Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn for 2 days. Great customer service, very clean and friendly.

I came from out of state and when she went to run my card to pay it was declined because it flagged as a suspicious transaction. She was very understanding and patient while I got ahold of my bank. I was surprised how well I was treated during this process.

It was great staying there. The room was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. From the time I checked in to now I'm getting ready to leave in the morning, my stay has been comfortable and a treat.

My biggest concern: I went to plug my phone charger into an outlet behind a chair in our room and the plug-in shorted out and sent sparks flying and started to smell like burnt plastic. So, I don’t recommend using the plug ins.
I’ve also never stayed at a “nicer” hotel that didn’t include breakfast. Expect to pay an extra $15-20 per person for a mediocre breakfast. They didn’t even have make your own waffles and a lot of the breakfast items were understocked. Also, I could not find coffee out anywhere. Which is my go to in the mornings so that was very disappointing. I would have been happier with a run to McDonald’s which I should have done instead, honestly.
On a more positive note, it was clean, quiet, and the staff was kind.
However I do not think it was worth the price we paid.
I did not end up using the other amenities like the gym or pool. So I cannot speak on those.
I’d rather give it 2.5 stars versus 3.

There were unannounced fire alarm tests causing noise without informing customers. Additionally, the elevator made noise all night and nobody seemed to care. We were unable to sleep, and the reception was aware of the issue.

The hotel is pretty nice. The staff is friendly. It took a little bit longer to check in. It was 2 bath towels in the room for 3 people. We spent most time in my cousins house so we didn’t bother the front desk , but they should know if 3 people are a staying they need 3 towels. Other than that it was ok. It was some construction work ( they did something on the roof) and blocked the driveway. Also it was not OSHA compliant , no yellow tape, etc.

The hotel was easy to find and had ample parking. It was a well maintained property and I had no safety concerns. They offered for a fee a buffet breakfast or from the menu. There was a pool and fitness room, but I did not get to use them. Although I can sleep under any conditions, my room was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel was approximately 30 minutes or less drive to the airport. My drive to downtown Chicago took about an hour if you avoided the toll routes. I enjoyed views of the surrounding suburbs.

Upon check in they don't tell you that they only clean on the third day of your stay or every other day. When they cleaned my room they left the pillows behind the tv AND ON THE CHAIR. Also they did not replenish the bathroom products. The gym was also closed during my 6 day stay. I will not stay here again.

Everything about this hotel stay was wonderful. While it is not the plushest hotel I’ve ever been to, the room was clean, a good size and offered all the amenities I could want. The front desk man was friendly and professional. I was able to park close to the building. I felt very safe in this hotel.

The staff were very nice. There was hair on the shower curtain, the shower wall, and on the ceiling. That was truly disgusting. Otherwise I had a pretty good stay.

Staff were helpful. Room and hotel was clean. Breakfast was good, but should consider charging a lower price for kids. Some items were empty/not refilled when we checked in (i.e. shampoo and towels), but brought by staff right away when requested. Pool was small. Location was convenient and close to restaurants and entertainment. Felt like a very safe, clean and nice hotel. Overall great stay.

The duvet cover was torn. The room was ok but certainly not worth $150 for one night. Not even a continental breakfast. Front desk person was not very friendly checking in-waved me off when I stepped up to check in. Didn’t even say hi.

**Hilton Garden Inn Review**
I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and was quite disappointed with the experience. Upon check-in, we were ignored for ten minutes as the staff member was engaged in a lengthy conversation with someone else. This lack of attention and customer service was very frustrating.
When we finally got to our room, it had a distinct smell of mildew, which made the stay uncomfortable. Additionally, the breakfast offered was subpar, lacking variety and quality.
Overall, my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was far from satisfactory, and I hope the management takes steps to address these issues.
