This home is absolutely breath taking! Laura, the owner has thought of everything we needed to make our week at the home absolutely perfect!

Laura was responsive throughout our pre-arrival timeframe, sending helpful information & recommendations (which were spot-on, every time, in every category). When we arrived, Laura was warm & welcoming, giving us a tour of the house, tips on how to get around & more recommendations. The house was filled w/thoughtful touches to make our stay easier & more enjoyable. The kitchen was very well stocked w/everything we could possibly need. The house itself was extremely clean & comfortable, w/strong, reliable WiFi, & the ability to open up the sliding doors & pass-through windows in the kitchen, creating a constant cross breeze & the perfect open air environment. You can stand anywhere on the property, or in the house, & have gorgeous water views, or turn your back to the water & enjoy equally gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains. The large outdoor space & deck areas provide a great balance of sun or shade, depending on your preference & the time of day. Laura has carefully & lovingly curated every small detail of this home & property to provide comfort, ease & an upscale getaway experience. She was an amazing hostess, remaining easy to reach & extremely responsive throughout our stay, while always making us feel like we were staying w/a friend. This is a truly special place – the kind of place you don’t want to leave when the end of your stay arrives. We can’t thank you enough for hosting our family at Vista Del Mar. We had an incredible time & definitely plan to return!

The house is immaculate and exactly as depicted. The views are stunning and Laura was a truly incredible host. We stayed the entire week of Thanksgiving and had cooking obligations for dinner. The house lacked absolutely nothing- fully stocked with every utensil possible which made cooking several dishes a breeze. Laura is so hands on and attentive is an understatement. She thought of everything, high end furniture, bug spray, blue tooth speakers, Margaritaville drink mixer! The 270° views were bar none. We won’t stay anywhere else on St. Croix. 10/10 stars!

Vista Del Mar is an extraordinary Villa on an amazing island with an EXCEPTIONAL Host/Owner! Our group consisted of three couples- (family) that travel annually together. We have extremely high standards/expectations and we thoroughly research each of the properties/locations. Laura met us nearby and we followed her to the property. The property description was spot on and couldn’t have been any more accurate and the views are incredibly beautiful. I have to say that we were truly blessed to find this location! Laura is the Host with the Most! She is extremely attentive and considerate. She is available to answer any questions, provide recommendations on anything we need, and is even willing to take care of the shopping if needed. High-end EVERYTHING for this home. EVERYTHING you need and the kitchen… WOW (for those fellow cooks) it was amazing from the W&S plates to every small appliance (air fryer, blenders, slow cooker, etc.) The thought that Laura put into guests' needs and their overall experience is amazing. She thought of everything. The house was spotless and again even more beautiful in person (how can that be, right??). The fact that each bedroom had an ensuite was perfect! All in all, we had an amazing time and can’t wait to return! Laura, you and your home were the highlight of our trip. We can’t wait to see you again VERY SOON! Vista Del Mar is a special place on a beautiful island. We were three couples on a first trip to St. Croix. This turned out to be the perfect property for us. We had very high expectations based on the reviews and this property managed to exceed our expectations. The location has spectacular views of Christiansted and Buck Island (spectacular day and night). There is a beautifully landscaped yard with a refreshing pool, relaxing gas firepit, and a great outdoor kitchen/dining area. There are several decks on the property, with very nice furniture, that also provide great views. The house is exceptionally clean, beautifully furnished and nicely decorated. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need, including high-end appliances and a soft ice machine. The three bedrooms, each with a beautiful en suite bathroom, were perfect for three couples. It was also nice to have beach chairs, towels, coolers, sand shoes, etc. available to explore the great beaches. The bottom line is that Laura has demonstrated an exceptional attention to detail. We have stayed at several VRBO properties and had very good experiences, but nothing quite like this. Thank you, Laura, for sharing your beautiful home and for your unforgettable hospitality!

This home and the property are truly something special. From the moment you step onto the property you will be wowed by all the beauty that surrounds it. We stayed for a week in June and it was an absolute oasis. Laura makes the entire place really feel like your own home. Nothing is overlooked, from the amazing kitchen with top notch everything, to the linens and towels in the beautiful en-suites, to the comfy seating and lounging areas outside with the most amazing views, Laura goes above and beyond to make the house your own private villa. The decor and furniture was beautiful but comfy. Laura was so thoughtful and left us an amazing welcome tray with all kinds of goodies. She met us to have her follow her up to the house when we arrived to make it easier (lower, upper upper 😉) to find. She showed us around and told us tips and tricks of the island and then left us to it! She was always available to ask for dinner recommendations or the best beaches to try. And we got to get our puppy loving on adorable Lilly when she came for a little visit in the yard. Absolutely loved the property, the island, the owner, and hope to be back to Vista Del Mar again soon. Thank you Laura for everything!

This place was immaculately designed with comfort in mind. There is literally everything i needed and wanted at this place. Comfy beds, pool, views, space, privacy, cleanliness, beach chairs/towels/coolers etc - all in a well-designed package. The host was so helpful, thoughtful, and generous and made us feel attended to during this trip. Like it was a dreeeam. If you are considering this place, stop looking and BOOK IT! It's better than the pics haha!

Absolutely perfect house and location. Very private and great yard, pool, and outdoor seating areas. Fully stocked state of the art kitchen. No detail forgotten and extremely clean. Quality decor. Wonderful host who was super helpful with all questions about the area and what to do! House is an open floor plan with breathtaking ocean views. Would only stay here on next visit!!

We found our week long stay at Laura’s residence to be unforgettable! From the beautiful views, well groomed and colorful landscaping, the pool, fire pit and well stocked home, our stay was a perfect kid-free getaway for 3 couples! Laura was always eager to help us plan dinners out if needing suggestions or to answer any questions we may have had! We enjoyed a beach day with snorkeling in Fredrickested (Louie’s Nachos Bar), sunset dinner at AMA, Mother’s Day brunch at Caroline’s, a ferry ride to Hotel on the Cay for some beach bbq, a charted snorkel tour to Buck Island, and ended our week with another sunset dinner at Duggan’s Reef for Lobster! We came away from this vacation rested, happy and eager to plan our return. This property is a must stay when visiting St. Croix! You won’t be disappointed!

My days and hours spent pouring over every detail in all available villas in St. Croix were well spent as I'm convinced that we couldn't have found a more amazing place on the entire island! I'll admit that I am very particular to every item which includes great outdoor furnishings (as well as indoors), comfortable bedding and fully stocked kitchens and I was NOT disappointed with Vista del Mar! The 180 views were beyond spectacular from sunrise to sunset and the gorgeous landscaped yard provided privacy along with a tropical feel. The bedding was divine, I've even ordered some for my home now. The adjustable beds were an extra too! Well stocked in everything you need for an island vacation, down to boogie boards, coolers and water shoes. The owner Laura went out of her way to make sure we had every comfort and even offered to come home to help us one day when we found out we had a flat tire in her driveway! Thankfully the car rental place took care of it for us but she was ready to assist. The covered outdoor kitchen, the adirondacks around the firepit . . .If you're looking for every comfort THIS IS THE PLACE.

Laura was a phenomenal host. Her home was well stocked with everything you could possibly need (and more!). She left us a sweet welcome gift, guided us through the house when we arrived, and was always available with suggestions for things to do and see on the island. (Note: She lives on the property but unless we reached out to her she was unnoticeable.) You can NOT beat the views and comfort her home provides. 10/10 would stay again. You will not be disappointed. (Final thought- the drive to her home is a bit rocky and kind of steep, so I recommend renting a jeep or something similar that can handle the road. BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!)

We just got back from a week's stay at this property and I can't begin to tell you how absolutely perfect this property is and how wonderful the owner, Laura is. This was our 3rd time visiting St. Croix and our first time staying at his property and I can honestly say this is hands down the best property we stayed at. The house is absolutely beautiful and Laura has provided everything you could possibly want in every room of the house. The 180 degree views of the ocean are breathtaking. Yes, Laura stays in the house next to this one, but honestly, you will be glad she is there, unless you have a question for her, you never really see her. We asked her for several restaurant suggestions and she was very helpful in giving us some great suggestions, every one of them was great. The outdoor space at the property is more than anyone could ask for, a beautiful pool with plenty of lounge chairs and other chairs to sit around the pool, the fire pit area and the beautiful outdoor kitchen. We would definitely rent this house again.

Book this property! From the moment we arrived we were a bit awestruck.The property is exactly as advertised and spectacular. The pool area is gorgeous. Our two teenagers loved the pool and the pool toys. As the sun moved, there was always somewhere comfy around the pool you could sit in the sun or in the shade. The home is exceptionally clean and I don’t say that lightly. She has thought of so many details that I’ve never seen a VRBO owner care about and execute so incredibly. The kitchen is GORGEOUS and was great for cooking every day. The power went out for a bit one day (it was super windy and rainy). Laura texted me and offered to turn on the generator. I told her that we were okay (we were reading and playing games) but she turned it on anyways after a short while which was pretty great so that we were able to watch movies. Happily, regular power was restored after not too long. We knew Laura lived in a cottage on the property and worried about privacy, however that was not an issue. We saw her briefly most days if we were outside, but she was just checking in to see if we needed anything. We loved her and her beautiful home! I’d have liked a few hooks outside to hang sandy beach towels and/or suits since we didn’t want to bring them inside or leave them on her awesome outdoor furniture or railing all night. That isn’t a complaint… small detail that may help keep sand out of the home… particularly with kids:) Thank you for the opportunity to relax at your home! AMAZING!

I will try to keep this short and kind. We spent a lot of money to find out that the property isn’t truly your own place. The property manager lives along side the pool/courtyard area. The owners said they didn’t mind my wife wears skimpy swim suit but that’s a deal breaker for us. In our opinion this defeats the purpose of renting your own place for a couple weeks. Then to find out there’s cameras all over the place upon arrival. These details were not accurately listed when we rented the house until after we complained. We literally didn’t want to be at the house and we rented it for roughly 2 weeks.

Property was spotless and the decor was beautiful. Laura was easy to work with and answered all my questions. She met us upon arrival to make sure we could find the home the first time. Everything you could possibly need was provided, including pool and beach towels and beach chairs. We spent more time lounging at the home than we thought we would because it was so comfortable with the ocean breezes and views. There’s also a built in ice machine in the kitchen that we all loved and want now at home! We can’t wait to come back! It was a great week with friends and having this home to come back to was the icing on the cake!

Wow! That was my initial reaction when I walked onto the property. It was even better than the pictures online. Everything about this place was top notch. No details were skipped in making this an amazing getaway... everything you would ever want from a home away from home was provided. The attention to detail was impressive. The beds were so comfortable! The views were amazing no matter where I stood on the property. Our family enjoyed the beautiful pool and loved being able to cook out and enjoy the outside dining area. The owner was as gracious and kind of a host as anyone could ever want. This is easily one of the most beautiful places I ever stayed with my family. I highly recommend the Vista del Mar! Five Stars all the way!

After over a quarter century of world travels, we have found the finest accommodations atop a hillside in St. Croix. It's hard to find enough superlatives to describe Vista Del Mar. The renovated property is drop dead gorgeous. The view is spectacular! If you have been to STX before, after one time driving up the hill (preferably in a 4WD vehicle) and you will be fine. Prepare to be wowed by the view, the decor, the linens and furnishings, the well equipped kitchen, the pool with a beautiful fountain, and the expansive outdoor spaces including an outdoor kitchen with covered dining table and a fire circle. The house was perfect for two couples, with one couple upstairs in the primary suite and the other downstairs with a kitchenette and lounging space, as well as two bedrooms and bathrooms. Laura has pulled together beautiful furnishings and decor to create a unified look that is a serene and elegant "seaside chic" incorporating quiet creams, whites, and greys, with accents of blue, silver and gold. The super comfy sofas in the main living area are great for reading or watching a movie on the large TV. We respected Laura's request that no food or bevvies be consumed on the white furniture, and for this reason and also the open staircase and pool close to the house, I would think people with small children, or rowdy teens (or adults!) might look elsewhere for a place if the aesthetics aren't so important. But if you appreciate great decor and homey comforts on vacation, this is the place for you. The kitchen was better equipped than any place we've ever stayed, so much so that one of us baked fresh bread everyday. We used the kitchen a lot to prepare fresh soups and salads for al fresco lunches, and a NYE dinner. Location is convenient to Christiansted, east side beaches and restaurants, though the house exerts a strong gravitational pull that led us to stay in two other nights for casual meals/carryout pizza, which is something we haven't done so much on past visits. The house is well stocked with pool and beach towels, and has the cleanest most well organized "beach closet" we have ever seen, with nice chairs, beach toys, and a variety of water shoes. Laura is a friendly and attentive host, but not at all intrusive. If you have the good luck to encounter her charming pup, Annabelle, you can get a little "dog fix" if you're missing your own best friend. Truly a wonderful place! We're hoping to return someday.

We were thrilled with our choice to spend Christmas in St Croix this year and even more thrilled that Vista Del Mar exceeded our expectations in every way! It is located up a hilly road so we were glad we rented two jeeps for our family. The views are spectacular, the decor and artwork are so comfortable and beautiful - we felt right at home in this tranquil and luxurious home. The kitchen is equipped with everything and anything you could think of. We went out for dinners and had chefs come in so we did not cook dinners but the kitchen had it all. Every detail has been thought of to make you feel at home such as robes for all, pool towels, beach towels, beach chairs, snorkels and water shoes. There was even the most exquisite coastal Christmas tree set up In the living area. I can’t say enough about the views - sitting outside enjoying coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening was simply perfection. As for the owner, Laura, I can’t say enough praise about her. She is on property but we barely knew she was there! If we had any questions she was immediately responsive. She is so lovely in every way and we can’t wait to return!

We were in St Croix with our older children (15-25) before Christmas and absolutely fell in love with this house and Laura. We’ve stayed in multiple rental homes on the island and this was far and away the nicest and most well equipped. I felt like Laura had thought of everything we might need during our trip and had it available for us. The house is beautiful, immaculately clean and the view is breathtaking. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is an outdoor kitchen and grill as well. We made breakfasts and dinners at the house and found absolutely everything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms are newly renovated, so comfortable and again, well equipped. I really cannot say enough good things about this property. We are hoping to come back again next year and stay longer!

Photos don’t do this lushly landscaped and luxuriously appointed villa justice. Towels, toiletries, every amenity you could think of was thoughtfully provided. There were steady trade winds outside and cool a/c throughout. There is even a blue tooth ready sound system so you could listeh to you own music by the pool. We were three couples traveling together but everyone had plenty of space. It was like staying at the Four Seasons but having the entire propery all to ourselves. Everything at this villa was top notch from the high end furnishings and designer decor to the private pool and outdoor kitchen and dining. There were stunning views of Buck Island and the Virgin Islands out every window and multiple seating groups on the upper and lower wrap around decks outside to enjoy it. We never wanted to leave. This is a breathtaking property.

I'm not sure where to even start. Both the views and the property are absolutely incredible. The photos do not do the views/property justice. Each day started with gazing off the deck while drinking our morning coffee, followed by daily dips in the pool sipping frozen rum drinks and ended with watching the sunset from the firepit area. When the sun was gone, the firepit was lit and was perfect for hanging out watching the stars. There are plenty of options to sit in relax in your own private area or hang out together as a group. The outdoor grill area was perfect for cooking a nice steak dinner one night. Again, the 180 view of Buck Island to the east then the sun setting in the west was amazing. There are not many properties on the island that have such a view. This was our 5th stay in St. Croix and I highly recommend this property. Our group was already discussing our return trip before we left. Laura was the best host I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with; she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She was available and happy to answer any questions we had and also provide recommendations to us from which local beach to go to along with restaurants. The home was impeccable and it was obvious Laura takes great pride in her property. She made sure that the kitchen and bedrooms were stocked with everything we needed from extra pool towels, beach gear, all the kitchen utensils we could need, coffee maker, blender, etc.. A+ recommendation for Vista Del Mar and we hope to see you again Laura!

When a rental property doesn’t have a lot of reviews and all those reviews are five-star ones, it can make you wonder if those five-star ratings are really deserved. But this home is worthy of only five-star ratings! Our visit was honestly like staying at a luxurious, boutique hotel—only far more private. The ocean views are over 180-degrees, looking out to Green Cay and Buck Island. You can see both sunrise and sunset from the property’s many outdoor spaces. The pool was on the smaller side but delightful and surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. The house was well appointed with two kitchens, two living areas, two dining areas, three bedrooms, and three full baths. It was perfect for adults to have their space and our daughters to have their own “hang out.” The home is beautifully furnished and decorated. Laura, the property’s owner, was on hand in an attached cottage. She was lovely, welcoming, and kind. She had great ideas about where to go, what to do, and where to dine, and even made reservations for us. It was like having our very own concierge. The whole experience made for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation. We hope to stay at this jewel of a rental again!

The chef’s kitchen is thoughtfully provisioned with high end appliances, tools and even snacks and beverages to begin our stay. The outdoor space is stunning and the outdoor kitchen and dining gazebo was the perfect spot for casual evening dinners overlooking the water and recounting our daily adventures together. Too many wonderful details - amazing beds, comfy spaces, pool, indoor/outdoor bar, quality bedding, towels, etc. Do not forego this rental. We had an amazing time here and all agree it was the best VRBO house we have rented to date. Thank you Laura! You are the best!

Vista Del Mar is exquisite and host Laura is gracious and thoughtful. The property is beautiful inside and out with some of the best views on the island. The outside boasts a private pool, outdoor kitchen with dining area and fire pit. You can enjoy the night sky from the deck, soak in amazing views from inside this beautiful home or outside. There is plenty of space from everyone. Laura is amazing. She is truly invested in making sure your experience is an exceptional one. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. She walked us through the property to show us the run of the place. There was cold beer and soft drinks in the fridge and coffee available for the first morning. She understood the first day arriving is tough and so she makes the first day easy. Of all the VRBO properties we have stayed, this was the best! St Croix is a wonderful island with lots to do and Laura can advise you on all it has to offer. We would not hesitate to come back again!

On par with the Ritz and Four Seasons there is nothing in this home that has not been thought of! Pebble ice, fluffy white towels, William Sonoma pots and pans, heinkles knives, comfortable furniture, reliable internet, and plenty of beach toys. No expense was spared. You will want for nothing at Laura’s home! The host was truly wonderful. Would not hesitate to book again. Five stars!!

This property is absolutely stunning. The details in the decor and amenities for the guest was well thought of. The views are spectacular, room were spacious, pool and outdoor area were amazing, and not to mention the welcome drink available upon your arrival. This was one of the most comfortable and well appointed homes we have ever rented. The views are amazing, the cross breeze divine and the home is exactly as a sophisticated beach home should look & feel. You can see and feel the great care that has been taken over the last 2 years to create this gem. We spent our days exploring beaches, doing a lot of snorkeling, a bit of shopping and a half day to Buck's Island. Even after hot days in the sun we never needed to use the aircon in the main rooms, shocking how quickly it cooled down. Our teenage boys loved having the bottom floor to themselves. The backyard was lovely and the grill area at night is so pretty with the lights on. I enjoyed cooking dinner each night with quality appliances and tools. I did book without realizing that Laura lived on site and, in all candor, we almost cancelled as we are a pretty private family. I am so please that we didn't do that! While we did occasionally see each other and interact she is lovely and thoughtful, it was not awkward at all. Thank you for sharing your home with us! I will be dreaming of the sunsets from the balcony for quite some time. You will not regret your stay at Vista Del Mar!
