dirty - lots of stains everywhere, weird smell, and found dead bug
water tastes bad (I didn’t have this issue anywhere else in Alice Springs)
the pool is falling apart, very dirty, and completely in the shade
no microwave
no soundproofing - you can hear other guests close their doors, walk around and talk
not secure - anyone can walk in the front door, the hotel room doors are exterior, locks on doors are outdated, woken up in the early hours (3am) to people yelling and fighting
The shower doesn’t drain properly so you're standing in a few inches of dirty water the whole shower it also has only one tiny holder to put your products
only one main light and it needs to be changed it flickers when you turn it on and is very dim
Do not disturb sign falls off easily - I was woken up by housekeeping staff to clean my room because the sign fell off

Nice hotel in a central and convenient location. Good bed, two good pillows each and bed lights - always essentials for a comfortable stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. The only downside was that there are no balconies on this older style hotel. But a very pleasant and comfortable stay non-the-less.

Bathroom floor grout colour is generally black, but light grey under the vanity ie flighty black.

It was a good room. Right at the heart of town. Quiet and spacious.
We were not informed about breakfast possibities. When we asked they did not tell us it was until 8.30.

Property was fine restaurant was realy good pub grub.got to hotel after dark went to local shops. came across a number of drunk locals (8 ish) not a problem but i did not feel comfortable

Spent a lot to spend 12 hours in the room to sleep and shower. But better than nothing. Weird exterior door locking mechanism.
On a positive the sourdough pizza at Bella Alice was wonderful!

Regrettably, you can hear your neighbours a few rooms away, as well as those walking around on the level above.
No powerpoints near the beds, so unless you have an extension cord you either move your bed to a power point or don't use medical devices while you sleep.

I guess it’s at the right price point. You get what you pay for, but security is poor. Someone was able to open my door at 1am in the morning. Only the security latch stopped them from getting access. I’ll assume it was an over intoxicated guest trying to access the wrong room and was able to access using another room key. Either that or someone else with more sinister motives. Reported to front desk. Wrecked a good nights sleep.

Good central spot in Alice Springs to jump off to other activities. Short walk to grocery and main entertainment area. Beds are comfortable and the showers are plenty hot. It is an older hotel, so reflects the same, but with clean comfortable beds and hot water we were happy. We had the portion of the hotel where the rooms are glass walls to the outdoor hallway, which was fine, but did mean we heard all the chatter outside when some locals decided to stay up all night talking.
We appreciated that all the outer doors were locked and could only be accessed with a room key.

Lovely check in lady who was very efficient. Parking an absolute nightmare. Overpriced and noisy. If the price was halved it would still be a little on the expensive side for what it is without breakfast.

Place is central but shabby and run down & not worth the amount they charge at all. There was a leaking toilet, taps that sprayed everywhere, I had to refit the sheets on the bed and the manager refused to offer a discount on the price. Also young kids jumped the fence and had easy access to car park at night. Didn’t feel safe or comfortable. Would not recommend unless desperate

I liked the locale. We changed to better room and we were pleased with it worth the extra money. The staff were obliging and friendly. One exception,more of that later. The restaurant “Bella “was attached to the hotel. Not sure about ownership. It was good and the beef cheeks were to die for. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner which was handy as restaurants were few in the area. But one big gripe. We were on holiday and waking up late and having a leisurely breakfast is one of our highlights! Service commenced at 7 and finished at 8.30! So no sleep in. The offerings were basic. And the eggs invariably cold as was the demeanour of the host, a very grumpy man. And guess what. No patronage. Big restaurant and almost empty.

Very basic accommodation. Rooms are dated and in terrible condition (eg tiles have separated from adjoining grout). Some lights don’t work, others flicker all night even when switched off. No bed heads so the bed mattress rolls every time you try to get in. Would not stay here again.

I booked two rooms through Hotels.com a month or so ago. However, when we got there to check in, they only had one room available which was awkward and frustrating. Luckily, the hotel had an extra room.

Tired hotel. No receptionist on arrival and had to wait approximately 15 minutes with no apology when they finally arrived.
Lift wasn’t working so had to carry cases up stairs
No running cold water. Shower dangerously hot when only using cold water
Room wasn’t cleaned and no help could be given to rectify this
When booking this room it should be stipulated that some guests are paid for by the government. It was not a nice environment to be in and noisy at night with persons shouting

I had very bad noise issues for both nights.. and whilst management cannot control some issues, they can others. had a resolution in the end with the manager and i appreciated that.. however reception was not manned 24 hours as advertised, if night person goes away from desk the reception number should be patched through to his mobile. It was not.. hopefully this is resolved in the future by management. Good luck

This hotel feels more like a motel. You access the rooms via external corridors and the windows open onto the corridors. The location is great--right on the Todd Mall. The room itself was comfortable, with plenty of space to place my stuff. I was not pleased with breakfast. It included a limited selection of hot items and juice, tea of coffee. There was no fruit, cereal, or breads. I had a better breakfast by going two blocks to Woolies!

Bed was comfy & staff were friendly. The place itself needs some tlc and updating. The shower head in our room kept falling off. Our room also had a slight smell. Overpriced for what it was.

Pretty old and worn. Some pf the fixtures and fittings need a refresh. Door on my Deluxe room was stiff, cupboard doors on wardrobe came off the track and would not open and close. Dual access to the room was a little unnerving as it was unlocked before I entered.
Two saving graces were the shower, it was bloody amazing, and the comfortable bed. Not far to a Woolies and other places to town.
A bit overpriced for the quality of room.

Fire alarm went off before 6 because someone didn’t close the bathroom door as they showered. Took almost 20mins to be told what was happening. My evacuation plan had been removed from the door.
Surely something can be done to avoid this problem?!

Whilst the reception area is nice, the room we had was not. The toilet seat was cracked and there was an obnoxious smell-like too much carpet powder cleanser. It is dingy and in need of an up date. The carpet around the elevator-which was dirty-was filthy. It was late when we arrived and I did not feel like going back down stairs to reception to complain. The information about where to go for breakfast was out of date and incorrect. The shop, Bella Alice did not open until 5:30pm. The reception staff were helpful.
