This was a great home base for our group. We enjoyed every second.

Location was great, central to what we wanted to visit in Iceland. Six bedrooms fit our family of 13 very well, kitchen and appliances were well stocked, and plenty of room to sit for meals and games.

The house is beautiful and has beautiful views. It was stocked with basic essentials. The kids loved the chickens and we enjoyed the hot tub. The owners were accommodating and nice. We enjoyed our stay

We, a group of 10 friends, loved staying here! everything we could possibly need was available and questions were responded to really fast. The location is a great base from which to explore iceland, it seems quiet and like a very safe neighbourhood. There is also little light pollution, we saw the northern lights from the balcony and hot tub. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here!

We enjoyed a week in late September here with our children and grandchildren. We found it really spacious with plenty of room for the infants to move around. Self-catering was straightforward. We were really impressed at how many things there were to do and see within a 30min drive. The Tomato greenhouses at Frodheimar were a 10min walk and a great lunch - but do book ahead as it was really busy even in September. The Northern Lights were easily visible just by walking outside on clear nights

From booking, pre arrival and during our stay, Agla was very helpful with information. The home has everything you need for a wonderful stay! The location is perfect for the Golden Circle Sites. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 1 teenager, we all had our own room and bathroom making it so nice to be able to all be ready at the same time. If we return, we will definitely rent this home again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

First of all, Agla was the most accommodating host. She was extremely flexible with us, understanding, and made us feel so comfortable and welcomed in her inn. The property was so beautiful. From the decorations to the comfort of each room. We didn’t have time to enjoy the backyard but the space looked so nice. We loved the location being near the Fridheimar tomato farm and other spots on the Golden Circle. I would 10/10 recommend this place it was beyond perfect for a big group stay.

We were a large family staying for three nights as we toured around the Golden Circle before heading south, and The White House was a fantastic stay and perfect home base for our adventures. It is a gorgeous house, with beautiful furnishings, and a huge kitchen with everything you might possibly need to make home-cooked meals. The bedrooms are all roomy and mattresses extremely comfortable, and the lovely modern individual bathrooms were a huge plus for us. We spent each evening out on the deck and in the roomy, clean hot tub (and when we asked Agla to turn up the temperature for us, she took care of it immediately). The neighborhood is quiet, but there is a pizza restaurant right up the road that was perfect for the one night we did take out. I could go on and on about how happy we were here and how everything we needed was provided. Don't hesitate one second in choosing to stay at The White House!

Our stay far exceeded what we could have dreamed of. Beautiful home, large accommodations, lovely yard and perfect location. Saw the Northern lights from the back balcony and soaked in the hot tub while snow was falling. Agla and Carl were outstanding hosts. Quick to respond, welcoming and included us in their holiday traditions. We are a family of 9 that will forever remember our happy times in The White House.

We had such a wonderful C time visiting the golden circle and Reykholt area! Agla was a wonderful host and provided such helpful information for day trips. She even helped arrange for a local chef to come and cook a lovely dinner for us at the house. We were a C large group of 8 adults, 1 ten, and 2 young children. The house was perfect! We would definitely stay again if visiting Iceland in the future.

A really lovely, clean, & well equipped place (kitchen tools/pantry things & laundry!) and was perfectly set up for 6 couples to stay together & cook group dinners but still have some privacy. Agla was very helpful and responsive and the location was convenient to a lot of the golden circle sights plus the volcano & a decent distance even from the sights near Vik. We would definitely choose this place again if we return with a different group.

It was a perfect stay for our family. The house was perfectly clean and had everything what was needed. We had wonderful time there!

Amazing home! The owners welcomed us to their home! Amazing ideal location in the heart of Golden Circle; very tastefully decorated, had every amenity one needs! We were 2 families with 4 teenagers , plenty of rooms and bathrooms! Chickens and adorable black lab in backyard! Owners spoiled with with fresh eggs! Thank you Ala and Karl! Highly highly recommend this beautiful house. One of the best of more than 50 vacation homes we have stayed at.

The White House Inn was a perfect property for our family group of 5 adults, which included my nearly 84-year-old mother, my son, my sister, and my nephew. The entire home was warm and inviting, and meeting Agla after a delayed flight, made it feel even more like home. Each of the six bedrooms was generous in size and gave all of us our own space and privacy when desired, along with individual bathrooms either ensuite or across the hall. The backyard was a quiet space that included a hot tub to soak in the evenings and plenty of space to relax. Although the Inn is not currently serving breakfast due to COVID, Agla so generously had various bread, meat, cheese options, fruit, along with beverages available when we arrived. It allowed us the time needed to quarantine after leaving the airport before receiving our negative results to start touring and shop for groceries. Reykholt's convenience to the Golden Circle was wonderful. We were able to visit Gulfoss and Geysir more than once to get pictures at different times of the day since both were within 25 minutes of the property. Agla also shared a recommended list of additional sites that one wouldn't find on a tour list, which added to this year's adventure. We were gone from morning until evening each day taking in various sites from Vik and its black sand beach, visiting many unforgettable waterfalls, to snorkeling at Thingvellir National Park. One of the once-in-a-lifetime events included a visit to the erupting volcano Fagradalsfjall after seeing Reykjavik and lounging at Blue Lagoon. Not only being able to walk directly up to the lava field in the valley, but for my son and nephew to climb the original path now closed to get pictures of the lava spewing behind them, will be one memory that will never be forgotten. My son's final highlight was being able to meet and walk the owners' beautiful black lab, Primo, to the river on our last evening there. Agla was again an amazing host as she printed our COVID certificates for our return flight to the US. We will all cherish our memories from our time in Iceland along with our stay at The White House Inn. It will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we hope to return again soon. Thank you for our stay at a true home away from home. I would give this property 5+ stars and highly recommend a visit. Agla...you are the best!!

The property is fabulous, totally as described and in a wonderful area. Alga is a star and was always there when we needed her.

The house was superb, everything was there for our group of 10 adults, could not have asked for a better place. The kitchen was kitted out with everything you needed, for staying in on the dark snowy evenings. The owners were so friendly and helpful and we loved sharing their family home and pets with them. House was in a great location for sightseeing. Rooms were clean and owner provided help with touring and restaurants in the area. She also let us know daily about weather conditions since we were in Iceland in November.

An absolutely immaculate property with perfect amenities, excellent information about the local environs, and all in all my best sort of stay like this ever. If you're heading to Iceland, especially if you're taking along a large group, do it here.

Fantastic property. The home was exactly as advertised. Spacious, clean, and very well maintained. Agla was incredible as a host. Very helpful in making restaurant recommendations and providing info about the local area. Will definitely stay again.

A group of ten of us stayed in the White House for a week - and it was everything we could have asked for an more! We used the hot tub every night to watch for northern lights - successful twice! The kitchen/dining set up was perfect for us to have a few big ‘family’ dinners. The rooms were very comfortable. And the 360 Mountain View’s can’t be beat! 10/10 would recommend!

The White House met our every need. There were 12 women staying there for 3 nights and we had such a delightful time. 6 bedrooms and 6 baths were a dream come true!!! We found the location accessible to several different parts of Iceland. Agla was so helpful in suggesting all the area destinations and places to eat, shop, and sight see. We had access to a full kitchen which allowed us to prepare breakfast before we hit the road and fix delicious dinners upon our return. And the hot tub was truly a bonus. Thank you Agla for sharing your wonderful home.

I have a property that rents from 8K to 15K a night on homeaway so I am familiar with quality properties and service. This place was more than I imagined.
