Small, but well laid out for 11 in our family, easy walk to beach and diner

Awesome pool and house for family or friends

Great recently renovated home with lots of space, thoughtful amenities, and a beautiful backward. Maintenance staff was very prompt and responsive with an AC issue we had. Only complaint was one of the bedroom and bathroom was not cleaned upon arrival, and despite two calls, no one came to remedy. Even with that, would stay again.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The kitchen and dining area was roomy and the living room was big and comfy. The house and pool were very clean. The pool was perfect and we spent most of our time in or around it. The outside shower was very clean and looked fairly new. We always had hot water for showers. There was a nice porch in the front with rocking chairs and a garage to store our chairs. The location to the beach is close enough to walk or drive to it in less than five minutes. We had babies with us so we mostly drive. There are two playgrounds within walking distance and Rehoboth Avenue is less than 10 minutes away. The only drawbacks were that the second night we were there the bed broke during the night as we were sleeping. We called VACASA and it took two days and multiple phone calls before anyone came out. The repairman noticed that the bed was not structurally sound and he was able to screw everything together and the bed was fine afterwards. However, we had to sleep on the couch for two nights. Also, the house was advertised with six bedrooms and the bedroom that was above the garage was uninhabitable due to mold on the ceiling above the air conditioner. There was also a loud dehumidifier running in the bathroom but the room was still damp. We did contact VACASA and they sent someone to the house to spray bleach on the mold spots, however, no one was comfortable sleeping in that room due to the mold, dampness and loud dehumidifier. Again, some of the family had to sleep on the couch. The owner did refund us $250 for the inconveniences, but we paid a lot of money for a six bedroom house, which had only five usable bedrooms, so we felt that we deserved more of a refund. If not for the unlivable mold bedroom and the bed breaking it would be a 5 star.

Multiple unannounced deliveries and servicing took place at the house which disrupted the stay. Though not the best beach rental experience, it was overall a good house in a good location with easy access to many beaches and close to several restaurants and shops.

Liked the house, location. Wish vacasa was more responsive to our requests.
