I genuinely wanted to like this hotel! The price is quite reasonable given the location and size of the rooms. The staff upon check in was actually quite helpful. However, I wish I had listened to the other reviews because the rooms SMELL. Like…bad…really bad. When i read some other reviews mentioning this I thought to myself, how bad could it be? Maybe they were unlucky or just weren’t used to more budget hotels. I was wrong. When i tell you the room smelled like a living being had taken a dump behind the walls and then subsequently died from its own smell; i am not exaggerating. At a certain point i almost wondered if i was in some prank show or social study to see how long a human could last in such a condition. Needless to say, if you are desperate for a reasonably priced room—bring an air freshener with you, or two. Also, skip the breakfast — it’s just not really worth it to be honest. The first day the eggs were soggy and most of the pastries were gone within the first hour and the waffle batter stopped getting refilled. The second day of breakfast the coffee was burnt, and i found an egg shell in the eggs. it completely ruined my appetite.

Perfect location, very clean and friendly staff.

A very lovely stay. The beds pillows and linens were very cozy and comfortable. The decor was beautifu. We had a balcony too. It was a little confusing on how to open the balcony door though. Plenty of drinks in the lobby with a cozy place to sit and relax. The breakfast was excellent with a good deal of choices to pick from. The staff was very nice and quick to answer questions and attended to any additional needs we may have needed. Thank you

Could have had better WiFi, very slow

Nice sized rooms, comfortable beds, kick butt water pressure in the shower. Delightful breakfast buffet. We enjoyed it all! Highly recommend and well located to visit all major tourist attractions. You’ll love How they incorporated the old brick wall.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are very large by European standards with gorgeous views of the city.

Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean, location was convenient- right next to the Metro and across the street from central train station as well as within easy walking distance of Grand Place. We enjoyed our stay.

Booked 3 rooms, 1 was a completely different feel than the others. It was the accessible room and im disappointed this room was in the basement and had a moldy smell. Otherwise the place was close to transit and shops, the nicer rooms were clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable.

Friendly welcome. Clean room on top floor. Views lovely. Should have booked a balcony will do next time. Breakfast was lovely with fresh made scrambled eggs. Long tables at breakfast so can be a bit uncomfortable and sometimes directed to a certain table. No decaf coffee at breakfast but did have in room. Room service daily. Towels adequate. Coffee available all day at reception but again no decaf. All staff virtuous and helpful. Very central. A few steps from central station and the main eateries. Would go again

All of the above was great except the AC did not work on the 2nd floor for 2 of the days we were there unfortunately

The listing said this hotel was air conditioned, but that was a bit of a stretch. The lobby and hallways were not air conditioned. The rooms have a thermostat that runs a fan but no cool air came out of it. The windows opened but it was too noisy outside to leave them open while sleeping. I would not stay at this hotel in the summer again. This hotel would be nice in other seasons. The location was great.

The decor was cool and it was close to the train

Nice hotel but when the windows latch they still partially open. I was on the first floor so I could hear all the street noise all night. Also no shower gel so luckily I had brought my own.

Enjoyed our stay. Convenient location to major sites and train station. Breakfast was good. Selection was adequate. Front staff could be more friendly. I would stay there again.

First and foremost, the staff is exceptional. Everyone was very hospitable, warm and friendly and made me feel very welcome and cared for. It's an extremely clean hotel and you can't beat the location - right on the corner of the Central Metro station and just across two short streets from the Brussels Centraal train station which has direct lines to most of the cities you might fancy taking a little day trip to. I would absolutely recommend 9Hotel and would stay here again myself.

Property is located on edge of tourist areas and very close to central train station.

Our room was spacious and lovely. Everyone working the front desk was always super helpful which was greatly appreciated. You can’t beat the location. There’s an entrance to the underground subway literally next-door. That means you can avoid the rain when trying to get to the center of the station! There’s a ton to do in walking distance. Would definitely recommend staying here again.

Close to everything as Brussels is small

Loved every single thing about this hotel. Location, comfortable bed, clean, cool decor and the staff are amazing.

Very convenient location. A tunnel from the central station that exits steps from the hotel. Walkable to a lot of the places including Grote Markt. Quiet except for the police and ambulance sirens occasionally, which seems unusually loud compared to most places including NY but which the hotel has no control over. Nice size room for a centrally located hotel. Would recommend it.

Staff was very friendly and the location was perfect.

Probably the best location for my needs on Brussels. Right on the metro station, five minutes walking from the Main pedestrian area in the city, the Central train station is also less than 5 mins away by walk. The rooms are nice and spacious. The only downside was that the hot water in our bath wasn't hot. I stayed one night so not a big issue.

The staff were friendly and the room was spacious enough but there was an awful sewage smell that came from the bathroom from the moment we arrived. The cleaners would always leave the bathroom door closed so they must have been aware of the smell. And if you decided to leave the bathroom door open then the entire room would stink of sewage. It was really disappointing to be gagging everytime you needed to use the toilet or shower due to the stench.

Lots of construction made navigating to the hotel a small problem. It's a convenient location for shopping and transportation. Near the Belgian Chocolate Makers which is a plus in my book.

This hotel was perfect for a One night stopover in Brussels. It's a minute on foot from Brussels Central station, but still close enough to the main square for a night out. We were given an excellent room on the top floor with views over the nearby rooftops. Given the location, the room was good value.

Great hotel. 10 minute walk from the town center and literally a few steps from the Central Brussels station to get to the airport, Brugge, Ghent, etc. Helpful staff, and free breakfast. Definitely recommend.
