say, but a blast to drive up. We rolled in well after dark lol, but the drive up was fun.

We had a wonderful time at Elk Ridge Cabin!! !! It is so comfortable, beautifully decorated, quiet and we had everything we needed!! We will definitely be back!!

My husband and I are so grateful for our 8 night honeymoon experience at Elk Ridge Summit. Everything was perfect: the location/views, amenities, and the hosts. We cannot thank the hosts enough for the experience they provided to us! If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time, yet close to attractions such as Bryson City shopping (recommendation: get the jarred pickles from Darnell Farms, and be sure to get several because you will be addicted), the National Park, Gatlinburg, the NOC, etc., this is your place. If you are lucky enough to drive and can bring golf clubs, the Sequoyah National Golf Club course is a MUST for the views. We loved how this cabin is filled to the brim of activities and ideas that can bring a couple close together (get ready for some intense games of shuffleboard!). There was a different amazing view every day from the deck and hot tub below: watching the fog fill the valleys, sunsets, hanging with the hummingbirds, and stargazing. We ate dinner here nearly every night because we just loved the serinity that much. I truely hope to return to this cabin for a future visit. This trip was nothing short of amazing and we will forever remember this experience.

This is an absolute dream home. The pictures and previous glowing reviews sold us on the location and property, but it's another thing entirely to make the drive up and walk in the front door - just WOW. We can't imagine a place more inviting and warm, and Amy & David's attention to detail throughout is beyond thoughtful. It's immediately apparent how much love they've put into their home and we feel blessed to have had an opportunity to experience it. We were housebound for a majority of our 3 nights there due to some fluctuating weather, but we honestly couldn't have been happier - as folks who enjoy cooking for catharsis, their kitchen was a complete delight, and the downtime in the hot tub, using their stock of puzzles & games and morning coffee + hummingbird-watching on the top deck were just what we needed. Watching the "smoke" creep over the mountains and into the valleys was magic - every time we looked outside the vista seemed to have evolved into something even more beautiful. Our hosts were super responsive during booking and leading into the trip, providing excellent recommendations of what to bring, what to see/where to go and how to make the most of their accommodations. The driving directions and overall instructions are foolproof, providing answers to any questions we could have had ingoing and during our stay. If you're looking for a gorgeous place to unwind in the mountains near Bryson City, look no further. Thank you Amy & David!!

Elk Ridge Summit was the perfect mountain retreat for us for a birthday week! Cool temperatures, a few fun storms, beautiful views, very clean, well-appointed kitchen, upscale comfortable furniture and decor, fun game room, and nice firepit area! Loved the hummingbird feeder and high outdoor deck chairs! The hosts provided all the little touches and details that make a cabin feel like home and they were very gracious and available. Thank you, David and Amy...we look forward to staying there again in October!

Views were fabulous. Weather was cool and relaxing. Cabin was well stocked and comfortable. Game room was great fun. First drive up the mountain was a bit daunting but by the second day was easier. This will be a do over.

This cabin had it all- views, amenities and games! It is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of life.

I hesitate to say anything good. This is a treasure we want to keep to ourselves. But our mothers taught us to be unselfish…So here goes…If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful place, look no further. The house is absolutely spotless. It’s definitely one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever stayed in. The furniture was incredibly comfortable, both inside and out. The kitchen is well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare meals. It rained a little every day, but we didn’t care. We loved watching the fog move up the valleys and hollows. The scenery changed constantly. We left twice. Once to go to Ingles in Bryson City and once to go to Waynesville (a cool place to explore). The house is so comfortable, we just didn’t want to leave! The road going up the mountain was a bit intimidating the first time, but we followed David and Amy’s instructions and had no trouble at all. There are a couple of places on Unahala Rd that were narrow, but it wasn’t a problem. Everyone was kind and courteous and used the pull-outs to share the road. Thank you, David and Amy for a lovely week! We hope to return again someday!

I was celebrating my 40th birthday and our stay was relaxing and peaceful. The skies were absolutely breathtaking and I was in awe of the beautiful nature. The cabin was cozy, the game room was a fun touch, and wrap around deck was beautiful.

My husband and I absolutely loved the cabin. The views are spectacular. The cabin is immaculate. Even the pillows and bed were so comfy. The game room gave us hours of entertainment. The jacuzzi was such a treat, too. We enjoyed bbq and eating on the porch every night. We reconnected and rejuvenated all week long. We never left the cabin! Book this now! No regrets

Our stay at this location was a TREMENDOUS one!!!!! The beautiful surroundings inside and outside of the property were awesome. The breathtaking views from the deck and otherwise we’re majestic. We even got to enjoy a couple nice rain showers that contributed to the beautiful environment we found ourselves in. The home was superbly clean and also VERY comfortable. We had EVERYTHING we needed in the house to make us comfortable and to help us enjoy our stay. My wife and I don’t really have the words or pictures to accurately describe the stay and journey we had the past couple days. Kudos to you guys on an amazing property!! WE WILL BE BACK!

This property was fantastic. We loved sitting on the deck and just watching the clouds cast shadows on the hills below. We saw many different kinds of birds. We loved sitting by the fire on chilly evenings. We enjoyed the darts and shuffleboard. It was a fantastic trip at the perfect cabin.

We had an amazing stay at this jewel. It was a climb getting there but worth every incline for the deck with amazing views. The cabin was perfect with every amenity thought through. If you plan your food in advance, you can just stay on the mountain top with a good book and a cup of coffee. A perfect getaway!
