The staff was helpful and nice, the room was decent enough, although it could have had a little maintenance, drooping shelf in bathroom and there was a window with a slightly broken hasp, resulting in a cold room. Fixed by getting an oven from the reception for 1 day, then I managed to lock the window better. Also the lighting is a bit sparse in the room, with finicky lights by the bed and finicky outlets. But this is just minor issues. Breakfast is decent and alot of choices. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the best possible area to get to anywhere almost, be it the Nidarosdome cathedral, Science museum, army museum, Stiftsgården, the old city bridge, shopping areas, concert venues. Etc.

Close to city center

Good hotel in the middle of the city - everything you want to see is in a walking distance. Breakfast offered a good selection. Rooms were quite small.

Room was very nice, breakfast was delicious. Great location. Could have used a fan to cool things off as city is noisy with windows open at night.

This is a good hotel. The area where i stayed showed its older architecture. It is not a luxury hotel but it did its job quite well. The location is excellent and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

A great location in the city centre, with friendly staff

Overall hotel was ok. Should have been told up front that the elevator only went “6” floors. We are older and our room was on the 7th floor! Shower in our room leaked over bathroom floor when taking shower. Cleaner did not pick up dirty/cups & glasses until the last day we were there. Each day we put them on the desk or finally the window sill. All in all we decided to stick it out and not complain. There was one very sweet desk clerk girl that went out of her way to get us clean cups and one night the tv would not work and my husband thought it might be the remote batteries and she found new ones and he changed them and that was the problem. Also one day our room was not cleaned and she was so sorry and she found us clean towels. I would like to say that the bed was very comfortable.

Good value. Amazing location: heart of town, easy to reach, classic oldtown. Amazing breakfast, lots to choose from. Had a good night's sleep. Staff listened and helped.

I sent out laundry two days before my departure. The staff never sent it to the cleaners and did not inform me. When I inquired about my laundry the evening before I checked out, I was presented with my dirty laundry with no explanation. Irresponsible of the hotel. Disappointing for me, to say the least.

Everything great except toilet too close to wall making it very uncomfortable.

Well positioned place to stay in Trondheim. A good shower with plenty of hot water. Great hot and cold breakfast buffet.

Thon Hotel Trondheim was in a great central location. Easily walking distance to Nidarosdomen and also to Trondheim Central Station, not to mention that the hotel was in the same complex as Trondheim Torg shopping center. The staff was helpful and the hotel room was kept in great condition. The hotel breakfast included in my room price was also amazing and there was a large variety of hot and cold food and drink options. I can see myself staying here again when I visit Trondheim again in the future.

The location is perfect! There is a shopping mall next door. McDonalds opens til 4am on Friday and Saturday so no worries you get hungry when night out on weekend. Walking distance to sightseeing like Nidaros Cathedral, The Old Town, even central mean street. They have great breakfast options which you wont be disappoint. And they even have a coffee machine at lobby so you can have free coffee anytime you want! Definitely recommend stay here!
