Location was great. It is right on the ocean at high tide. Rooftop hot tub was a highlight.

You wake up every morning to thousands of ants... in the bathroom on your toothbrush, in the kitchen in the garbage and cupboards and sink, trails of them on the floor.

Fantastic location pure relaxation beautiful home

The home is beautiful inside and very clean. View & proximity to the ocean is amazing! Great set up for our family & plenty of space to spread out & enjoy the view, watch a movie & relax!

Overall, the home and location were decent, but the management and customer service was absolutely horrible!! We have rented vacation homes multiple times in multiple locations, and even owned and managed our own 5-star luxury vacation rental. This was our absolute worst experience ever! Vacasa, the management company of this malibu home made our experience a nightmare! We had multiple issues with the home when we arrived, and there was no help manual available, so we attempted to contact the management company Vacasa. Nobody answered our call and all we got was a message saying “we are experiencing a high call volume…if you need help send a text to (another number)”. So we texted that number and nobody returned our texts or calls after multiple attempts! After multiple attempts to contact Vacasa through calls and texts over several days to get ANYONE from Vacasa to return our calls or texts, nobody got back to us until the last day!! (That person representing Vacasa said he wasn’t really familiar with the home). (We were even at one point referred to another number to call that was a actually a booking.com number that again nobody answered.) We were completely ignored by Vacasa! The home was not ready to be rented!. We wasted hours of our vacation frustratingly trying to figure out how to fix multiple issues with the home, figuring out how to operate items in the rental, or waiting for a return call which never came! Among the issues…none of the 4 indoor or outdoor fireplaces worked (not even the one by the hot tub); firepit did not work; televisions had no cable or satellite or youtube tv, making them unusable (we brought our own apple tv and firestick and gaming system, but the tv’s were framed in a way that allowed no access to the back of the tv usb’s to use them); some tv’s didn’t have a remote, none of the wall or external sonos speakers were connected to tv’s making them unusable; hot tub wouldn’t heat above lukewarm 92 degrees; we had to find a hose to fill the hot tub ourselves because the level was too low to use; very uncomfortable beds because the sheets were not fitted (so they didn’t fit the bed), so had to basically sleep on the rough plastic mattress cover; outdoor tv didn’t turn on; firepit didn’t work because we discovered the propane tank was empty; no coffee or coffee filters for coffee pot; no extra towels; no beach items; son cut toe on dangerous hazardous sharp rusty metal sticking out on stairs to beach, minimal toiletries, lots of trash outside front of home including dirty underwear; homeless wandering around; the last guests’ trash not removed and still in garage making it stink like rotting food; etc., etc… We did our best to try to enjoy our vacation, but we expected much more for such an expensive vacation rental. The owner of this property should consider immediately firing the management company “Vacasa”, because they were completely incompetent in managing this property and provided absolutely no customer service for us!
