The cabaña was cozy and a lovely sitting area outside with a hammock. Anna the cat would come and chill with us. The pool was nice and the lounges beside the pool were very comfortable. The birds in the morning were amazing to hear. The breakfast is a varied selection & the fruit platter was very tasty. It is a very beautiful stay and our favourite thus far of our holiday.

Villa Morena is about 2 km from the beach & the taxis charge 500 pesos 1 way so it can get quite pricey coming and going. The restaurant is more pricey than I expected but the food was really nice.

Everything was just perfect! The cabanas are located in the jungle, surrounded by a big and well-maintained park. The pool is lovely and clean, and you will always have your privacy. The hosts are super-friendly, breakfast is delicous; and don’t miss having dinners as well!

Well designed and comfortable cabins, superb setting. lovely owners and great service. the breakfast is superb, we loved the coffee and home made yoghurt . Also cleaned our clothes within a day at a very reasonable rate. Close to Akuma beach, where we enjoyed spending the day at Lol Ha.

We absolutely loved this property. Vanessa, Manuel and the others were so nice and always wanted to make sure our needs were met. This place is in the jungle, so you get all the beautiful tropical lushness.

Thé hôtel was amazing

What a little treasure of a hotel! We all had difficulty leaving the place. The cabanas are so well designed, breathable, natural, super clean and there is absolutely nothing missing. You can even cook. Guest beers when we arrived and a breakfast to die for. Private hammocks and private parking for each cabana. The owners are a family of Italians and you do have a proper cappuccino in Mexico! The swimming-pool is lovely, nice temperature, soft natural stones and very well looked-after. This place deserves nothing less but a straight 5.0 rating.

Staff were very friendly and lways happy to help and make sure we were comfortable and happy. The breakasts were amazing with fresh juice and home cooked food. The pool was awesome and it was amazing to be surrounded by wildlife.

The kitchen in our cabina could have been a bit better equiped but was perfectly adequate for a little bit of cooking we did.

Villa Morena is beautiful! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with pretty touches throughout. Vanessa and her family are so lovely and helpful. We ended up having dinner there every night as it was so yummy :) Would recommend having a car if you are staying here longer than a couple of days as it is quite expensive to get taxis.

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Morena. The property is beautiful and the pool is the perfect temperature. Since it's a smaller resort we often felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. It was a very peaceful place to stay in comparison to the mega resorts down the road. All of the food and drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced. On top of that, the family running it is wonderful and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. We would absolutely come back here.

The mattresses weren't the most comfortable but we still slept just fine. Also, it's quite far back on a bit of a bumpy road, but that wouldn't stop us from coming back. :)

Beautiful cabin/ garden, peaceful environment, extremely clean, delicious home-made breakfast, the owners are thoughtful and kind. We're so grateful we got to spend 3 days here. Highly recommend if you rent a car and would like to experience the jungle side.

It's eco-living so there is no AC, can get a bit hot at night. but it didn't affect the wonderful experience we have.

It is an absolutely wonderful place, run by the family, who is helpful, kind and involved in making you feel part of their private wonderful place in the world. Breakfast is delicious, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the garden is beautiful. Before the visit, I was afraid of bugs in the house, but that was unnecessary. Mosquito nets work, additional mosquito nets above the bed ensure complete safety.

This place is noisy at night because of the freeway. The freeway is far away but still very noisy there. In earplugs it wasn't a problem for me. Sometimes there is no internet in the room.

It is beyond beautiful and excellent maintained. The cabins around the natural pool are so beautiful. Great place to have a proper rest and be in contact with nature.

Villa Morena was the absolute best accommodation of our holiday. Our little bungalow was charmingly decorated and very comfortable. The natural pool was beautiful and refreshing. The grounds are stunning, and the hosts such lovely people. Breakfasts were luscious, and the two (Italian!) dinners we had there were both memorable. We will never forget the warmth of the welcome, the attention to detail, and the respect paid to the environment. Totally recommended!

Our stay here was fantastic. Run by a lovely family, Vanessa was super attentive, she booked us taxis into town and let us borrow bikes to get around! The location is a little out of town but it’s worth that 10 min cab ride to be hidden away in this beautiful resort. You can’t find this in town! I would highly recommend staying here opposed to the hotels and casas in the centre! It was perfect and peaceful in such a gorgeous setting. It was nice to go out for the day and come back late afternoon and just relax in the most beautiful place, we had a wonderful breakfast with fresh juices each day! If I could stay longer we would !! Stunning! Thank you for a wonderful stay

it is a very beautiful and relaxing place to stay! I would really love to come back but with a car only :) the pool, the hammock, the breakfast, the complimentary products were all just incredible good!

unfortunately without a car it is very difficult to drive through the jungle to grab a bite at the city of Akumal. My partner and I we love rinding bikes but even for us the rocky road was difficult on some parts on the way to drive. especially when there are hundreds of mosquitoes attacking :)
