Beautiful town house with history. Large comfortable room with all the facilities. Breakfast was tasty and there was lots of choice. Host was very hospitable and helpful.

Rooms were amazing, quiet, warm, massive amounts of space. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. The host was very accommodating and although we arrived late in the day he offered to cook if we wanted to but also recommended where we could go locally for good food.
Parking is available but can be tricky depending on the size of the vehicle and if there are parked cars on the street. The King's has secure, private parking which is off street. We were driving a long wheel based Transit van, double cab) and the street had parked cars which made it difficult to park but the host was more than happy to make space on the street for our vehicle which has virtually no through traffic so we were more than happy to do park on the street.
There was nothing to dislike.

Beautiful Georgian house. Lovely interior. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast in a room with a crackling fire. There was lots of it - well presented and well cooked by John. Lovely, comfortable, quiet bedroom with ultra modern en suite wc, wash-handbasin and shower.
Dodgy TV reception. I understand this was only temporary - awaiting proper broadband installation.

Everything was perfect. John and his wife are very friendly and helpful. The room was large and it was very clean. John offered many trip advices to us. The breakfast was perfect (the best full English breakfast I've ever had). It is also very quite at night.

Quiet, calm peaceful place to stay so relaxing, this is our 2nd stay and it won’t be our last
breakfast was amazing, so full we didn’t eat all day, well worth the money
car parking is a bit tricky but I’m not very good at parking so parked in cattle market car park only a 10 min walk from property - this was totally our choice

Great location in the middle of town yet very quiet. Fabulous house, charming hosts. Great breakfast choices.
We felt guilty about asking the hosts to open the gated access for secure parking each time we went out in the car.

The breakfast was delicious and the host could not do enough for us. We stayed twice in two weeks - on the way to our holiday and on the way back and both visits were extremely pleasant

Although a little out of Barnstaple, it was well worth the 20min drive. Much better value for your money compared to say the Royal Fortescue, especially with a lovely cooked breakfast included.

Breakfast was excellent, good choice, promptly served and very well cooked.
A blind in the bathroom rather than a net curtain would have been better.
A waste bin in the bedroom as well as the bathroom would have been useful.

I only needed a one night stay whilst collecting a pup from the area. So basically a clean comfy bed and breakfast .
What I got was an immaculate room , tasteful decor throughout the property, lovely comfy bed with quality bedding. No noise from other guests, lovely conversation with John and an excellent breakfast . My wife was due to travel with me but was unable so John very kindly made me a ‘ to go bacon and sausage sandwich’ for my journey home . If in the area again I would happily stay and would highly recommend it.
Parking was a little tight but nothing too difficult.
