My wife and I had an amazing time at the Best Western in Carmel! The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is very centrally located right in Carmel downtown. I would highly recommend?

Place was okay but the rooms were smelling like some kind of perfume. Unfortunately we got this place the last minute because we were not planning to stay in Carmel which I found too expensive.
The lady in the front desk was nice but the place needed extra work.

The Town House Lodge is an old building which has been updated as best it can. The bathroom has the original bathtub sink structure with new hardware. They should have added grab bars for the shower when it was remodeled. We were advised that our room would not be cleaned during our 2 day stay "so that we would not be disturbed". The breakfast gets rated a C minus. It had only 8 seats. You were invited to take your food and hike up a flight of stairs for additional seating. The hotel's best feature is its location very near Ocean Drive and walkable to shops and restaurants.

Great place to stay when you want to walk around carmel. However, if you move your car it will be hard to find parking again. There is no AC, the breeze is excellent. However, the noise outside will keep you awake if you’re a light sleeper. The lady at the office is so sweet and helpful.

It Iis a simple hotel, affordable compared to the others hotels in the area. Coffe and tea complimentary in lobby, breakfast served from 7 to 10am. Free parking.

Location location location! Easy walk to Ocean Avenue where you’ll find all the restaurants (Mission Bistro!), galleries, tasting rooms and shopping. Plenty of free parking, clean efficient little rooms that have been upgraded. For the price, it’s perfect. There are cute flower-covered bungalows across the street for twice the $$ - I chatted with a lady staying there who said they were run down…so, don’t judge the Best Western, it’s an adequate, comfortable stay for the short time you’ll be in the room.
Pro tip - if it’s foggy and you crave sunshine, drive into Carmel Valley for wine tasting at Folklore then go a few miles further to Carmel Valley Village where there are a dozen tasting room with beautiful Mountain View’s.

Great location and conveniently located near many shops and great restaurants within walking distance! Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious and bathroom was very nice. The only reason I gave them 4/5 stars is because the shower pressure within my room (103) was extremly low.
For some reason, if you turned the lever all the way to "hot", the pressure was okay, but if you wanted semi-warm water (turning the lever to middle), the pressure would go down. Obviously, I did not want scorchign hot water, so it was a bit of a nuissance to shower under warm, low pressure water. I think this is an easy fix if the staff got a maintenance guy to fix this. We were here just for one night so I did not have an opportunity to address this to staff in morning because we left early and this is not a 24-hour staffed facility.

WE CHECKED IN ABOUT 2 IN THE AFTERNOON. FROM THEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT IT SOUNDED LIKE THEY WERE MOVING FURNITURE. A LOT OF NOISE AND BANGING. NEW RENO TOO MODERN AND COLD.

toilet did not work properly, would not flush. they did not change our room or make any offer to compensate, my husband ended up fixing. their maintenance person could not figure out what to do. coffee in lobby & breakfast very weak. food poor. breakfast room uninviting. requested additional towels for our 2nd night, did not receive, their policy to conserve. towels, bedding & mattresses poor quality. location was only positive. im not a basher but this place had so many things wrong. the frig was set inside of a cabinet you had to keep the door cracked to let the motor heat escape so the frig would stay cold. not all the hooks were attached to the curtain so it did not stay closed properly. ended up frustrated and annoyed.
