I’m so glad I stayed here. The location was superb. In middle of town but easy to get to train station or get a cab. Even solo as a woman I was able to go out at night and walk through the town to restaurants and shops safely. The receptionists were great. Very helpful in navigating thru town. The room was spacious. Lots of room to spread out your things. Shower was really good. Nice breakfast buffet. Rooftop bar was great.

Hotel in excellent location and within walking distance to bars, shops and Girona town. Staff friendly and helpful, great buffet breakfast and rooftop bar. Wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend it.

Ideally situated for short walk to old town (5 mins) one way and main shopping area the other. Walkable to rail / bus station (10 min on foot) and quick access to motorway for short journey to airport (20 mins/ 35 euros by taxi) .
Rooms basic but very clean, powerful shower, comfortable beds and quiet. Efficient air conditioning. Lovely roof terrace for drinks and tapas.

A fantastic stay! Staff were extremely helpful, pointing out historical sights to see. The hotel was very clean, with a lovely rooftop bar area with amazing views. The added bonus of a car park facility, albeit a very tight squeeze.

Location is great, just a couple of minutes walk from the Pl Independencia and then across the river into the Old Town / Jewish Quarter. We booked one of the 4 star rooms and it was very spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom and a great shower. TV has some international channels. Mini bar was reasonably priced.
Great rooftop bar which is open late. The only minor letdown in the room was nescafe coffee sachets and plastic mugs!

Hotel had great breakfasts, and locked bike storage that had a bike cleaning station and repair/work station. Everything was clean and well maintained. Fantastic location close to bike routes, train station, old town and restaurants.

Pity there was no kettle for coffee and tea making (but this was supplied quickly when we asked for that). Safe luggage store room. Did not try breakfast or other food at the hotel.

Wonderful stay for two nights in Girona. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. A shout out to Glenda at the front desk. Breakfast was wonderful. Room was spacious and well appointed. The location was ideal with just 5 mins walk to the old city and 10 mins walk to the train station.
The only criticism that I have is not so much for the hotel itself but for the hospitality industry in general in Spain. The AC was not on and granted that it was February but people coming from cold area feel hot even at lowish temperatures, so it would have been nice to be able to control the air conditioning.
All in all, highly recommended and we would stay here again.

We spend 1 night in Hoyel Gran Ultonia in Girona.
Its located in the city enter so its not that easy to park your car.
All in all very clean and friendly staff.
Especially the man working the reception.
I recommand this hotel for people on busines or ig your looking for a night sleep while driving yo your vacation destination.
If you want to spend a week with kids on the Spanish coast I would go for a different hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was a good size and I had requested a bath which we got. Roof top bar was lovely. The breakfast was really good. Local produce and lots of organic items. Had very good variety e.g, 8 different chesses and juices (never seen pomegranate juice in a hotel before). The position was very good with stroll into the old town. Would recommend the hotel and also would recommend Girona.

Very well appointed hotel in a great area for visiting central and old town Girona. Very helpful staff. Good value for money. Breakfast buffet everything you’d expect and good sections for special dietary needs. Car park is convenient and secure but has some pretty tight bends which may be difficult in a larger car. We found the hotel a little hard to locate on google maps when approaching in a car.

Very comfortable hotel and spotlessly clean throughout. Staff professional but friendly. Particularly enjoyed the sun terrace on the 4th floor. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Girona.
