Car park space not enough. But we can park on the street nearby.

The Devon is lovely. The restaurant had a beautiful selection of food (buffet) and all the staff were amazing. Even the late night cleaner went out of his way to help us! The only recommendation would be to be aware of the upper floors- there is no lift and as we were staying for the week we had large bags. Lugging these up the stairs was a task. If we had known that there was no lift we would have requested ground floor.

A great stay; the room was spacious and very clean. All staff I encountered were lovely - especially the two ladies in the restaurant for breakfast. I'd definitely stay again.

Not a bad place, staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are a bit dated. Beds need an upgrade and the sound proofing is non-existent. We were obviously not too far from the laundry which rattled our room with spinning and laundry noises and housekeeping start early knocking on doors! Not ours but could hear them up and down the hallway.

Really comfortable stay, we were lucky enough to get upgraded for our 2 night stay which meant we could spread out and enjoy the extra space. Hotel was clean, comfortable and safe. Parking on site was limited and slightly complicated by the popular restaurants on site as customers park there. Overall good stay.

Complimentary bikes and pass to the Aquatic centre 10 minutes away. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nice sculptures around the facilty.
Parking became difficult over the weekend, so needed to park on the road. We weren't told about alternative parking at the rear of the hotel.

Staff and check in/out were friendly and efficient. BUT the clearance between the end of the bed and the wall was 30cms at best. I needed to turn sideways to not hit the TV and I’m a slim small woman.

Just here for one night and while it’s a really short drive to the centre of town we enjoyed the 20 min walk along the Main Street to meet friends for dinner.

The shower door is a englefield brand on the shower, They are known for doing this. it needs fixing as its hard to close as it hits on the bottom sill. I am a shower door manufacturer so thats why i made this comment

Parking was atrocious had some unruly people thretning and banging on side of my van also was subjected to abuse over parking needs a big shake up parking wise maybe allocating sepreate parking for paying guest in accomodation and off street parking only for restraunt guests not staying in hotel seems they thrive on non paying accomaodtion guests than ones that actually stay and have put up with abuse from visitors not a nice experince

I arrived mid afternoon checking in was seamless, and staff friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent, and we dined at Marbles as part of a large party. Food great and service was also there was some confusion as to settling the accounts but apart from that had a great stay and I was very impressed.

you get a very affordable small room.
Check in was unpleasant, I booked with free carparking. On arrival only paid spaces were available. The receptionist said I could stay there for a short while but needed to change spaces once dinner guests were gone. As I said that I was way to tired that long, she “just for once” allowed my car in the hotel’s own paid spaces. Car-parking was a problem every night.

Outstanding service and assistance from staff. I am an amputee and the staff could have not been more helpful and discreet. The food in the restaurant, room service and bar was outstanding and amazing value for money. Could not recommend the entire premises more. We are trying to find more reasons to visit New Plymouth just to stay here again. Thanks for giving us such a great stay! ( 4 nights)

The room we were allocated certainly needed a bit of TLC as it appeared to be rather tied and walls marked which rwas in need of a paint refresh etc Plus the general carpeted walk areas required a bit of vacuuming but otherwise all in all it was good. Bed was very comfortable 👌
