Perfect in all aspects. We called before booking and informed them we have a high car. They had valet parking. We parked at the reception. They removed the cones for us. We had a 2.4 meters high car. We took the luggage and they took the car to the back of the hotel. You can have access to the car from the hotel's back door. The reception staff were amazing. The decor is old but still grand. The room was big, had all the amenities. Bathroom had a 'window' over the bathtub looking into the room, but you can close the blind by turning the small knob in the bathroom. Quiet rooms. Breakfast was buffet..15€ per person if you book it at the reception before breakfast. The location is spot on. Walking distance to the lovely promenade. Restaurants galore!!

I recently stayed at the Movenpick Izmir and was so impressed by the hotel and staff. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately I fell ill during my stay, but the hotel staff went above and beyond to assist and accommodate me. They helped me arrange trips to the hospital, delivered my medication when I couldn't get out of bed and sent tea up to the room for me. They called to check on me throughout my stay and truly made me feel cared for.
I will come back to Izmir to see what I missed while sick and I will definitely stay at the Movenpick again!

This hotel is simply OLD and you see and feel it.
I wa ethereal some 9 years ago and it only went worse. In the room was stinking for cigarettes and old fashioned air condition was all night switching on and switching off … anyway there are much better hotels in Izmir

A good chain hotel in the heart of Izmir. Rooms are a little dated but still well maintained. Service was excellent.

The A/C does not provide sufficient cooling even in the most powerful setting. Considering the previous reviews from other clients, this seems like an unresolved issue and makes the room uncomfortable. The room was clean although there were some spots showing its age. Staff&service were great but maintenance and facilities need some work. I don’t think I will stay here again unless the A/C problem is resolved.

Knowledgeable and properly trained Hotel Staff. Its a professionally run Hotel, happy to assist with requests. The location is perfect. Great restaurants & shops. If its a pizza, Venedik Pizza is close by & the food/shopping at Konak Pier is very good. The Old Town is a short distance away.

The hotel is okay - but not amazing that I would want to stay again. We arrived on April 23, and the room AC didn't work. We were informed that central heating was still on for the whole hotel, and that air conditioning individual rooms was not an option. The staff was friendly and offered a fan, which was a reasonable solution. The hotel is walking distance to the seaside and to so many shopping and dining options.

It has the comfort (silent, clean, safe, comfy bed) of a five star hotel in the city center (easy access). But the roof bar was not operating so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful city view with a drink. There was not also in-room coffee maker.

On my final night there was no hot water to shower with. I tried to tell the reception, but 3/4 of the staff behind the desk disappeared into an office as I approached. The one person left behind seemed to not understand what I was saying to her.
I asked a local colleague to report my issue in Turkish and the hotel response "was rude" in the words of my colleague.

It was clearly stated on the advertisement that the room was sea front although the room was located right in front the Türk Telekom building. The sea could only be partially seen from the room itself. And this is not acceptable. I will never stay there again as I paid a quite price because it was advertised as a room located with full sea view.

I liked the location. Only few staff can speak good English, most of them I had difficulty communicating with them. I also did not like the loud noise coming from the nightclub on the 11th floor to my room on the 9th floor. They were not flexible to extend the checkout one hour, but they were nice to provide me with a room to pray and I really appreciate that.

For my first time in izmir i chose the movenpick hotel, expecting standard high quality service, we came in and no one offered to carry our luggage, or take them, the receptionists did their jobs but were very scanty when it came to inquiries and information, as if they expect you to know everything, barely eye contact, we took the wrong elevator and no one bothered to guide us to the right elevators, however tgrre was a receptionist at night who took the time to explain and did his job well and had a smile on his face :) i chose to have breakfast the following morning, i was told by the receptionist that it cost 14€ (around 250 turkish lira), when i finished they hurried to bring me the receipt where it cost 300 tl, overall not really crazy about the 5 star hotel

We got two rooms at the end of the long hallway where there is an additional door when closed you can leave your rooms' doors open to connect two rooms which is a handy feature for families with children. The breakfast is quite rich and location is perfect - walking distance to all major locations in İzmir.
